This review is for the Brooks Anthem. I have a couple of pairs of Brooks already that I love and decided to buy an extra pair. This pair was only about 70 dollars, and they were Brooks so I bought them. Well let me just say, you get what you pay for. These fit me nice like the others but the comfort level was not nearly as comfortable as the others. I went on my two mile walk with these and my feet were killing me. Not like the Brooks I know. So if you want these, they are good for running errands but def not for long walks or runs.

Great walking shoe for mild over pronators like me. It's a little stiff at first, but great at making my feet behave on long walks. nice arch support. just right

I was a Brooks convert with the PureConnect shoe, and when they discontinued it I was very distraught. While this isn't an exact replacement, it's pretty close! Ample cushion, low drop, and lightweight.

Fit very similarly to other Brooks Pure Cadence or Pure Connect shoes.

I freaking LOVE these shoes. My first experience with Brooks was the first iteration of the PureFlows and I fell in love. Then they kept changing them and changing them. These shoes are very reminiscent of the original PureFlows and I’m going to have to order several pair in case they stop making them, or change the design entirely. They’re great out of the box and will only get more comfortable as I get a few more runs in them. ????

This is a great shoe for a moderate overpronator like me. Not only is the neutral stability technology and moderate arch support just what I've been needing, but the 4 mm height difference between heel and toe is as close to the ground I can get without actually wearing the minimalist shoes I so love but cause me hip pain due to overprinting. I'm back to walking 5-mile morning walks without hip pain. The neutral stability sole technology a 4 mm height differential are just what I need to help me walk a healthy pace again.

Finally, a comfortable pair of sneakers! I often have trouble with ankle rubbing, but these sneakers are cut low around the ankle - no rubbing! There has been a little rubbing at the back, but I think that's more a function of my socks than the shoes. They offer enough support for my needs, though I am wearing them for walking, not running. The only weird thing is that the sole is split between the big toe and the other toes. Good for comfort, but looks a little strange if you look at the shoe straight on. Doesn't bother me, but just something to note. Overall, highly recommend!

Reminds me of my old Pure Connects, only more cushioning. Three miles out of the box and was amazed at the spring in my stride. For the price, these can't be beat. (Midfoot almost toe striker.) Had to go up half a size.

I am replacing a six year old pair of Brooks PureConnect running shoes that have been great for me! They’re a minimalist-type shoe that makes my foot look smaller/narrower than it actually is, without sacrificing comfort or style. These were as close as I (thought) I could find. They are made very similarly to the PureConnect except for one major flaw, what I’m calling the “pancake sole”. The shoe itself is fine, although I wasn’t crazy about the all primer gray fabric. When you look straight down, however, it’s like the sole of the shoe melted out. I’m not sure why they’re like that (maybe for more stability?), but I didn’t realize that’s how they looked from the photos. Had the sole been a dark gray to match the fabric of the shoe, I don’t think it would have been as obvious, but the white makes it hard to miss. I ended up buying the PureCadence 7 shoe, and it’s feels exactly like the fit of my old PureConnects. So, overall, not bad a shoe IF you can get over the pancake sole!

The fit is snug, so my foot doesn't feel sloppy inside. The shoe does feel heavier than what I typically purchase, and if I was to use a shoe for running, I personally would not choose this one due to the heaviness of it. I use it for walking/stability and am happy with the choice. To be honest, part of my decision making was based on price, because I will spend money on a running shoe, but not so much for walking, as I am walking my dogs and therefore not really putting a great deal of stress on my body or the shoe. These will last me a while I believe, using them at least 5 times a week for 2.5 miles. I would recommend them to a person looking for stability, and the style is nice - conservative but cool.

Had to return these as they are way too small. My toes were running into the end, despite ordering my regular size in Brooks shoes. I can’t tell you if they are comfortable or not because of the size issue.

I won't buy any different brand shoes other than Brooks. They're always been comfortable and very well supportive. I have bought four different Brooks shoes so far love them all!

I usually wear an eight and a half but in Brooks I always by size 9. I work in a hospital and since I found Brooks I haven't bought a different brand sense! I even stopped buying inserts because their shoes are so well-made I don't need them anymore ?

Shoe fits great! Comfortable and will be great addition to the gym. I like to bike ride and the soles of these shoes are too large to fit in the straps on the pedals. Thus, this shoe will be used for walking & running. Great shoe.

I normally wear a size nine and that is what I first ordered ! I found that my big toe on both feet felt uncomfortable right away. One review had suggested going up a 1/2 so I ordered the 9 1/2 and they were perfect! Love these shoes !

My normal running shoe size is 9.5 but as always (nearly), I wear a 9 in Brooks and this one is no different. I really liked this shoe - it felt good: low differential, rounded heel and smooth rounded motion.

Bought these for my wife, she hates how they look but loves how they feel!

It was the perfect fit, especially for someone with wider flat feet. It feels like walking on air and super light

Haven’t walked in them much, but the 1st impression is very good. Good fit and very comfortable.
