Really, really nice. These seem seriously well made. A bit more than what I'd set out to spend, but for the most part in life you really do get what you pay for. After two failed attempts with a similarly styled item from a different brand (9 seemed too big and 8.5 seemed too small) -- and each felt too short inside, like not enough height (?) in there across the top of my foot -- I decided to go with these based on the quality I recall from a few other RL/Polo products I've had. And Zappos was great with repeated back-and-forth on my behalf. Always good. These felt just right as soon as I them on. Perfect fit, comfy. Wore them to work the next day... my assessment stands. Also, late that afternoon, randomly, I stopped into a shoe-repair joint, looking for a pair of laces for something else. Asked the guy if these could be re-soled (always thinking ahead, and I'm still not sure I get the woven-jute-infused rubber soles, but no matter) and he said that would be no big deal. So that's a plus, because some shoes these days have soles that deliberately preclude that. Yet another form of planned obsolescence, of course. I don't think you can go wrong with these. "Made in China" per the sticker on the box... but proof that not everything made in China is junk. You just need to be careful and choose wisely.

This bot has a work boot look that can also be used as a business casual boot. I wear this boot in a business casual work environment as well as on the weekends with jeans. Very well made leather boot.

Overall a very nice looking boot, excellent quality. Soft leather appearance with hard leather wear.
