As a Florida girl (ha!) who lives in sandals, I'm always on the lookout for closed-toe shoes that will let me walk to restaurants and theaters in NYC in cold weather. I ordered my usual 8.5N, but didn't hold out much hope, because in other Softwalk styles, I've walked right out of them: awkward, inconvenient, even dangerous when you're trying to cross Broadway before the light changes. The crossed elastic straps on the Waverly solve the problem. While there's a little bit of slip on the heel, the shoes stay in place, and they have just enough height in the wedge heel to keep pants legs out of puddles. If you have a high instep, this elastic might be uncomfortable, and once I've auditioned them, I might have to add a heel pad to boost my foot up 1/8". But if you have trouble finding shoes with narrow heel width, and trouble keeping your feet in shoes while you're walking, this style might solve the problem. I'm glad I gave Softwalk once last chance.

I have such a hard time finding shoes that aren't too flat or too high, but these are just right. They fit perfect and the leather is buttery soft. After the first pair, I ordered the others in 2 other colors. Absolutely love them!

These shoes are amazing, and far cuter in real life than they are in the pictures. They are the answer to my persistent professional conundrum: I need shoes that will let me stand comfortably all day in the lab, look good with dress slacks and business clothes for meetings and in the office, doff and don easily when going through airport security, and stay securely on my feet while I'm hossing it through O'hare to my gate. Also, they look adorable with jeans and skirts on the weekends. And the fact that they come in multiple colors (I have the blue metallic, but I am definitely buying others), and I got 4 compliments on them within the first 20 minutes of having them on is just icing on the cake. They seem to run a little big; I ordered my usual size 7.5, and they're a little roomier than most, but not so much that I would downsize.

I thought they were more of a silver but am pleased with the solid black. They go with EVERYTHING. I wore to Europe, through airports, parks and wear them all day at work. I have high arches and the elastic is not too tight. They lasted a month with heavy wear and then the front material is scrubbing off a bit but it's hardly noticeable.

These were given to me as a gift in my normal size of 8W and I really liked them when I first tried them on. SO comfortable and the elastic straps were not a problem with being too tight like some shoes. The shoe has lots of good padding and would be a joy to walk in. HOWEVER, when I took my first few steps my narrow heels came right up out of the shoe. My toe box area is so wide (bunions too) and since my heel is probably a 2A narrow, I am almost limited to Mary Jane styles or Clogs/Mules. If you do not have my problem you might like these shoes!

OMG ! These are SO SOFT ! I tried so hard to keep these shoes. I can't wear heels anymore, but this is a dressy shoes, and lovely style. It is like a wedge, only not clunky, and the heel part is covered with the soft leather from the shoe. Very classy and comfortable. I finally decided I had to return them, sadly, Even though the foot part fit me, the heel slipped. I tried heel tabs, or tried putting a piece of insole under the toes, but then my larger right foot felt too cramped. Not only is this shoe beautifully made, it has a nice safe gripping sole, and the arch support is amazing ! so sad to send back.....but go for it ! I recommend anyway.

I bought these shoes for a four-day trip to Paris. I got these the day before the trip, so couldn't 'break them in'. Nevermind, i didn't need to. I wore these without socks the whole trip and NO BLISTERS or any hot spots. I climbed up the stairs at the eiffle tower, Notre Dame, walked through the flea markets, walked all over town, etc. No back pain, no heal pain, plenty of support. I highly recommend them. One note, I am usually a 5.5 and they fit just right at 5.5 without socks.

These are very comfortable. Perhaps just a touch snug in the toe Box. But sometimes mediums fit me that way. Chriscross straps on top are nice except if your foot swells than it will bulge. These are little bit plain.

I liked these shoes very much. They are attractive and a comfortable height, but the shoe box was too tight. Had to send them back.
