This is a wide-flat boot on the inside. It is perfect for what I want. I want my toes to barely touch the sides and not be constricted in any way, they should be able to naturally spread and do the job of a foot as nature made them. The included liners are thin memory foam, again - what I like. I'm not buying work boots to carry me around, if you've crippled your feet strapping them up like a geisha, maybe these won't work for you, I don't know what's required for the chair-bound work boot wearers who don't actually walk all day. These feel protective of my feet top and bottom. I don't want "support" and I don't want anything other than LIGHTWEIGHT protection for my feet so I can move naturally. I'm normally a 13 - 4E and I returned the 13 4E because trying these on barefoot, my toes touched the end. I got the 14 4E and it's perfect - if I needed a big sock for winter I could feel comfortable and not cramped, and in the summer I can go barefoot in these with some cheap carbon insoles and again - perfect. They don't feel heavy even though they look HUGE. Great comfortable fit, my feet can do what they are supposed to without having to work around my boots. My use: outdoor farm and construction projects, 8-10 hours on feet. 6'3 and 280lbs. I really appreciate that Zappos had my size, the mfgr website sold out a while ago and I haven't seen them since. I'm a Zappos customer for life after their service and return policies making sure we get the right shoes.

Not a "pretty" shoe but VERY VERY comfortable. Like walking on air. ALL day comfort. Needs to be broken a bit as they may be a little snug with the composite toe. My only gripe is the ankle tops start to fray after the first or second wearing! I'm stunned! It looks like there is white fur on the top of my boots! NB needs a quick fix for this. Please advise me. I love the shoe, even though it gets a 3 on style points and the furry tops.

Perect fit as always with New Balance! I can wear these on my 12 hour days and not have any foot fatigue EVER!! Great price and delivery from ZAPPOS!

Awesome. I have wide feet and my other work shoes gave me blisters but these boats are comfortable and easy to break in. Highly recommend them. Also make sure to get a size bigger just so the hard toe doesn’t rub against your feet.

The work boot is good looking. Fit was a little salty on my toes for some reason. My thinking was not enough room for my toes, especially when I needed to substitute the insole for another. Nothing worked for me. For most people this would work fine. I have never worn a high top and since I weigh over 300 lbs it became an issue with non-supportive insole and walking on cement.

Excellent comfort and support. I did have go up a half size for a little more toe room, but overall, great shoes!

This boot has never kept water out since day one. Even with additional waterproofing efforts after the first few wet socks... water finds its way in. I am very disappointed in NewBalance on this one... :( Really think more time should be given to make sure every seam is water tight and the glue is set in such a way to ensure no water penetration. :( :(

I selected 1/2 size up from my usual size in NB (8 1/2, 4E) to compensate for thick socks. Excellent fit and arch support.

My husband uses these for work. After breaking them in, they work great. There has been no complaints from him.

I purchased a lot of New Balance shoes and this pair felt a little narrower than normal after wearing it while working .

Best pair of work boots I've ever had. Got a solid pair of insoles, and they've lasted over a year. 5'10 300+. I'm very destructive on boots and these have held together amazingly.
