These unfortunately were not going to withstand my very wide feet. I generally wear a 7 1/2 wide, but these were too narrow and didn’t have a good fit for my feet. I went with the Ghosts!

I have worn Brooks Ravenna shoes since they were originally made. I have had Ravenna 2-8 and recently purchased the 9. It looks and feels cheap. Their trademark "swoosh" is basically spray painted on. The fabric seems thin. There isn't any support. I put one of these on along with an old and worn out Ravenna 7 on the other foot. Honestly, the old Ravenna 7 fit better and provided more support. I am returning these shoes. By the way, I notice there is no Ravenna 10 right now-not sure what Brooks plans are for this line.

I’ve had mine for 2 months and they’re already worn out from work. My legs hurt a lot after work. The material started fraying 2 weeks after I bought them. There’s now a hole in the material by my ankle. Now, I walk 17,000 steps a day on average as a nurse. I still think they are horrible shoes for such a good brand and high price. Oh and don’t wear them near water. They’ll stain.

DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES!! I went for the first time to a specialty running store to be fitted for shoes after a gait analysis. I have a medium-high arch and was told I do not tend to pronation or suppination.
The customer service associate insisted that because I both run and lift weights, that I needed a combo "stability" shoe (supposedly, the Brooks Ravenna 9 is listed for "stability"). This shoe is the opposite of stability.
If you'll look at the breathable top mesh upper, and look at the inner part of the shoe, you'll see that the mesh bows towards the midline of the body, with absolutely no rubber sole underneath to support that inner sole of the foot, leading to inherent rolling.
It has been more than 22 years since I've sprained my ankle as a young teen (which only happened once, and I've never broken any bones). In these shoes, I've fallen on the treadmill for the first time in my life, banging up my knees badly (lucky it wasn't more then due to the stop), but then subsequently when walking weeks later, sprained my left ankle twice just walking in these shoes, a grade 3 ankle sprain which took more than 3 weeks to recover from each time. On the right side, I then sprained the ankle on the right (not as serious because I was even more hyper conscious than normal about foot placement). Yes, it took me this long to realize it wasn't me, it was the shoes. I'm afraid to run in these shoes, much less wear them for walking now, and have contacted Brooks for a return or refund. These are my first Brooks shoes. I thought I was upgrading from the Skechers I had previously.
It doesn't matter what kind of foot you have, if the mesh bows inward at the inner foot with nothing to support it, and then a high support where there IS a sole, one is setting one's self up for injury and it's an accident waiting to happen.
Design matters.
I'd also recommend:

I am so unhappy with the changes in Brooks athletic shoes. My Ravennas from years ago were great. Now these Ravenna were so narrow (I bought the wide) that I could hardly stuff my feet into them. So sad.
The Addiction A12 were fabulous. But the recent Addiction are just not the same. They are shorter, not as wide, and the shoe is not as deep. I have to wear a custom orthotic so the depth is important. I can just manage with the newer Addiction models, but I am not a happy camper.
Please Brooks, go back to your older designs.

I have been wearing the Ravenna model for years and Brooks changed every part of this shoe. It is narrower, less padding near the metatarsal area, and not enough support for neuroma pain. There is virtually no arch support either. The material on the top is stretchy and unsupported as well.
