I live in the upper Midwest and need winter boots that are warm, have good traction, and still look good after being out in icy rain and snow. I was looking for a pair of winter boots to replace my 7 year old Uggs and decided to try these. I bought the black and taupe. Boots are an all-day every-day item here from November to March and I was looking for a pair versatile enough to be worn with skirts or pants, and with a mostly neutral winter color palette. The lace-up style gives a snug fit around my calves which will keep out the snow and cold. I can pull them on and off from about halfway up the boot shaft. My calves are 13 1/2-14 inches and I have slightly narrow feet and heels. The footbed is comfortable, and despite the added features to keep out the elements, they don’t feel clunky-they just feel like winter boots. I tried them on with tights and they felt comfortable. I can add socks without making things feel too tight. I love the fact that the leather is already waterproof and I don’t need to treat it. From a distance it’s hard to tell they lace up, and up close they have a Nordic look that I like. I feel I will be able to walk through anything and have good footing and warm feet. They will be my winter go-to-boots.

I just bought these boots and wore them snow tubing last night. They are AWESOME! Fit perfect, look great, my feet were warm and had no sore spots after playing for hours. Super Comfortable and stylish winter boot!

I bought these boots based on their excellent reviews and holy mackerel, they’re just as fantastic as everyone says! Definitely true to size (I ordered both my usual 8 and 8.5, I kept the 8), snuggly warm, and good looking. They were a little stiff at first at my ankles but I went for a cold two mile walk in them the third day I had them and they were comfortable the whole time. ??

You just can’t beat perfection!!! Very hard to find good boots. I’m a riding instructor and need good looking, functional footwear, that allows me to move about on uneven terrain. Ariats gets that and Zappos supplies it! Huge thanks to both. I don’t wear socks, and usually buy an 8 to be sure I have plenty of room. Got these in the 7 1/2 and length and width worked well. Wore them to the farm the day they arrived! What a relief as I had just had knee surgery and really needed good footwear for warmth, comfort and stability. These boots check every box!!!

Nice boots. I usually wear an 8.5-9 and ordered the 9 (in Java) for my high arches, which fit fine. The lace up design works for me due to "athletic calves" I keep seeing referred to in these reviews. Love the color.
