Finally after 3 different shoes, I found the right one. I started w/ the b.o.c. Peggy-too big in the heel. Then got the Born Toby II-also too big in the heel and the sole was slick plastic. Then I got the Toby Duo in an 8.5 which was too big. Finally tried my normal size which is 8, and these are great! They are snug this morning across the top of my foot, but I know the Born leather will relax soon. These are snug on my heels, which is important because I do have a narrow, skinny foot all around. The soles are rubber and not polyurethane, so they are quiet in the school hallways, and they grip the floor. I think the cushioning inside the shoe is fabulous, just like all the other Born shoes I've owned. Thanks to Zappos and their quick shipping for getting me 4 pair of shoes in a matter of days. It took me a while to find the right pair, so I also appreciate Zappos return policy. You guys are great!

The bad: 1. The shoe is very long, I don't mind this so much, as feet are supposed to slide in the back of a clog, and it feels good to me, but it does look odd. 2. The rise is too steep, 3. Narrow. I don't mind it, but if you have wide feet these won't work for you. The good: 1. good arch support, 2. soft leather It's the rise that's got me thinking I'm going to return them. I fully understand that many clogs aren't really clogs anymore (cushy, flexible footbed, mainly), but the things I like best about clogs are the thick sole and low rise. These have the thick sole, but it puts my body in a position that is not at all as a clog ought to do. Clogs should be excellent for the foot and back, and make you stand straight, aligned, and comfortable. The 2" heel // 3/4" platform combination doesn't allow for that. It feels more like a shoe with a moderate heel than a flat shoe with 2" heel and thick sole. I don't recommend these shoes.

It is so nice to have a pair of “clogs” that look good on a small foot. I am 64 years old and as I have thinner feet now, the older style clogs I wore were too chunky. These are just right!

Rarely is a clog comfortable out of the box for me, but this shoe was. I wore it to a short shift at work, on my feet and walking for four hours, and they felt like I'd had them for months. The instep dips down to help hold the clog on my foot, with ample toe room. The cushioned contoured sole supported my feet. Very pleased with this shoe and with the excellent price--to say nothing of Zappos' usual exemplary fast service.

I have several pairs of Born shoes (about the only brand I can wear). I ordered a 7.5 with confidence as I always wear that size. These felt about 1/2 a size too big even with thicker socks on. I have a feeling that if I go down a size they may be snug. It is too bad as I liked the look and they felt so comfortable.

They are great, comfortable shoes. But they run very large. I ordered my regular size of 10, returned them for a 9-1/2 and returned them again for a 9. I love Born shoes and I love Zappos' quick shipping and free returns!

I love these, they are very comfortable. The insole is cushioned and the outer leather is soft. I found them to be true to size.

Oh my gosh, these shoes are fantastic! They give your feet plenty of support and cushioning but feel like a comfy pair of slippers. The fit is perfect (my foot is size 9 and a little wide). There's enough room in the toe box to give your toes wiggle room but not so much that your feet slip around. I bought them in natural/distressed leather. They look great with pants and also work fine with capris. The black soles look particularly snappy with black pants. These are now officially the most comfortable shoes I own. I'll be wearing them a lot.

The shoes fit and I decided to keep them, but they are not really as comfortable as the older version I've had for years, and I attribute that to the way the back of the shoe is made. In the old version (which I still have) there is a small rolled leather cuff inside the upper heel of the shoe which keeps the shoe frorm slipping. The new version has a smooth upper heel interior and hence slips off my foot. If I wear thick socks, it helps but I am thinking of trying those heel guards that are sold at the drugstore and are said to help with this problem. I like Born but I wish it paid more attention to some of the details it used to observe in making this type of shoe.

Bought black and brown same size. Brown was tighter on the top of the foot. Will try to get them stretched out - expect they will be terrific just like my old ones they replaced.

I wish these had a little more platform and cushion at the ball of the foot. They are decent but I won't be wearing them when I need to be on my feet for a long time. Also they smell like mildew so that is a major detractor for me.

my feet are starting to hurt in dress shoes, so I bought these to wear to work. I am a size 11 with flat feet. The leather and color are nice enough that they don't immediately look like clogs when paired with business casual clothes, and man are they comfortable. So comfortable that I don't care anymore that I am wearing clogs, and bought a second pair in black. Heel height is perfect for my dress pants that are meant to be worn with 1.5-2 inch heels.

The shoes were the exact right length, but they were really uncomfortable (tight) combined with a trouser sock. I spoke to Born about their stretch/give but based on the sock info, they recommended going up a half-size. Still gave high marks for comfort, because length, padding, arch, etc alll great.

What a shame. I have worn this style before but the new version was so tight i was in pain. There is no way these will stretch out enough to be comfortable - they are cutting off my circulation. Don't know why they would have changed the size. The issue is the instep width so i'm not sure a larger size will help. Same old nice soft leather as before and same general look and design. Just badly sized.

This is my third pair of Borne's. I needed them to be able to walk hospital hallways all day in comfort while looking professional. These are perfect. I normally wear a 10 in closed toe shoes/boots, however when i received the 10 it was far to large. I had never returned anything to Zappos fearing the process, but it was so easy. The representative I spoke to walked me through the exceptionally easy (and free) process. They shipped me 9.5 immediately and I had them a day later. they fit well, maybe even could have gone a half size smaller, but I like a little room for my toes to wiggle. The wide toe box is very comfortable, ensuring your feet aren't malformed while on them all day. The shoes are great, the Zappos Service was amazing. I'm going to be getting all my shoes from Zappos at this point.

This is a wonderful shoe but it runs SMALL! I haven't worn a 9 1/2 in years as I'm normally a 10 or 11, but I had to return the size 10 I had ordered for a size 9 1/2 and it fits well.

I actually love the shoes, but the length seems short. The second toe of on my feet is longer than my big toe and it rubs against the inside of the shoe. I am going to try them in a half size up.

As a registered nurse I wear these while working. I have tried many different brands and am now on my third pair of these. They are nice looking and very comfortable.

Good shoes .. I have been trying others brands try to get something different from what I've worn for years now ( some good.still some to try ) but have come back to Born ..look good , all around good shoe ..worth the money! Thank you Zappos for great cust. service and Born for staying good ..and consistent with size and fit..

Extremely handsome shoe. High quality materials and workmanship. It does have a cushioned insole but wish it had more. That would make it five star comfort.

Love these shoes! I wear a 9.5N and find it very hard to find shoes that are comfortable and narrow enough. These are perfect, not too hard or soft outer leather. I’ve worn them everyday for two weeks all day shopping, cleaning, and walking. They still look and feel great, apparently, they don’t scuff easy. I would compare them to Dansko clogs, Born’s are a bit longer and narrower . I recommend them to a friend

I am hoping these will stretch. this style always used to fit like a glove but this pair feels tight around the instep. It is a shame b/c the leather is beautiful and easy on the toes and the style is not too Mrs. Doubtfire to still wear to the office.

Too narrow. I don't have wide feet so was so disappointed that these were too narrow. If you are going from Danskos to these be prepared that they are much more snug of a fit. Style is cute. Bummed that I have to return them.

Very unhappy I purchased this style of shoe. I purchased these shoes after reading reviews especially due to the positive roomy toe box. I have bought and tried three different comfort insoles to improve comfort level in these shoes to no avail. I also bought heel liners to keep my heel from frequently slipping while walking. Don't plan on buying a Born shoe again.

Good everyday shoes, comfortable if you need to stand on your feet for a long time.
