Comfortable right out of the box, and the wide toe box combined with the ankle strap means I can adjust to accommodate both my bunions and my narrow heel--a win-win. My usual size (8 1/2 W) turned out to be too big, but an 8 W was just right. Leather is clearly high quality and shoe is well-constructed and sturdy; strap is a little further back than the usual Mary Jane, lending the top of the shoe a more elongated and elegant feel. I love the ankle strap detail of a Velcro closure hidden by a feminine buckle. There is the barest suggestion of a heel which makes this a little more polished and dressy-looking than a standard Mary Jane flat. Thanks, Zappos, for your generous policy which has allowed me to find great shoes like these!
Note for Zappees who want more like this--the Cobb Hill Petra is a very similar style without the heel--so it's more casual, but equally supportive and well-made. AND quite a bit lighter on the foot and somewhat less expensive.
I'd also recommend:
Cobb Hill Petra; Arcopedico Shawna

Well made, cute shoes. Color too similar to another pair that I own, will return for another color.

Cute and comfy; I've given up trying to find flats that work for my feet (bunions, arthritis, high arches), and these do the fashion duty of flats with skirts and slacks. I usually need an 8 1/2, but the roomy toe box meant the 8 W worked just fine. Love the ease of a Velcro closure hidden behind a buckle on the strap. Very supportive, well made; versatile--these are keepers! Thanks, Zappos, for making it possible for me to find shoes that fit AND flatter.

Love these shoes! So comfortable out of the box. On my foot, they do look a little more like a ballet flat than I expected -- they have a very low profile in spite of the small heel. They look great with skirts and ankle or capri pants. Love the pewter color which is neutral but still visually interesting. Following the other reviewers I ordered a half size down from my usual and they fit perfectly. I hope they wear well because I walk a lot.

After trying four similar shoes, I'm keeping this one! I normally wear a 9.5 M, but that was way too big, so I sized down to a 9. Still feels roomy, but the strap which adjusts with Velcro keeps the shoe very secure without pinching. Very comfortable right out of the box.

I really like this shoe, but sadly, the 9 (my usual size) is too big. I am returning and keeping the Taos Virtue, an almost identical shoe that fits more true to size.
Overall, I find that Taos brand shoes are just about the most comfortable on the market. I walk a LOT and have had a host of foot problems, including bilateral bunionectomies. Taos brand never disappoints.

These Taos Ta Dah shoes are a delight to wear--very comfortable to wear and in which to walk. They fit my size 7B feet just right. First time I tried Taos shoes and now I know to look for them in the future. They appear to be very well made. I'm happy!

According to the reviews, I ordered a 7 instead of my normal 7.5 and it was perfect. I have to admit, the arch support being in the middle of the shoe instead of on the side felt weird to me at first and I thought I’d dislike it, but instead it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I have never worn a more comfortable shoe.
I’m the kind of gal who had always gotten away with Ross-priced dress shoes with no arch support or comfort, but in recent months my feet have been absolutely killing me at the end of the day. I splurged on these shoes hoping they would help my aching feet, and they absolutely have. I am now a huge Taos fan and I look forward to purchasing some of their other shoe styles to see if they are just as comfortable. They are worth the price!!

I have wide feet, size 7; happily, the 7W fits perfectly. These shoes are very comfortable, but the arch support was inadequate, so I added a full-length insert designed for high heels (has a wonderful arch support) underneath the insole. Now my new shoes are perfect. I ordered the pewter color. If/when I scuff a spot, I can camouflage the scuff with a black metallic gel pen.

Love the color! I totally disagree with the size advice from other reviews. I ordered a half size and a full size up from my size and both are too big.

Got these for work and I’ve been wearing them nonstop. They were comfortable right out of the box and stay comfortable all day long. I have small bunions on both feet and there was no discomfort at all with these shoes. And the color is great. They were worth every penny!

These shoes are cute. I vary between 7.5w and 8w due to bunions. I found the toe opening just barely covered the bunions, and the toe box felt narrow on the outside edge. The 8w fit best, but I could tell they would soon feel uncomfortable and cause blisters. A n 8.5w might work.

These shoes felt comfy. They were fine lengthwise, the toe area was too big (I have medium not narrow feet). Cute but returning.

Love this style and brand of shoe. My current TAOS Mary Jane shoes are an 8 but I had to buy an 8.5.

I was hoping the medium width would be narrow enough since I own other medium in this brand. But was too wide. I liked the style very much

I’ve loved Taos since I’ve purchased their Crave boots, their leather is always top notch. This is my first time to purchase non boots and they did not disappoint. The leather and the style is beautiful! Fit is perfect, so comfortable although I did need to put some moleskin for a point where my pinky toes rub the shoe and wanted to make sure I would not get a blister. I’ve always purchased Naot and Dansko for Mary Jane style shoes and Naot is my absolute favorite but this Ta Dah style from Taos gives me a good alternative. It looks a bit dressier than the Naot Kirei I love and has a wonderful arch support as well. I have bunions and suffer from plantar fasciitis and I can see myself wearing these all the time, with dresses, pants or jeans. I am a teacher and stand and walk a lot for work and will put these shoes to much use.

I have other Taos brand sandals in 9 wide and thought these would be a good fit. Sadly the shoe was too tight on the bunion on my right foot. The strap is adjustable with Velcro which is good for high insteps. The leather didn’t seem soft enough to stretch enough to accommodate my problem. Sending back but like the Taos brand of sandals with the Velcro adjustments.
