I bought this to replace my old Timberland jacket/coat that I have loved for years. I simply out grew the other coat, so hence my purchase. I felt I would be satisfied with another Timberland product. This coat is fairly comfortable, warm enough in medium cold climates and layers well. But the thing that bothers me to no end is the color ( black ) shows every speck of dust and dirt and the material apparently is a magnet to all dust, debris, etc.... I can wear the coat from my house to work and when I remove it it loos like I have rolled around in a lint bowl. You can not keep it looking clean no matter how hard you try. My other pet peeve is that although the front velcro closures along the zipper may seem like a good idea, they catch and snag on virtually everything, especially if you choose to wear a scarf. As functional as this coat tries to be, the shell material, color and the velcro closures have made it an only wear if absolutely necessary item for me.

It's made to be a big coat. Even over a smaller jacket. Warm tho. Hand pockets are warm/soft material. Only one inside pocket. Needs more pockets, like one big enough for a tablet. That's how big the coat is. RealGoodCoat that should last.

Nice rain/snow coat...sadly I didn't listen to other commentators and bought a Large which fits way too big compared to other jackets I've ordered in the same size...now no mediums are in stock so I need to return...additionally they should make this coat with a removable inner fleece liner for extra warmth for colder days since the insulation isn't good for temps below 30 degrees...I would have given 5stars but it lost one for the poor fitting size disparity/unavailability and one for the insulation being just ok :(

I own a really good, and really expensive all world, all weather coat. I've never gotten comfortable wearing it out though, just because it's so dang expensive that my biggest fear is I walk by something and then hear a tear and it be my jacket. Tired of living that way, I set out to get a 2nd jacket, and wanted this one to be black with as many features of my current coat as I could find. I recently donated to charity one of my old Timberland jackets that was too big and I wasn't wearing it. It was good to me when I used it though, so I decided to shop Timberland to see what was new. That's when I came across this. I'm super gassed about it. First of all, the other reviews were right. I'm 6'1" and around 220. I usually wear XL in everything. On top of that, I wear layers in weather, so I need a little more room in my coats. But the Large is plenty. I'm able to wear my long sleeved shirts with a sweater or fleece on under it and this jacket works just fine. It's rugged, yet handsome, just like me. :) You can dress it up or dress it down. Fit's my style perfectly. I put it to work in this unusually deep cold we're having in the mid-Atlantic region this year and it held up amazing. I really, really love this jacket. With shipping, I got it for about $115. Can't beat that. I could go on and on about the features, but the truth of it is I've already gone on too much. Even if you don't need a coat man, this one is worth getting, especially if you can get it at a great price. It's got fantastic amenities, pockets and all that. I'm not securing the Arctic bag, but for this region and the occasional jaunts I make to the Midwest, this should do well. If they sell gloves that match or are of this same material, I'll be getting those too. It's a superb weather jacket no matter how you slice it.

Usually buy xl but got the large and fits perfect. Still plenty of room. Very well made and warm without being too bulky. I highly recommend.

Bought it for when I need to take break outside in the winter. Jacket it warm and definitely keeps the winter wind out.

I bought this jacket to put my cert patches on as I work in the field. Jacket was a little big and heavier than I was looking for but the quality was great. Just buy a size smaller than you usually wear.

Jacket seems warm and would be useful in cold weather but runs very large. I ordered XL but it fits like a XXL.

Coat was really warm and good on jobsite. Zipper snagged and broke off. Zipper line is torn, cannot be repaired and new coat is really not any use to me. Coat shell is good but would not buy due to cheap zipper.

Too Big for Large, kind of want to return it. But got it on sale, probably will use it as cold rainy day as it states waterproof. But because of the size will not wear it as a normal jacket.
