Feels tight initially, then better once worn a few times. Stays firmly affiixed even when wet after swimming, no blisters.

Not much fuss to the shoe. Great tread, comfortable over 10+ miles of technical terrain and river crossings. Great OCR shoe which is what I bought it for although the mid sole tore up on ropes more than I would have expected. Will buy again when due for a new pair of OCR shoes

I guess it was my fault,I didn't realize these were hiking shoes. They are not comfortable for walking and I don't hike, I should have read the description better. I'll can't wear them. I just wanted regular sneaker.

I purchased the Jaws to use in sports. They look great! Unfortunately, they have very little of the usual Hoka feel and comfort. I thought if anyone could make a cleated shoe comfortable, it would be Hoka. I was wrong. I wear Hokas for everything else, but the Jaws are a disappointment!

Its a great shoe. Comfortable and great on the trail but I hope your feet dont sweat like mine do or you dont have to run through a lot of puddles. My feet were blue when I took off my shoes.

Totally stained my socks and looked like they were peeling son the sides after just a couple runs

The first 2 weeks I noticed the shoe was going to fall apart. I ran one 15 mile Spartan race and the toe broke open. I thought they were great on course but poorly put together.

This is my first ever pair of Hoke One One's and I was very excited about finding them. When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised by how cool they looked and how comfortable they were! I am a trail/mountain runner/obstacle course racer so I need a shoe that can handle steep ascents and steep descents, water, mud, challenging terrain and some tough conditions. The Evo Jaws do all of those things really well. I am a huge fan of a minimal shoe with high performance and these really fit the bill. I feel safe moving fast in these, they handle mud and water well and drain quickly and I feel a lot of stability in them. On the flip side, I have only had them just shy of a month and they seem to be wearing very quickly. I have put probably 50 training miles on them and just two trail races and am questioning how long they are going to last. The other thing worth a mention is that although they handle water really well they also turn my feet blue. Like, every time they get wet. That is a bit of a bummer - I have never had a pair of shoes bleed like that so I have stained some socks and after I run in wet conditions my feet are blue for about a week. Bottom line, if you want a cool looking shoe that handles terrain the Evo Jaws may be your style - as long as you don't mind having blue feet and possibly replacing them often.

I loved these shoes for trail running, what they were designed for. Based off of other reviews, I purchased them for OCRs. They gave incredible control on the loose rocks of Lake Tahoe race and when doing down hill, however, the inside sole of my shoe on the right was completely gone after the race from the rope. Just burned right off. Didn't even last one race. I have other brand of shoes that this is not a problem. And I have a rope in my backyard, so I do ropes often, and other shoes have made it through. They also have a very narrow toe box. Thankfully, I have very skinny toes, but after running in shoes with a wide toe box, that I thought wasn't needed, I found it is much needed after all. They did great draining water after going through the mud. Can't say I would buy them again, as most of my shoes I buy are for OCRs. Shoes also got caught in the cargo nets when climbing due to the high tread, however, with being more careful, this wasn't too much of an issue. Just had to place foot with more thought. And that's just a couple obstacles.

This shoe is very form fitting, and it fits great for casual wear but after miles of trail running, it feels too tight, sadly, I am outside of the 30 day window I would love to exchange for a 9.5!

I really wanted to like these, and I did like a lot about them... excellent lugs on the soles for grip and traction, minimalist design for flexibility. However, the upper was strangely "gappy" and wrinkly on the top portion and I didn't feel it would wear or hold up well. Sadly sending them back...

I really wanted to like these shoes...I love to run OCR's and love HOKA so when the EVO came out I was so excited thinking these would be the prefect trail shoe for OCR racing.... lightweight with good lugs on the soles.... only problem is the shoes get wet....if you do any type of serious trail running your feet are going to get wet.... and when they do in these shoes the BLUE bleeds through to your socks and to your feet.... the first time I wore them they ruined a very good pair of running socks dying them from white to BLUE..... so I figured okay maybe just because they were new... the dye needed to wear out a little.... so the second time I ran in them I wore an older pair of socks - one that I wouldn't really care if they changed color.... this time not only did my socks change color... .but so did my feet...my toenails and callouses especially turned a vivid to dark shade of blue... combined with the dirt that seeped through along the trail my feet looked horrific -all black and blue..... Aside from the blue dye issue .... I did seem to have a lot of movement inside the shoe even when laced tightly.... One good note.... I got in a quagmire of a swamp with mud suctioned around my feet so tight the only way I could extricate myself was by pointing my toe as hard as possible to pull my feet out... the EVO's stayed on my feet! I really wanted to love these shoes.... I just can't .... I love Blue Suede Shoes....I hate Blue Suede Toes! They have to go back.....

I bought these Evo Jawz for a specific hike on Kauai. They were a great fit, but by the end of the 18 hr hike I had holes in the toes. I think I needed a hike shoe that had a rubber toe.

Toe box is super wide but not long enough. Strange fit. Material on top of toes is loose and noisy. Bummer. All my other hokas fit great.

Very weird material that bunched when I walked in house - had to return them. The tread is what I really wanted but the speedboat cushion and material

I have purchased white and black HOKAS in the past. This model doesn't meet the HOKA standard. I returned them for a refund.

This is the worst Hoka shoe I've tried. I thought this might be a great, lightweight trail runner for me, since I mostly run shorter (5-10K) distances. I'm light, at 105 lbs, so I don't need an overly burly shoe, but I do need some support due to foot issues. This shoe has no support at all. I could literally fold the shoe in half. Just walking across the floor caused the arch area to collapse. The fabric was quite unusual and made a crackling sound with each step. If you are the type that could run barefoot, then these would probably work.

These shoes felt and performed amazing, however after three hikes a hole big enough to put my finger through appeared where the top of the shoe meets the hard rubber end. I returned them and got a new pair...same thing after one hike. I really hope Hoka fixes this because it is otherwise a fantastic shoe! I wish it had worked out.
