So I have a pair of Brooks Adrenaline '16's that I've been using and since they don't make the shoe the same way...I needed to find something else. I first went with the '18 version but had to return them because they weren't right for me. Zappos customer service is awesome! The returns are painless, the staff is friendly, professional and fun to interact with. You can tell they enjoy their jobs.
For context, I was looking for shoes that I could use on the treadmill and in the gym. I have flat feet and can typically get away with D width. I came across the 1260's as a top recommendation for flat feet. Many seemed to indicate a narrow fit. I went with a 2E.
I ordered yesterday, they arrived today and have already been put to the test. I ordered the Thunder/Black color. They look much better in person than online. They're blue but almost look black with the bright blue and green accents. Looks wise, they're great.
As soon as I put them on, I knew they were the right choice. They wrapped around my feet like a glove. The padding, support, stability and cushion is all top notch. I felt energized on the treadmill today. The contact seems to be mid foot. The ride is soft, almost springy yet firm. It defies logic but NB did it. The midsole at the toe box extends outward providing a very stable ride.
My only gripe about these shoes is more heel slip than I'd like, I'd like the heel to have more padding to keep from slipping, but it is slight. To combat this, I have all eyes laced up and that helped. The other thing is the tongue seems to want to move around more than I'd like but again, using all lace eyes kept that from happening.
I have the 860v7 and they are supportive but do not offer as much cushion as the 1260's. I also wear the 1080v7's as a daily sneaker, I've not tried them on the treadmill.
Verdict is the 1260's are a winner if you have flat feet. They are more expensive, but the comfort is worth it.

These are by far one of the most comfortable and supportive running shoes I have ever tried but I had to return them for a single reason. They mimic some of the barefoot shoes I have tried and thus, the heel is a bit lower than a regular shoe. I have multiple orthopedic injuries accumulated through years of pushing the athletic envelope and these injuries make it painful for me to wear any shoe with either a lower or higher heel. If, like me, you need a more traditional shoe with a more level heel-toe balance this is (unfortunately) not the shoe for you. I have to stress how wonderful this shoe is and how sad I was to have to return it.

Fit well, good width and right length. One issue, if you look at the over-top image is that the front portion of the shoe looks like an orthotic in a way. The white part of the sole sticks out quite a bit. If they made the upper part of the sole black, as they did on the 860v8, it would tone that portion down.

I’ve bought a lot of shoes from Zappo’s but this is my first review. These shoes are excellent. I don’t normally pay for the more expensive models of running shoes, but I had grown dissatisfied with a cheaper pair of NBs that had a 12mm drop. They are not too worn out but just weren’t comfortable and made my feet overheat. I went with these 8mm drop shoes and won’t settle for cheap running shoes anymore. These have much better cushioning and are clearly better constructed with higher quality materials. I have flat feet and I like a wide toe box, so I ordered a half size on the small side and compensated by ordering wides. Perfect fit and the look cooler than most new running shoes, also. Plus, I just received an email from Zappo’s saying that this pair qualifies for a running trial and I can return them for a refund within 30 days. That’s unheard of in the shoe business, but I won’t be returning mine.

Very good light-weight race day shoe. I usually wear the NB 1540v2, but decided to give this a try as I was looking for a lighter weight alternative for shorter distances on urban surfaces. So far, this fits the bill. While very comfortable, I would not recommend this model for longer runs as it does not offer the cushioning or support of the 1540v2 that I need for runs over 5 miles.

Light in weight, breathable, a good workout shoe. Runs narrow: I usually wear a medium width (D), but with this shoe I take a wide (EE). Has a straight last, moderate arch support on the inside, and lots of reflective material around the outside.

Comfortable sneakers for my 12 year old son. Nice, wide toe box, easy to slip on, and moderate arch support.

FINALLY, a cool looking shoe, in wide! I got these for my husband, to get him out of the grey old-guy sneakers he was wearing. He loves looking stylish and these fit great.

Although these shoes my son finds very comfy and the 2e fits his width great. They are barely 2 months in use and definitely not used everyday as he has 2 other pairs of shoes, but are falling apart. The sole is separating from the shoe in 2 places and my son is already asking for a new pair. I really wish I could say they were more durable bc the look and feel are great.

Oh, wow! Fabulous from the minute I put them on.I buy men's shoes because they are much wider than women's and give my swollen arthritic bones the space they need. Also these were suggested for flat feet by a runner's website, no giant arch supports poking my feet.

Liked the look of the shoe, it just had too much of an arch for my flat feet. I need almost zero arch support or I get cramping in my legs.

Overall so far a great sneaker, I’m not a runner so I can’t provide any real data from that perspective however 4 to 5 day a week at the gym, doing a variety of circuits and zero complaints.
These are my first pair of New Balance in it must be 7-8 years as I’ve been rolling with the ASICS Nimbus line 17/18/19 and for me the line has been decreasing in comfort with seemingly every new model, heel issues, narrower toe boxes ect... figures I’d try something else, so outta the box comfort is about the best I’ve ever had, I wear a 15 wide, no small task in making that happen and boom the fit mint, so my only real complaint is 150 bucks a pair, maybe I’m old school but I’m not running the Boston marathon or heading to the next reagional triathlon, I need a good workout shoe that a can handle hard workouts for 4 to 6 months while being comfortable, so maybe the extra coin is worth it. Time will tell.

Toe box feels narrower for width than I am used to from prior NB purchases. It's just the tolerable side of too tight so I expect as padding breaks down and materials stretch it will work out fine.

Purchased my first pair in the early 70's when the local athletic shoe store burned down and had a fire sale. $8.99 and I wore that pair for several years (could not afford another pair and the actual price during high school track.
Foot is shrinking, but I'm still buying. Reliable shoe, supply chain, and return policy. Even wear a pair as a volunteer EMT (black is required) so I can take advantage of the stability feature.

I have been a New Balance wearer for the last 30 years. Shoe models come and go and about 10 years ago I could not find a New Balance shoe that felt right any longer. After I complained to a New Balance Representative that I thought they had lost focus, he came to me with a new model - the 1260v1. Finally, a New Balance shoe that was just right. Now after 7 versions of this shoe, it appears New Balance is again trying to figure out what kind of shoe they are going to bring to market. I am able to still find the 1260v7 but not in any store. It appears to be going away and I am again going to be trying other brands soon. But until the 2 pair I just bought are finished, I'm set.

I believe the NB 1260 v7 is a great product and NB shoes are the best ever. Too bad this model is being discontinued. I ordered a size 13M but had to return them as the pair was too narrow. Unfortunately, there were no 13W in any color to order from the NB website. They were a great looking shoe and I do wish they had fit. Will look elsewhere for the 1260 in a wide or give the NB Rubic a try as NB customer service advised me the 1260 v7 is being replaced by that model.

Basic exercise and all around shoe. Very comfortable, stable and can wear for long periods of time. Concern that is no longer available. Seems every time I get a sneaker I like in New Balance they end up discontinuing it. Would like to know what is similar and/or replaceing it.

I buy a new pair of the 1260v7s each year. They keep my knees happy as I run a couple of times each week. Love them. My only critique is that they tend to be warm. Also - note - I wear a size 9 shoe, but a size 10 1260v7.
