I've been wearing Asics for years- was pretty disappointed when I got these. They definitely run small... I have religiously worn size 8.5 in Asics and when I got them they were very tight. Also, the back part of the heel was extremely stiff. I get you have to break them in a little, but that was beyond "normal" stiffness- I'm positive I would have gotten blisters from wearing them. Definitely a bummer.

My last Asics was a Flux 3. I have to agree with other reviewers that the Flux 5 feels stiffer right out of the box and is definitely tighter and shorter in the toe box. They still work so I will keep them, but I'm concerned about what Asics is doing. Asics has been my go-to brand for 16 years.

As other reviewers have stated, these shoes run small. I ordered these to update some Flux3’s and they are more narrow in theforefoot. I ordered a 71/2 wide in both. The new ones still are comfy, though, and do not bother my bunions. The toe box is all mesh so it is not harsh on a bunion. I get a wide to accomodate bunions so these more narrow wides were not a problem. If you have a truely wide foot, you may want to size up or consider another style. The cushioning is very good, BTW. I use these for cardio classes and walking.

This style definitely runs small. I have worn Asics for years and have never had a problem with fit until this pair. I even ordered wide width for more toe room it they are tight. Will be returning.

if this is suppose to be better than the fluz 4, well it really isn't. I loved the 4...the flux 5 is giving me leg pain in the left leg. feels like i have a pulled tendon...i have done nothing different than get new sneakers....will be looking for a new pair of flux 4's on amazon as they are no longer available on here.......

I usually wear an 8.5 in Asics and sizing was right. The toe box gives enough room for comfort but not enough that my foot feels like it's swimming in the shoe. I've owned a previous Gel-Flux and the insole feels firmer than my older ones when they were new. Overall, I would definitely buy them again.

Nice look. Asics comfort. Runs short. Even with a wide the length is short.

I hope Zappos allows me to remain as a customer. This is the second time that I have ordered several Asics, only to have to return them. I have worn this brand for years, but the sizing seems to have changed. I'm trying one more time, with a wide width. If that doesn't work, I'll have to look for another brand.

I've worn an earlier version of the Asics Gel-Flux, and that was okay for me. However, this version is too tight in the toe box, even in a wide width (and I usually wear a medium width in athletic shoes). I'm disappointed that Asics now seems to be making some of their shoes with a narrower toe box than they did 5 or more years ago!

Very attractive. Ran 1/2 size short, toe box narrow, and stiff which may have changed with wear. My foot felt stuffed into the shoe. The narrow heal was nice. Also returning Asics Lunar Glide 9 for similar reasons.

Sad but am returning these. Pretty shoe and color, but didn't offer the padding or support I need. Toe box was pretty narrow for a "wide" shoe.

The wide size of this model felt like a narrow, smaller-sized shoe. I always wear size 8 wide in all Asics sneakers. This model was so tight. Length was ok but it was narrower than even regular width Asics sneakers. Very disappointing.

Not as comfortable as previous Asics I have worn. Stiffer. Didn’t care for plastic-looking template around laces & down sides. Not as easy to loosen or tighten laces. Wish they would have used a higher density material for mid-sole (white area).

I was suffering from sciatica. These sneakers eliminated it. They are so the cushion on my step was so good that the pain was eased. I fully recommend this sneaker for anyone needing a softer step.

This is the only brand of gym shoes I buy & this pair is perfect not to mention half price. And of course free one day shipping! Love Zappos!
