These shoes feel like they look - a robust casual shoe/boot. They feel sturdy and comfortable but maybe have a little too much room in the shoe, they don't really hug your feet. Previous reviews noted that these run large so I ordered them a half size small and the shoe length seems perfect. I also wish there were a heel pull tab which was a loop of material rather than the lower flap of leather, I feel like the high top of the heel will degrade over time as I put the shoes on over and over since there is no good way to hold this area up when I put my foot in.

Nice Shoes. This is my second pair since the first pair was good. Never hurts to have a spare of something you like.

Half size large, at least. I'm a solid 9.5 in pretty much everything, and for these a 9 was almost perfect, if not still just a little big. I'm afraid another half size down and it'd be too small. Width is a little wide, but not enough for me to actually mark them as "wider than marked". These are COMFORTABLE, and felt amazing, right out of the box. I can't speak to their longevity as I haven't had them long, but the durability and construction seems pretty spot of for Danner. These are a bit more "tennis shoe" or athletic style than most Danner/Red Wing boots, which is definitely what I was going for. Highly recommend.

These felt great but were loose in my size (10.5) even with a beefier hiking sock on. Lots of play in my heel. I returned and got a half size smaller and they fit great, though I had to return them since they were beat up by someone else who got them and returned them after being worn outside.

Light boot for daily use. Laces too long but not a big problem. Perfect for casual-sport use. Soft and confortable felling. It doesn't looks like those are long lasting rugged enough for hard climbing.

I ordered a half size smaller because I wasn’t going to wear the boot with thick socks (work, hiking, etc.). Fits perfect for people who normally wear an 8.5 (US).Boot was also not as bulky a boot as a 600. Happy with the buy.

These boots are odd, in styling and in feel. They're explicitly sold as everyday boots, which is fine, but the midsole is quite stiff and there's no give or cush to them at all. They're not hiking or technical boots and rocks tend to get stuck in the shallow lugs. The toe kind of looks like a sneaker, but the rest of the boot looks like a technical hiking boot. The Jag or the Mountain 600 from the same company are both better everyday boots, and there's dozens of better hiking boots, and it's not cushy or particularly comfortable. I had to crank them down hard to feel like they were secure on my feet.
