After nearly 20 years of wearing the Asics GT line, I migrated to these and they have really worked out well. I wear them as a daily shoe now, and haven't had any problems with plantar fasciitis like I did with the Asics. In fact I just got back from 3 days of Disneyland stomping, and I was doing pretty well, whereas others in my party were limping pretty badly. I was worried at first it didn't have quite enough arch support, but maybe I've been overdoing that these past few years (via Superfeet green insoles). My only critique is the styling, which isn't terrible, but I wish these didn't have white rubber on them.

I switched to these shoes after the lining on my past pair of Asics (and my wife's last pair too) wore out very quickly. Having run in these shoes a few times I can say that they are a solid choice for a medium weight (~170lbs) guy running 2-4 times a week on pavement. I stick to running shoes that are >$100 these days because I find cheaper shoes are not comfortable and supportive enough. These shoes have been worth the price so far.

I loved these shoes! I wore them into the ground, and am sad they aren't usable anymore! I'm flat footed, and it's rare to find a shoe I love. I tried upgrading to the 22's, and it was a disaster. I haven't tried the 23's, but I was encouraged to try Mizuno's Rider Waveknit 3. Another option could be to look at Hoka One One.
I'd also recommend:

This is my sixth pair of Wave Riders, so you can consider them my go-to running shoe. Comfortable and long wearing. My feet are on the narrower side so they fit a bit loose for me. The slime green color is awesome and elicits plenty of admirable comments!

I've been wearing Wider Riders for almost a decade now and have never been let down. These shoes seem to fit perfectly, have the right amount of cushioning, hold up well, and provide stable footing on almost every surface. I've been training for an ultramarathon in the Wave Rider 21 and haven't had a single issue. Maybe the best part about these shoes is the durability; I usually put 1500-2000 miles on them before grabbing a new pair for running and continue to wear the old pair for walking. These are another stellar edition of the Mizuno Wave Rider and I would recommend them to any level of runner.

This is my fourth pair of Waverider. I quickly converted to the Waverider 18 when the Mizuno competitor start spraying the logo rather than stitching it on the side. The stitched logo adds to the structural integrity keeping the foot from stretching out and tearing the side of the shoe not to mention blister when your foot slips and slides in the toe box. I get 500 to 600 miles per pair while the last pair competitors (at a much higher price) didn't last 100 miles. I've purchased ten pair of Waverider. Two pair of 18, 19, and 20 then 21 has been my particular favorite at four pair. I run 1250 miles a year and will near give up my Mizunos.

Love road running in these shoes. They are my go to race shoe for Marathons. Good as always. Set a new PR in Houston with them.

I was an Asics Nimbus guy for years. And then they changed the shoe. Newer is not always better. In this case, it was much worse. The 18 was the last one I bought. I tried many different brands looking for a substitute for the cushioned feeling, wide toe box, etc. I stumbled across the Mizuno Wave Rider 21, It's the best replacement that I have found. I no longer run, due to 2 hip replacements, so I use these at the gym for lifting and the aerobics machines. There is no doubt in my mind these would be great to run in. I take a Men's 7.5 2E and they fit like the Olddddd Nimbus. I would recommend these as a fine replacement for the Asics Nimbus. Enjoy.

Use this shoes to train for my first Marathon.
Had knee injuries in the past with other shoes and improved considerably with these shoes + a knee protector.

I have long feet and long toes. Finally a running shoe that didn’t pinch my toes and fit snuggly on my narrow heel.

These are the best ever! Very well-cushioned-I feel like I'm wearing my furry slippers-comfort-wise. Gonna get another pair-oh-and the green is a real conversation-starter. Love them! I don't run much, but I have crummy feet, so I like a lot of cushion. Way to go, Mizuno!

My daughter gave me a pair for Christmas (12-2017), and I was so happy with their performance that I ordered them again 8/2018. I use them for walking, jogging and weight training, (4x's/wk). The only thing I would like is for stronger insoles. The previous pair started to show signs of wear early June.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The fit is just right. For athletic shoes, I will always go with Mizuno.

Should be paired with an orthotic sole (e.g. Superfeet) for true athletic arch and foot support like virtually any other running shoe, but out of the box are some of the lightest and most comfortable all-purpose running shoes on the market. Cannot recommend highly enough for indoor running purposes.

These shoes are great!! Confortable and they look great with shorts or jeans. I’ve only had a chance to run on a treadmill with them tho.
