The short version of this review is as follows: Overall, these boots are excellent for the price. Order them a half size smaller and you should be happy. The materials, quality, fit and sizing are excellent for the price. First the materials feel durable and well made. I will say that the laces are a little stretchy and feel like basic cotton but that is an easy swap if you really wanted to upgrade. The stitching and overall construction seems well done. The fitment is good too, if not a bit generous. I normally wear and 11.5 D in everything but in these boots, a size 11 D fit much better. The lacing draws the boots tight in every direction and works very well. The feel of the sole and foot bed is very flat and very cushioned, exactly how a wedge sole boot like this should feel! The insoles are Caterpillar's EASE comfort system which are a well formed, foam type of insole, pretty good. The boots are an average to slightly lighter than expected weight for a boot like this. The only slight negatives I can see with these boots are the stretchy laces and the leather itself was a bit dry. The leather felt a little dry and the boots did squeak a little bit at first. After I decided I was keeping them, I applied leather paste and the leather instantly felt more hydrated and stopped squeaking. This is the first time I have ever purchased anything from the Caterpillar brand. I really had no idea what to expect in terms of quality but overall I am very happy! Walking and standing are very comfortable in these and they offer great value for the price. The black and the tan colors are very nice looking and would even make a decent dress up boot to wear with a nice pair of jeans. If you are considering this boot, I suggest you order a half size smaller and give it a try. You might just be pleasantly surprised, like I was.

These are really great boots! They took about two weeks to break in. During the break in I really didn’t know if I would like them. After I put some doctor scholl’s gel pads in them felt fantastic. They look great and feel great. This is my second pair of cat boots and I will buy this brand again.

For true to size. Quality was great and the price was very reasonable considering competitive options.

Shoes are great! felt just a little snug, I am sure when I break them in they will feel loose.
