Was skeptical about these b/c of the price point but I love them. Ordered true to size and broke in 90% within one day. I did swap out insoles with provided comfort insoles for a little more cushion. I have very high arches and there is not much (any) support, but I will say they are still comfortable and great to trudge around the mud in!

I. LOVE. THESE. BOOTS. I have barely taken them off since getting them. I would sleep in then if I could!! I live in New Orleans and walk around a lot and it’s like walking on a dream in these uneven, holy, gravely, sometimes wet, sometimes nasty streets. I could not be happier!! In fact I’m our walking now while writing this review :)

Fit is true to size. Stick to the size chart because it’s accurate. They look and feel very sturdy and they are super comfy. A bit rigid to try on the first time but they loosen up quickly. Maybe one thing i can see happening is that they might not let your feet breath well if you wearing it for a long time but if you use they right socks it might be ok. I just love them!

I am obsessed! I spent a lot of time deciding on size and color and gosh I am so thrilled. I went with a women’s 9.5 (I wear this size in Blondo boots and also my running shoes). I’m so glad I chose this size (good toe box room, easy to put on, etc). This color is like a stormy grey weathered type color and it’s beautiful y’all! Can’t wait to wear on the daily!

Boots were great! Sadly they didn't fit. I think they run a half size big. Zappos was on it though with a quick exchange. Can't go wrong with Zappos.

I love these boots. The style is exactly right for my needs. However, sizing was a major issue. I am a size 9 to 9.5 and ordered the 6.5. Those were too short. So, I ordered a 7. The left foot fits perfectly, but the right is way wider! I tried ordering a second pair in 7, but both of those were the "wider" version. I am keeping the first size 7 because I love them so much. I wish they would get the sizing figured out because I want and love these boots. But, the cost is such, I should be able to get exactly what I want. I am already wearing them in thick wool sox. I am still wondering if I should have stayed with the smaller/first pair and hoped for them to break in... I wanted a boot to fit my rural eastern Oregon lifestyle, cold, wet sometimes, town and woods walking and hiking. I am sure these boots are the ones. Just wish the sizing were more consistent. Abysmal quality control - boots are covered with very visible creases on. Color is brown, not grey. This is the second pair that have had the same issue.

After debating between the AU 8 and 8.5, I decided to go with 8.5 since the half size is for width only. After standing in the 8s for a minute, I felt pressure on the sizes of my foot. If you have a wide foot, bunions, etc. and plan to wear thicker socks go with the half size up and you can use the provided inserts to help fill space if needed. I don’t like messing with counting on boots to stretch or feel more comfortable. I ordered the half size up and they feel more comfortable. I usually wear women’s 10.5 in boots and need a wider toe box. These look a little big and clunky but seem worth it for cold weather. I went to Massachusetts this fall and pretty much everyone was wearing these.

Loved this color as it’s neutral and will go with many things but I would not describe it as steel gray. It’s more brownish than gray in my opinion. I’m usually an 8 or 8 1/2 in shoes, I got this in an 8 and probably could’ve gone down 1/2 size but I will keep the 8 and wear thicker socks and/or put in a thicker insole as they sell Sherpa insoles for these for winter! Plenty of room all around goes, perfectly snug elsewhere so they stay in place.

These boots are fantastic! Just what I was looking for. I love them. Worth every penny! I’ve been wearing them everyday. Comfortable right out of the box!

I’m pleasantly surprised at how perfect these boots are. After reading tons of reviews I was fully prepared to have to exchange a few times to find the right size but they are exactly true to size. People also complained that they are hard to get on and off however in my experience it’s no different than any other Chelsea boot.

Perfect color. I knew they would look darker and slightly more brown than what is shown here. And that’s actually what I was hoping for based on my research. I am usually a 7.5 in US sneakers but I tried that size first and it was too tight the length way. So I got a size 8 US. Perfect. I have super wide feet and these are absolutely perfect for that. No problems there! And with the pull tabs they slip on easily. No brained to buy this well made shoe that goes with absolutely everything. It’s the perfect neutral color. Goes with everything! Not too brown not too grey not too dark, not too light! I love them.

The color is not even close to gray/taupe. It is very brown. Not as pictured!

I love Blundstone 550 boots for their design, material, and style. That said, the “volume” of my size 8.5 boots always exceeds the “volume” of my foot. To correct this, I add extra footbeds—sometimes from other Blundstones, sometimes from Keen shoes/boots which have excellent footbeds.

Have not stopped getting compliments on the look! So far comfy for long distance walking but have to wear taller socks because it rubs the leg a bit. I never invest in shoes but am so glad I did on these, I walk about 5-6 miles a day and my feet feel so good in these boots!!

I chose to order a 1/2 size up so I could wear thick smart wool socks and boy am I glad I did! These shoes are super comfy and seem to not need a long break in time. They are a bit snug to take on/off..hoping that gets easier over time. I live in the Pacific Northwest and am happy to have some stylish all weather shoes. The "silver" is more of a dark grey taupe color...still love them.

These are so comfortable! This is my second pair. I have wide feet and these are unisex so if you have narrow or even regular width feet, they might feel too wide.

great boots, not much to complain about. one thing I’ve noticed over the years with Zappos though, is that the pictures of the product do not accurately represent the true color of the item. it’s always slightly off. I’ve learned to go google the product from another site to get an idea of the true color. e.g. I bought the grey color, and the Zappos pictures shows a lifter grey that they actually are. I was hoping for the slightly lighter grey, but the actual color is a darker charcoal grey.

It took me a couple of tries to find the right size. I wear women’s 10.5 in boots and I need a wider toe box. I ordered the AU 7.5 which fits more like a women’s 10. It was fine but a little tight with thicker socks. I read that the .5 sizes actually aren’t longer, just wider, so next I ordered an AU 8.5. These are a little looser, so I put the extra insoles in that the boots come with, but they fit better with thicker socks and seem slightly easier to get on and off. My toes won’t hit the front of the boot when going downhill. I haven’t yet trekked long distance in them, but I don’t think heel rub will be an issue with the bigger size. Either would work but I think going up a size was probably a good idea since I will be wearing these with thicker socks in cooler weather. Thankfully Zappos has free returns. Look at the Blundstone website for more info on the sizing since it can be confusing. I knocked off a star because it would be nice if the boots came with an insert to help keep their shape. I received mine and one of the boots had some wrinkles from being smashed together in the box. It’s not that noticeable but for such expensive boots they should have more care in the packaging.

Loving my boots! I definitely recommend looking at the Blundstone website and measuring your foot to get the right size. I first ordered my normal size and could barely get my foot in even switching to the thinner sole. I do understand they’re leather so they would stretch but I don’t prefer my shoes to be that tight. I ended up getting a whole size larger and they’re great. I love the color of these but they’re definitely darker than the picture depicts. Overall very happy with my purchase and excited to adventure in my new boots!

I am a 9.5 women's. These boots are just too short. I am so tempted to keep them and try to get them to fit better - I like the width, but I expect they won't become more comfortable.

I ordered a steel gray color - and the boot is brown. I have attached a photo of the boot with one of my gray socks.
