These are rubbery, no real beauties, and I had to go up in size, but they are comfortable. They are hard enough to give support, yet soft enough to comfort your tired feet. They have good arch support, which is important to me with high arches and plantar fasciitis. Not many sandals work for me. These do, and so do Vionic and Oofos. I wear a 6 in Vionic and Oofos, a 7 in these. Oofos are softer; these give more support. Vionics are dressier.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these flips!!!! I have three pairs of Hoka shoes, and they're awesome. But, after reading reviews of the recovery flips I fully expected the flips would not meet the very high standard set by Hoka shoes. I'm so glad I ordered anyway because I've been struggling with plantar fasciitis. When I wear the recovery flips, no more plantar fasciitis! The strap is soft, and feels great. The footbed has wonderful support with just enough spongy feeling to be super comfortable. I do have a narrower foot and can't wear many flips because the straps are way to large for me. When I find sandals and flips I can wear I am so happy. . . and grateful!!! I'd love to see more cuter color combinations like in the shoes, but I'll take these flips any way I can get them! Thanks Hoka! Keep up the great work!!!!

I was so disappointed in this year’s recovery sandal. I have worn nothing but recovery sandals in all three colors From last year, and they really help my plantar fasciitis. But this year’s shoe is a different material and they are very loose on the top of the foot. I would do anything to get more of last year’s style.

I'm not one for writing reviews although I read reviews all the time but I just had to write one on these. I have a neuroma in my right foot and it's very painful every day of my life. This flip flop is the most comfortable shoe that I have had on my feet in months. It takes all the pressure off the neuroma and I can walk without pain.

I hate this new style! Rubbed a blister right away. Had to order the blue/lime color to get the older style. The new footbed is not cushy like the old one was! I've had a pair for over 2 years and loved them. They were the old style.

With the way the straps are placed so high up on the instep and the toe piece is sooo long - my feet kept slipping out of these flip flops! I wanted to like but poor design. I gave it two stars because it had the cushion my feet needed! Returned.

I've had my prior pair of these flip flops for a few years and have loved owning them. They are great for walking around the house, walking the dog, taking out the trash, and also for normal flip flop use (beach). And they didn't seem worn down. I bought the new pair because the old ones had a clear silicone strap that had changed to a yellowed look that I don't love on the black and white. But the new ones have a fabric strap that isn't nearly as comfortable on my foot/between my toes. I am now constantly aware of the strap between my toes. This is so disappointing because I wear them so much. Sending them back. I'll wear the yellowed ones as long as I can or until they fix this issue. These also feel 1/2 size smaller than the sneakers which I own in three different styles all in this size (Bondi, Clifton, and Challenger).

My wife loved your flip flops I bought her one year ago but the strap broke. So, I ordered here a new pair exactly like the old. Now her feet are covered in blisters on the tops from the straps? Did you change the strap material? If so, it is not working. She loved the first ones that broke, and hates these.

Cushy & comfy as you’d expect from Hoka, EXCEPT as others noted, the toe post is AWFUL, painfully rubs between toes. I’d expect a performance based shoe company like Hoka to figure out how to make a more comfortable toe post! They were comfy enough that I rigged my own solution, sewed a piece of fleece around the toe post, but you shouldn’t need to make your own modifications on $50 flip flops. Hopefully, Hoka fixes this. Unlike others who reviewed these shoes, the sizing was fine for me.

This was my first pair of Hokas. I had hear good things about their sneakers so I gave these a try. While the foot support is comfy, the sandal straps are flimsy and should be stronger and more substantial. I found the straps tight and too light for the chunky bottom. I much prefer the Crocs, which not only have great support, the top of the sandal is way more comfortable and stylish. For the price, these Hokas were a disappointment.

I use them everyday since I work from home and no one can see my feet on my virtual workplace. I even bought them as a birthday gift for a friend so she could have the same comfortable shoes.

After a serious injury to my foot I have had 5 surgeries in 3 years and now have overcompensation issues, as well as ACL Insertion tendinitis and subsequent plantar fasciitis in both feet. I was finally able to return to mild running, but for the most part I have taken up cycling to preserve what little “load” I can stand during work outs. I “walk” in Bondi 6 and run in Clifton 6 so these were going to be my first “try” as a basic orthopedic flip for Frankenfoot. I own these in EVERY color way and I do not know how I would ever have managed this Spring/Summer without them. Incredibly similar to the footbed composition of the Bondi 6 (imo) or the Clifton 5, for me these are like stability posh running shoes underneath a perfectly placed arch support. I NEVER write reviews, but my Kids got me these for Moms Day thinking I could just wear them in the house (because I will never be able to so much as walk to the bathroom in bare feet again) and I quite literally am wearing a pair 24/7 with the exception of WOD’s, but post workout the ONLY shoes I wear. I am planning on doubling up on them as soon as they are back in stock and go on sale, but honestly if they do not they are absolutely worth every penny, imo.

I am a 72 year old restaurant owner/full time worker and have worn these everyday for 2 years! Hands down they are the best -I NEVER have foot, back or leg pain after wearing these 14 hours a day! My only complaint is Hoka needs more color selection! Buy these you'll never be disappointed!

I could not love these more. I have a bad knee, two artificial hips and occasional plantar faciitis. Worn them around the house to get used to sturdy material of toe strap. Softened after a few days and now I forget I’m wearing shoes at all.

These flip flops are perfect for anyone who needs an extra cushioned sole. They feel like walking on firm sponges. I have problem feet with very sore joints and these flip flops provide a stable wide footbed and the best cushioning you can imagine. I picked this style because the thong between the toes is made out of fabric rather than molded plastic. I knew it would soften and it did. Very happy with this purchase.

Exactly what I was looking for. I followed the reviewers and ordered up. I wear an 8 1/2 and ordered a 9. They fit perfect. Nice sturdy heal base and comfortable to walk in. No pain from walking or standing. They are a keeper.

Love the arch support and rocker sole. I found them very comfortable and have walked miles in them with out getting leg fatigue. Not very stylish but I don't care as long as they are comfortable.

These are my first pair of Hokas. I'm on Zappos right now to order more. I live with continuous daily foot pain (heel spur and plantar fasciitis). No matter what shoes I wear, I'm usually limping by the end of the day. When I put these Hoka flip flops on, they were immediately comfortable so I wore them for 4 days straight. I have ZERO PAIN in my heel while wearing them. (The toe thong is a little stiff but I'm hoping that goes away with time.) I am sooo happy!! No pain, for the first time in several years. Thanks Hoka! And thanks Zappos!
