What a great business-casual chukka boot! I'm very picky about the shoes I wear because I want as comfortable as possible and after wearing them for about 5 weeks straight (everyday to work in a hospital) and also walking around Chicago, I find these boots to be very comfortable while also looking professional. I also prefer a slightly wider shoe and this shoe is just that. I wear an 8-8.5 in most shoes and I ordered an 8!which fit me perfectly. Definitely would recommend and I am considering purchasing another pair in the charcoal/grey suede color! 10/10

Instantly comfortable boot, absolutely no break in time needed.

Followed the other reviews and ordered a half size down from my norm. Boots fit perfectly. I like that the foot bed is removable to add custom orthotics if needed.....I’m hoping these boots last a long time.

The Nigel Boot was comfortable out of the box. This is my third pair of shoes from Born and I have yet to be let down. I haven’t experienced the issues of soles and seams wearing out prematurely but I am new to their product. I have the Nigel Chukka that appears to be a little more casual and lighter weight leather. The Nigel boot is a little more sturdy and a good fit for all day wear and comfort. I have a pretty average foot shape with a neutral gate and high instep or arch. This shoe brand has been very accommodating and adaptable. So far they have been a good purchase. Time will be the ultimate factor now.

They started coming apart after 2 months

Great boots. I wear them about 2-3 times/week. I thought they would last much longer. Bought in Oct 2017, had to change the laces twice and already the sole has cracked. NOT RECOMMENDED.

These are great! I almost didn't order them because I have such a hard time finding shoes that fit in the store let alone online. My feet run wider and the shoes are nice and roomy! Plus I just love how they look. That artisan style and feel. Definitely recommend them! I just got them today so I don't know how they wear in the long run but so far I love them.

Fit great. Look great, and support my feet the way only Born can.

Too much much side to side room in the heel for me. Otherwise fit would have been good. Bought a half size smaller than usual per other reviews which turned out to be accurate.

The fit was what I was expecting by ordering my normal size. They are very comfortable and I ordered them because of the grey/casual appearance to wear with jeans. I was not disappointed.

I bought 2-pairs of Borns, planning to return 1-pair. However, these look so good and are very comfortable, I decided to keep them along with the Harrison boot. Fit is consistent, however this particular pair runs a bit narrower than most Borns, although this didn't affect me. If you have a wider foot, I wouldn't recommend these.

I bought the suede last year at a department store and loved them. Great for more casual wear. Got the smooth leather from Zappos. Much more stylish than most boots, very classy and comfortable. Because I had bought earlier I knew the size, but they run a little larger than sneakers, maybe a half size.

Great fit and comfort. Very well made. Does run a 1/2 size larger. I normally wear a 12 and an 11.5 fits perfectly.

Not made to last. This is a cool looking boot but doesn’t stand up to wear at all. I’m not hard on my shoes as I work in an office how3ver this boot fell apart within 5 months. First the laces then the toe then the top. I just purchased another pair of boots to replace the born boots. Usually I can get a year out of a pair of say rockports or Clark’s but Born charges more and is far less.

These shoes are comically bad. The upper is hardly supple. It just sags like the skin on someone 105 years old. There is no support to speak of and everything on the ground is transmitted through the sole directly to the foot. And finally, they look as though they've been worn for 20 years by a potato farmer. I'll gladly stack my "shoe IQ" up to anybody's, and I just don't understand these shoes from a style, performance, or any other perspective. Comically bad in every way.

I purchased these boots for a trip to Egypt and they were the perfect desert boots. I wore them almost continuously they were both cool and comfortable, whether walking over uneven coble stone streets or dry desert sand. The sole is low and provides great traction and support while the wide footbed provided excellent breathability. They also did an excellent job of keeping the sand out. At the end of the day, after dusting them off, they still looked good enough to wear with khakis for dinner! I would highly recommend these boots. In fact, I ordered a second pair in black for traveling in Europe this fall.

Great shoe...had a problem with stitching on a pair and Zappos sent a replacement... great customer service

I have been impressed by these boots since I got them. Right out of the box I wore them running errands and they were immediately comfortable. A little extra room in the toe box and comfortable insoles contribute to that. The build is typical Born - quality materials and stitching. I have already gotten compliments on the looks. If they hold up over time they'll be at the top of my list as favorites. Zappos was great as usual.

Those boots fit great. They look great and are stylish and very comfortable. Really like the color too. This is my 4th pair over the last couple of years

Nice looking and comfortable boots. Runs a bit large and wide which is what I was looking for from prior experience with this brand.

These are comfortable and good looking.

I had to order one half size down from my normal size, but once I figured that out I wear them all the time. They’re super comfortable, and I just made sure I waterproofed them so I’m able to wear them to work even. The leather is good quality, and for the price I really think these are pretty decent?

My endless search for a comfortable casual shoe that can be worn to dress up jeans and chinos has ended. This is a great looking and feeling shoe.
