I love this shoe and let me tell you why: I ordered 12 pair of shoes from Zappos in prep for a trip to Africa; the shoes were all Columbia brand in various styles and sizes. I needed a comfy, waterproof shoe that did NOT have a super high arch. I normally wear a 7-7.5 and always size up to a 7.5 for athletic shoes. This shoe I tried sizes 7, 7.5 and 8 and settled on an 8 because the 7.5 hit the end of my toes (Columbia are sized small). I used these for two weeks in Africa villages going through mud, water, across rocks, etc. My feet never got wet and were comfy the entire time. I have a medium width foot and appreciated the slightly wider toe bed so that my feet could wiggle a bit. I was glad to be able to return the 11 pairs that didn't fit and get a full refund. Love these shoes and love Zappos!

I purchases these in an 10.5, but should have ordered an 11. While I wear a 10 in most shoes, the the 10.5 was much too small. Order big!

I've been buying Peakfreak Outdry shoes for a couple years. Comfortable and i know to order a half size up with this style.

I love this shoe. I bought it for trail hiking/geocaching. It is super light-weight and flexible. I normally wear a 7.5 and got an 8; fit was perfect.

First off, these shoes are amazing and perfectly waterproof. I work outdoors at plant nursery and was constantly having to choose between dealing with soggy sneakers or boots that don't breath but not anymore. I can stand in deep puddles as long as they don't go above my ankles and my feet stay perfectly dry, and these shoes breath just fine. However, as far as comfort is concerned, these shoes aren't exactly great. They offer virtually no support but that's what insertable insoles are for. In my opinion, the pros so far outweigh the cons for this shoe.

This is a great looking hiking shoe that doesn't look like a guy's but doesn't look too girly. Just the right amount of purple to give it a feminine twist. I also love that it is not clunky. The 7 fits me beautifully. I plan to go on a 9 day trip to India and the Kingdom of Bhutan in a carry on bag only so I seriously appreciate the lightness of the shoe. And did I say its waterproof! We'll be hiking and walking so this shoe is everything I wanted. Very pleased

Bought these to hike in all kinds of weather since I am from the midwest and that's what we get. The quality looks good and the shoe is nicely form fitting for an average foot. I usually fit comfortably in a size 9 but I found these to run pretty small with nice hiking socks on. Not sure if I would fit in a 9.5 or10 honestly.

I almost kept this shoe but decided it just slipped too much on my heel especially for the price. I tried lacing differently but still had slippage. Too bad - sent it back. Oh - it does run 1/2 size too small,

The shoe was comfortable with the features I wanted. Unfortunately, the heel was too big and was slipping just wearing in the house. Also had some extra space in the toe box. Only has moderate arch support. Need strong arch support because of plantar fascitiitis.

Took a long time to break the shoe in and I had to suffer from shoe bites. But overall, the shoe is water resistant, keeps your feet warm (a little too warm for running) and does its job.

I really like this shoe, but I feel like it could be a little more comfortable. I'm on my feet all day at work, and these are great for my job because they're waterproof, but they're not great for standing and walking all day. They are waterproof which is why I bought them and it's pretty cool to walk through a puddle and not have to be wearing giant rain boots, so I also really like these for walking my dog. They do run small, but I felt like they still fit ok. I would purchase these again, but might add some comfort insoles to them.

These shoes seemed to get pretty good reviews, however I wore them twice to feel them out before taking them on a bigger hike, and was so glad I did because after just one mile of easy walking my feet were killing me. There was no cushion in the balls of the foot and no arch support. Not a fan at all. My roommate tried them as well and had the same complaints.
