These boots were terrific! I wanted to use them for cold mornings as a sort of tall slipper, and they are perfect. I tried Uggs and wasn't sure I couldn't find something equivalent but less expensive. Someone recommended these on Zappos and they are as promised--equal or better than Uggs. Size and fit are perfect--I'm a 7 1/2 and as they come in full sizes, the 8 fit with just the right amount of room for a sock.

I'm loving these boots! I normally wear sz 8 M. My feet borderline on Narrow. The other reviews said 'runs large', 'runs small', so I ordered a size up because I cannot stand my shoes to be near my toes. I also order gym shoes a size larger. These are perfect! I have normal room in toe box with or without socks (thin socks but I don't really need socks). The inside has a comfortable and warm fleece which cushions my feet. I gave a 4 out of 5 for style because they are a little clunky but they Are waterproof and warm and serve a different purpose (not dress). I compared them to my daughters uggs and they are basically the same . I would definitely recommend these boots. So comfy!

This is my third pair of Bear Paw boots. I like the tread they now have. Not sure when they changed but definitely will have more traction for Iowa snow. Last year I bought Uggs dirt cheap but was still not impressed for the retail $$. Bear Paws do not disappoint! I do waterproof mine before wearing.

I normally wear an 8 or 8 1/2 shoe, but from the other comments, I ordered a size 9. They're perfect with or without socks. I love them & I know they'll keep my feet nice & warm & comfortable this winter.

I'm a 7 1/2 shoe size, but I get an 8 in the boot and it's always fine. Never feels overly sloppy or loose. I'm a big Bearpaw fan and find them warm and, they wear well.

Bought these to compare with Uggs Classic Short II in a similar color but $65 more. I had really hoped to keep these due to the considerably better price, however, when I looked at them and when I stepped inside, I could immediately tell where Bearpaw had cut costs. First, I wasn't a fan of the matching sole and boot color, but I was willing to overlook that for the savings. Seeing them in person didn't help how I felt about the monochrome look. The trim of the soles (on both boots) already looked like it had been scuffed (aka the color was somewhat rubbed off and inconsistent) along much of the boot's edge (not something I had set out to examine, which tells you that they were truly noticeably inconsistent). Now, I'll give this to Bearpaw, the fur on the inside is *much* softer than Uggs (which are already also deliciously soft and is the only reason why I would buy such plainly ugly shoes). Bearpaw's fur is just plain softer, and for that reason, more than even the cheaper price, I wish that the Bearpaws had worked out for me. Moving on. The Bearpaws are very narrow. I guess I have a normal width foot since I have always bought regular width shoes, but these Bearpaws were uncomfortably narrow on my foot. I don't think this is a problem across all Bearpaws because a LONG time ago I bought a wonderful pair of black furry Bearpaw boots that did not have this problem (they were the kind with the cute tortoise shell side accent). Moving on...the part of the boot that houses the toes is stiff and feels kind of like it is made of cardboard. Combine that with the narrowness and these boots are simply uncomfortable. Additionally, compared with the Uggs, they have much less cushion when you step down. Last but not least, I wear a 7.5 normally and bought these in an 8 because I knew they ran small, and they were still a half size too small. Ok, that's it. I almost never review products unless I'm in love with them, but I thought these might help others deciding between these and Uggs.

second pair of SHORT ELLE... first pair in OCEAN BLUE....Most comfortable and WARMEST boots ever... i am 65 and have MS so i cannot wear alot of shoes or boots that have thicker SOLES due to balance issues...can't wait for my PARTY PINK ELLE'S!!! i absolutely adore these boots and i catch people STARING at my feet alot!!!!

I actually got the Elle Short Wide in Gray. I love the look. They are slightly loose without socks, especially in the heel. I’m afraid if I size down that my toes will hit the end because there are no half sizes so I’m keeping these. The width is perfect for my extra wide foot with large bunions. The sole is quite stiff, stiffer than my Uggs. I’m hoping it will soften up with wear. There is an aggressive tread for use on snow and ice. I love that they have the Never Wet treatment. It will keep the light gray color clean. My red boots from Uggs already have some stains despite spraying them with water proofing. Very happy with them. I also own the same boot in black. Hoping Bearpaws will carry all the colors in wide next year as well as add more styles in wide. I live in Maine and they have performed well in the snow and cold.

I've been looking for a long time for this kind of comfy boot (that doesn't cost and arm and a leg either!). I have size 7.5 and thus, often the full sizes were either too small or too large. This one might be a little on the snug size for someone who is a full size 8 and none of these boots have arch support, but they are really nice and warm! My feet are toasty when I wear them, which is mostly around the house, errands and such. I'm so glad I finally found a pair that fit!

I normally wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8. My toes were touching the end. I sent them back and ordered a 9.

My daughter loves these. (She's 12.) The first pair had a chink above the heel on the inside that rubbed her heel from the moment she put it on. We purchased a second pair to see if they would be better, and they were much better. They do still rub her foot, so she typically wears a reinforced band-aid on her heel. I've noticed that she's wearing them a bit less than she did at first-- I believe due to the slight discomfort. Best to put your hand on the inside to feel the heel area with your fingers before making your decision to keep them.

I've gotten 2 pairs of these because they are so great for wearing around the house then being able to step outside. As with most Bearpaws I've found, if your feet waffle on sizes, go up one.

These boots never fail me. Always warm and comfortable. I do spray them with a water repellant, to ensure longer wear. And, after I purchase a replacement, I wear the old pair around the house. Just can't part with an old friend!

So cute & comfy, blacker than Uggs (so they look newer), and half the price of the Uggs. Really like these. I normally wear a 9 or 9.5 but had to get 10s (all they had), and they fit just fine.

Nice boots, every bit as good as the Uggs! They fit well, soft inside and they even look exactly the same :)

Perfect fit & sooo comfy. I’m a 7.5 in most things and these were perfection. Not too hot, not too flat, perfection. & once I put protection spray on them, I correctly assumed I didn’t have to worry about the “winter white” color. Honestly, goes with everything & I want to wear them everyday.

Love the boot! It ran about a 1/2 size too small and it doesn't come in 1/2 sizes, so I ordered the next whole size up and they work great. :)

Was debating between Uggs and these and am very pleased with the quality on these! Now, I have never owned Uggs so I can’t really compare, but the Uggs were $179 and these were $79 and these are a lovely, comfy, well made boot. Since the original shearling insoles were a little hard and not real fluffy I added shearling insoles from amazon to them (thank goodness I sized up half a size because the original insoles would NOT come out…trust me I tried). This has made them extremely comfy and warm. The warmth was what I really wanted, my feet are generally cold all winter. I also added a couple layers of leather boot conditioning balm all over the outside to make them more weatherproof and not really look like suede anymore. I am very pleased with the results after my modifications and I think these are going to do me well this winter! I’ll update if I have any issues

They feel fine. I would have ordered a half-size smaller if it was available. But they're soft and warm and perfect for the winter. Great customer service. I ordered the wrong color and exchanged them for no shipping costs.
