I walk a great deal and almost exclusively wear dresses. I have been looking for navy blue boots for years and these are perfect. The color and leather are beautiful and the heel height is elegant and comfortable. I was concerned when I read the reviews that the boots would be too wide at the calves but did not find them so. Included is a picture below so that you can decide for yourself. I like them so much I bought a backup pair.

Absolutely gorgeous in burgundy suede - which is more like a deep black cherry hue. This style is more feminine and shapely than other Born knee high boots. The shaft is a bit lower - about 14 1/4" in size 6. Very comfortable. Perfect heel for walking in style. The foot bed fit true to size. However the calf is wide in size regular. Would be great over pants but way too wide in the calf to be worn with tights or bare legs. I have regular sized calves (not thin, not wide) and could put my whole fist inside the shaft while wearing these boots.

When I saw them in the box I thought they looked perfect. Not so when they're on! They are skinny on the ankle and then the upper part of the boot settles on top of the ankle for disjointed pirate look. Not what I was aiming for. Pretty suede, though.

These boots are worth every penny. They are comfortable and stylish- I received many compliments. I’m 5’3” and it’s difficult to find boots that don’t go all the way up to my knee. These came up about two inches below the knee so it was perfect!

I bought these for a good work boot that I could be in all day without my feet hurting running back and forth between offices or up and down stairs. They look nice with a skirt and also longer slacks. They are comfortable. There is nothing "extraordinary" about the style or design, but they work for the intent that I bought them.

OMG !!! THESE BOOTS ARE BEAUTIFUL ! I bought these thinking they would be tight, not so, they hug my claves which are kinda large and they do not slouch (no pirate here) and the rubber sole is awesome. I could wear these with or without stockings or tights and i can fit my skinny jeans inside. Love them

Great boot! Very comfortable!!

I loved these boots. However, after wearing them 3 times in the house and on my deck, the toe box was a problem. This is the first pair of BORN boots I did not find to fit like a comfy glove. I kept debating whether to return or not, and finally decided it wasn't worth it to be that uncomfortable. BORN has always been my "go to" boot. I tried to order a larger size but the color change was not available. I have since found 2 other boots that I have recently purchased from you that satisfy the comfort with style factor.

I love these classic, tall winter boots. Will look great with jeans or a dress. Buttery leather. They ran .5 size small on me.

Love these boots! I was looking for a leather knee high black boot without a crazy high heel, and these are the ones! Really comfortable, nice quality leather. They also have a nice, soft shaft lining if you want to go without tights. Would definitely recommend!

Attractive style and quality but Zappos information was way off regarding the dimensions. The circumference was about an inch narrower than indicated. Love Zappos service, but please give us more detailed, accurate information. No fault of Born, so I based my overall rating on the product. Zappos gets one star for this one.

These boots are so cute and comfortable. I bought several pair of Born boots this year, and these are by far my favorite!

Wow, talk about a comfortable and great looking boot! The inside is lined and so comfortable with tights. No problem fitting over jeans (my calf is a 15). Only complaint is the type of heel. I wish it was a little more narrow and dressy.

I love these boots a lot!!! The color is absolutely yummy and the cut in the foot is very flattering and, so far, pretty comfy. I’m going to wear them around the house this weekend in hopes of taking them to New York next week. Other reviews have said the top of the boot is wide and I must agree. I will wear them with leggings I suppose. But this boot is a keeper.

I really wanted to keep these boots but they were not wide enough for me and I wasn’t sure if they would stretch out. Very pretty boot though

Boot is beautiful. Nice soft leather and lovely lining. Bought as a gift for daughter who loved them, but the leg of boot was too wide for her calf. So will be returning but sadly.

This may be the best boot I have ever owned! I have slightly muscular calf’s. Wide shaft boots are way too big but normal ones are sometimes too tight. I have 5 pairs of born boots and it is the one brand that fits me perfectly. Comfortable, stylish, love them! I have black leather. Ordering the blue suede now.

Got the Avala in black suede. LOVE them. Size 10 M - felt true to size. Found calf width perfect for me - and I have athletic calves and sometimes have difficulty finding boots I can zipper. Got lots of compliments wearing with dress/skirt and tights and then under jeans as a more casual look - a short work trip only required one pair of boots. Will be ordering another pair in leather.

Absolutely beautiful. A classic style the will stand the test of Time. Too bad I can't zip it all the way up. If you have large calf like a do this is not an option for you.
