I haven't had a pair of Weejuns since college, and in a fit of nostaglia I ordered these. I'm so glad I did - they are comfortable, classic and versatile, and I know I'll be wearing them for years. I usually wear an 8.5 or a 9 in most shoes and in this style the 8.5 is perfect for me. They feel a teeny bit tight, but I know the leather will stretch a little with wear. Very happy!

I want to love these loafers. I wore them in my teens. I wore them in size 7 or 7.5 when I liked to wear my shoes a bit bigger. I remember then how stiff the black ones were initially. Perhaps that was one of the reasons why I got the bigger sizes. However, my taste in shoes and quality has changed. I order my actual size which is a 6. The length seems okay as long as I get my feet in them which is quite an ordeal. I purchased a shoe horn to get my feet in these. Once I got my feet in them, they seem fine to walk around in them (in carpet flooring only). Admittedly, I am trepidatious about wearing them out and keeping them. The box leather is quite stiff and will no doubt cause blisters in a 6. From the recommendation, I thought I'd first get the 5.5 regular and went to the size 6, which fits like a glove and no heel slip. Going up to a 6.5 will make the shoes too long. Not to mention, the size 6.5 is sold out. I can't bring myself to rate these loafers high on the scale. They are cute and classic. I can only give them a 3 Overall; 2 for Comfort (the black box leather is stiff) out of the box. If you want them to fit like a glove, prepare to get your size and go through the break-in period. If you don't like the regular width, go up a half-size or 1 size. I am still uncertain whether to go with this size or go to 6.5. I will consult. Zappos has terrific customer service, and I am grateful for them making sure I am happy with the size. For this, I stay a forever loyal customer. Hope this perspective helps. It really depends on your discretion and whether you want to get blisters or not. Best.

I ordered the 9.5M in Cordovan Box Leather, which was nicer looking than expected. I was afraid they would be too shiny. Unfortunately, the fit didn't work at all. My heels were slipping --- not quite slipping out, but definitely not secure --- and my big toe was pressed hard up against the top of the shoe. You could see my toenail through the leather. It's too bad the fit isn't better; I really like the classic American style these have.

I ordered the blue loafers and they are a super soft high quality leather. Classic style that is timeless. In the past I wore a size 7 as a constant. In the last few years it seems as though vanity sizing has taken over now I wear a 6.5 W whenever available. Well the 6.5 W was huge by at least an inch in length. So I ordered the 6 W and although the width fit my flat wide Fred Flintstone feet the toe box was low and I could see the imprint of my toes through the leather. I did decide to keep them due to the softness of the leather, hoping they would stretch in depth and they did. I wore them a few hours for 3 days and now they fit like a glove. Love them and will probably order the coral color. I don't think I could wear the black ones as they are not the soft tumbled leather.

I ordered the Size 5.5 in Regular width. I am a Size 5.5 in Frye, Jeffrey Campbell, Stuart Weitzman, Doc Martens or 6 (depending on the brand) or Euro 36. According to the reviews, these loafers run long and narrow, so it made sense to get a 5.5. Experientially, it is true; these fit a bit cramped. The length is good. One thing I couldn't ignore, I felt a bit of stiffness and rubbing on the back of the inner heel/Achilles heel/inner ankle area. I was sad and disappointed that the Black Box Leather is so stiff that it was difficult to slip each shoe on without experiencing pain in the heel area. Once they're in, there will be no doubt that these will give you blisters as you break them in. If you are willing to put up with the pain, it may be worth trying. Breaking in will take some and massive blisters before conforming to your feet. I am returning the Size 5.5 Regular to switch to the Size 6 Regular, and a perhaps a different color as the other types of leather appears to be softer. I may change brands altogether. So disappointed because they looked so cute from the pictures and ads, but I can't bring myself to give it more than 1 star because I have tried other brands before purchasing this at Zappos. The experience to search for these loafers and this brand have been somewhat frustrating. Thank you.

I absolutely love this shoe! Was looking for stylish flat shoes to wear during pregnancy as my feet swell. Unfortunately these are so narrow l, they were hard to get on even without any swelling.

I really wanted to like these shoes - very attractive and well made. I normally wear a 6.5 W. The 6.5 W was too long. The 6 W was too narrow.

Very happy with this shoe. I am a 10.5 Regular on the left and a 10 on the right. I have a regular width foot and a wide toe box from German heritage. I lucked out with this shoe. Although the toe box is not wide, the leather is of such quality that it immediately began to mold to my foot. The only issue I had was on the right where the top of the shoe in the back rubs uncomfortably. I expect to break this in. Sophisticated and stylish. I tried another GH Bass in the same size and the toe box was much too narrow. It was also less expensive so maybe it has to do with the quality of the leather? Anyhow, if you have tried another Bass that didn't work for these reasons, this one may do the trick. Best to use a shoe horn as the back is, as I said, stiff. A good quality shoe.

Classic Bass loafer. Can’t go wrong here. Will have this show for years and it will always be stylish. Great with cropped suites, jeans leggings & khakis. Beautifully made, classic lines & great comfort. You will not be disappointed!

While these are more on the orange side of ‘red’ , they are fun! Really gave my outfit a POP of color and did so with a classic shape and great arch support. Highly recommend these shoes for those who are daring enough to be noticed!!

The leather is supper soft, but it felt and looked a bit big slipped off the back of my heel. High quality craftmanship. I recommend this shoe for sure.

I just received the pink metallic penny loafers. This one felt soft and very comfortable. I usually don't wear socks and it felt great! I would highly recommend. (I have a narrow width and usually have to use ball of foot inserts but on this pair I didn't need to)

I just love this shoe! This Bass Weejun is perfect for anything you ask of it. Fits perfectly, is so comfortable, I am not kicking it off the minute I come in the door. I am in jeans all the time, and these add just enough panache' to casual everyday wear. Luckily, Zappo's is out of stock on all colors, so, I can not buy more! But, there is a G.H. Bass outlet not far from me, which I may have to visit soon!

These are good quality shoes. I was really surprised at how nice the leather is. I took my normal size in shoes that I wear without socks. Unfortunately, the wide width of these loafers runs a little narrow. My feet are only slightly wide and I can often wear regular width shoes, and I do think these would have broken in with time. But the real dealbreaker was some very rough stitching under the top of the shoe, which I could tell right away would have torn up the top of my foot if I were to wear them for any amount of time. I wasn't sure that was going to break in and I didn't want to chance it. That may have been a fluke with the pair I got. If you have narrow feet and are looking for a nice penny loafer, try these out!

Love the color and quality of the sole. Runs big! The leather was very soft, which would normally be great, but the shoe runs big, which made it even more loose fitting. I need to size down 1/2 size. I wear size 11 and have a skinny foot but these were significantly bigger and looser fitting them the Sperry loafers I received from Zappos.

Softest shoe leather ever! These shoes run way big. The photo shows a size 6.5 M Weejun between a 7.5 M Ugh and 7.5 M B.P. The 7.5 M Weejun was huge, the 7.0 M still slipped off at the heel, the 6.5 M was too tight, so all went back. That's just me, I guess. If you're looking for an ultra comfortable, superior leather retro loafer, this is It. Give 'em a try.

These are way too long to be a size 6W. I am a solid 6 with a wide toe box and so often have to try out the wide version. However, these are simply so long that you should not purchase unless you're going to go down a half size down.

I am a standard size 6 with a wide toe box, so ordered the 6W and the length was very long. My foot was popping out with each step. Beware of this sizing.

I love these shoes. They are beautiful and a classic style. They were also too big. I went with my normal size but ordered a wide after reading the reviews. I then ordered a half size down and they are also a little too large. I am going to try an insert and see if they will work since I think going down another half size will be too small.

I’m normally a size 8.5, and that’s the first size I ordered. I ended up sending them back and ordering a size 8, because there was just a little too much room in the toe. The 8s fit well, but I absolutely see what people are saying about this shoe being rather narrow. I have slightly narrow feet and they still seem snug, but not uncomfortably so. I was also initially concerned about the possibility of heel-rubbing, based on how they felt on the first wear, but that hasn’t been a problem so far. Overall it’s a great shoe, very cute.
