My yoga instructor recommended this mat and let me try hers. I couldn't believe how good my joints feel practicing on a Pro mat - highly recommend for arthritis sufferers. The practice has helped keep me more mobile, improved my flexibility, and my joints feel terrific! Money well spent for years to come.

I'm a hatha yoga practitioner 19 years, trained for RYT200. I shopped carefully & after first month am totally impressed. Great stability, fine thickness on very hard floor. It's not too heavy, either, & I never salted it. I LOVE THIS MAT.

My yoga instructor was considering this mat and was impressed with the quality when he saw mine. Others have been equally complimentary.

Love this mat. It is fairly heavy though. I didn't have any issues with it being slippery as other reviews mentioned.

I had been researching mats for a long time. I didn't think I was ready to invest in a Manduka Pro, but my sister, a yoga teacher, and a 4th of July promotion convinced me I was ready for the splurge. I am so happy I did! The mat is GREAT quality and so comfortable. It is also super beautiful. I purchased the spray and the mat cleans up beautifully. No initial smell at all -- performance of the mat is fantastic! Wish I'd purchased years ago. I also purchased a travel mat a few months prior and absolutely love that mat, too!

I bought this recently. I love my mat. Super comfortable and secure. My feet don't slip around on the mat. I had ACL surgery about 9 months ago. With the padding and support my knee doesn't hurt as much as my old mat (from another company).

My knees and hips are usually sensitive when doing mat exercises but with this 6mm mat it's so comfortable!! A real game changer!!!!

I bought this yoga mat about 3 weeks ago and have used it daily. I do Yoga, Pilates and general HITT classes using it. It has great grip on the bottom and never moves on me like my previous mats have. It has has great grip on the front, I have t had any problems with sliding. When my hands are sweaty I have had a few moments of sliding, but I've been told that is to be expected with a new mat and that once it breaks in on the top layer that will happen less. The greenish blue color is beautiful and has a mermaid like shimmer to it. Overall, I couldn't be more happy with this mat, and given its life time guarantee, I will be using it for quite some time.

I bought this mat as a gift for my mother. She is constantly complaining that no mat is sticky enough for her + she loves thicker mats. Needless to say, she LOVES this mat. It's very sticky, just as she wanted and it's perfectly thick. While it is a heavy mat, we bought her a shoulder bag for it... so toting it around is no problem. Great buy, highly recommend... plus the coloring is really neat.

My yoga instructor suggested this mat. It is well made, great color, perfect thickness and does not smell. It is the most comfortable mat I ever had!

I've been able to use this mat several times since receiving it, and it's great! I've found the mat to be sticky, which is what I was looking for...though I do not do hot yoga classes.

Been using my new mat for about a month and I'm so far really happy with it! I was worried about the breaking in process but found it worked great for me right away. If other reviews are right and the mat just gets better with time and use, then I know this may will be a keeper. It's definitely a heavy mat but I'm ok with this for the durability and stability I get in class with it. I usually do heated power vinyasa classes with my mat, if you are a heavy sweater then it may get slippery but so far even with my amount of sweat it's doesn't get bad.

Years ago I bought a manduka pro mat and tried it out at my hot yoga studio. I remember feeling like I had no grip on the mat and feeling like I was going to fall out of my poses. So I returned the mat and went with another mat. I stopped practicing yoga for about a year and half and recently started going to my studio again and I noticed I felt pain in a lot of poses on my mat. There wasn't enough cushion, and it sometimes felt like to mat was too grippy. I decided I wanted a different mat and started looking for mats that offered a lot of cushion. My search brought me back to the Manduka pro mat. I ordered the Sea Star mat and it's a beautiful as it looks online. The real test came at my hot yoga studio though, I was worried I wouldn't have enough grip. To my delight, the manduka pro mat had plenty of grip for me. I didn't do any pre-treatment of the mat, I used it fresh from it's packaging. I didn't feel like I was going to fall out of my poses and there wasn't too much grip. Also the cushion on this is amazing, I've always felt pain when doing poses that had one knee on the ground, but on my first day with this mat I had no pain. I was amazed! I'm so happy I bought this mat, I was considering stopping my yoga practice because of the pain. Now that I have a mat that feels great to practice on, I'm thinking about practicing more. I didn't realize how much my old mat was holding me back.
