I'll come clean, I'm a penny loafer guy. Have the traditional cordovan and 2 pairs of black (one pair has a slight tear, and I already got the backup pair). Just added the color Seahorse to that collection. If you are a school teacher, and on your feet for 7 straight hours, I imagine these would not be the right shoes. But for someone who sits all day with periodic walks of a few blocks, they're great.

Great style! Definitely run a little large. I wear a 10 in their oxfords but a 9.5 does the job with these loafers. Definitely recommend!

As noted by many buyers, fit was a half size larger than stated

The shoes run about half a size big. Personally, I wanted these to start a bit tight since they are leather and will stretch. The quality and style is great.

Great looking shoes, truly a classic and look great with jeans. Ordered 9.5 for my son but they were too big and needed to return. I think they run a little on the long side. My son, who normally wears a 9 - 9.5 shoe - purchased a 8.5 and it fits

I loved the look of these shoes, but I had to return them due to them being too narrow. I wear a D width, which is what I ordered, but these felt much narrower.

These run extra large. Went down two full sizes and they were still too long.

These are CLASSIC loafers. The style and construction are excellent. Sole and heel are well built, and the leather upper is supple. Stitching in contrast makes quite a difference in the look from other penny loafers. Buy these only if you are a man of classic style.

What an amazing shoe. The perfect shoe to dress up and wear with a pair of jeans. I even put a penny in the middle like back in the day!

As others have mentioned, this shoe runs a half size large. I normally wear a 9, went with an 8.5, and it fits perfect. The leather is really stiff and kind of hurts around the ankle; I hope it breaks in after a another wear (I've only worn the shoes for one work day). I had some Weejuns in high school, but I can't remember how long the break-in period lasted. Other than that, it's a very nice looking shoe in the burgundy box leather.

Really sharp, classic look to dress up and dress down. I love them! I'm not sure about the other materials/colors, but the seahorse pull up is just about true to size - perhaps a bit bigger but not even a half-size. I'm a 10.5 or an 11 in dress shoes, depending on the brand. I tried both and went with the 11.

This is my first time purchasing Bass Weejuns and I have enjoyed them so far. They are a great value for your money in terms of a loafer as they have soft all leather uppers with sturdy stitching and the leather outsole is a plus from a longevity standpoint. They are fairly lightweight and work great as a warm weather casual shoe or dressed up with some slacks and a dress shirt. I recommend ordering a half size down from your normal shoe size as they will stretch as the weather wears in, and I found them to still be very comfortable during the first wear.

Shoe looks great, but to wide for my narrow foot

A great shoe. Very comfortable to wear all day. Runs slightly larger than the Logan (which runs slightly smaller than normal).

Great purchase. Fractionally more casual in appearance than photos suggest. Noticeable difference in width between left and right when new. This disappeared after break-in.

Based on other reviews I bought these a half size smaller than what I usually get and that was pretty spot on. Because of the open nature of loafers they feel a little looser/wider than a typical shoe, but the length was perfect at the half size lower. Nevertheless, they're mostly comfortable, and very stylish. I got the burgundy box leather and I really love the coloring (so does my wife). The only thing I would improve is that they could be a bit snugger around the heel to prevent them from slipping when walking--though this always tends to happen with loafers because of their slip-on nature. Otherwise they are an all around great shoe.

Enormous. My son has been professionally sized as a 13, which he's consistently been for a couple years... yet both the 13 and 12 were swimming on his feet. Otherwise, beautiful, quality shoe.

Good looking shoe. It has a leather sole; however, between the sole and the upper it is plastic. Looks odd to me and cheapens the shoe so I returned. Thank goodness for Zappos; I returned with no hassles.
