I've waited to review the bag until I've used it for a while. This has become one of my favorite bags I've carried. The Jet Black Satic is a great grey color. The medium size is great for my 15 inch laptop. But the best thing about this bag is the handle. Even when the bag is not latched closed, picking it up by the handle still keeps the flap closed.

The closer Laptop Briefcase is better than anticipated. It holds more and looks great.

Great space, great size, great organization. Easy to carry, easy to connect to my suitcase. Will not buy any other bag going forward.

My wife absolutely loves her new Closer Laptop Briefcase. We originally ordered the medium and it was too big, we had no problems returning and re-ordering the smaller size. Great product, great company and amazing customer service.

I've been using the Closer for about 2 months as my daily bag for work. I purchased the large version. Overall it is a great bag and I would highly recommend it based on the following: -Style is classic. I can bring it to a meeting with clients or higher-ups and feel great about it. -Materials are rugged and it feels well made -Ample pockets and dividers -Great padded laptop sleeve that can be accessed without opening the front flap. 13" MacBook fits great. Things to know: -The shoulder strap is very slippery and the padded sleeve that goes on your shoulder allows it to slide right through which makes the bag feel unstable. This happens especially when carrying a full water bottle. -As many have noted, the water bottle sleeve is small. 21 oz. Hydroflask fits great, but you're not going to fit anything larger. -The closure snaps on the front of the bag are hard to close. Not sure if it is the metal/plastic combo or what, but that is a real usability complaint.

I am using the bag for the office, and all my stuff fits perfectly well.

It's the perfect size for my 13" laptop, iPad Pro and my sketch book. I can also fit a small camera and accessories. It really is water proof. It keeps its tailored square shape even when I'm carrying just one or two items. It has the right number of pockets and access points. The design of the bag helped me organize my stuff in a smarter way. Only complaint is that the water bottle pocket is a bit small. Not abig deal.

Using this as my daily work bag. Classy enough to look good in a suit but durable and water resistant. Excited to show it off

I bought the small bag, which is very compact--perhaps too much so for travel. But I love it for everyday. I have an older 13" laptop with dvd drive. It was too bulky to fit in the designated sleeve but fits in the body of the bag, which is ok with me. The bag is great looking.

I really like this bag. Looks professional and is not too heavy. I wish it had a few more pockets for small items but I would get this back again.

A 15 inch MacBook Pro with touch at fits perfectly and is great for carrying your laptop everyday. I am extremely happy with my purchase and the Jetblack is an excellent, classic color.

I use a messenger bag to carry my laptop at work. My old one (different brand) was wearing out, was looking for a replacement. Bought this one, very satisfied. The pocket for the water bottle, I use to carry my case for my glasses, no worries about the case falling out. Plenty of pockets, especially love the small pocket under the flap where I store my keys, my wallet, and my ID card for work. Just ordered a 2nd one to use in my normal day to day needs.

This product is a amazing! When I walked into the Portland store, was introduced to this product, it simply made sense. This bag is great for business, and the fabric is amazing. I purchased this bag as a gift to my boyfriend. The company was recommended to me by a coworker. The recipient is a total tech geek (he would not mind that description). He's an IT director and owner of his company so I wanted something that would hold up to daily use AND represent him well with clients in his professional environment. Every week since Christmas he has mentioned how perfect his bag is! It's lightweight but protects his MacBook. I was worried about the handle because he is 6'4 & has big hands. He has had zero issues with being able to handle the bag. It has pockets for his accessories and he can throw his wallet and car keys in there. So glad I chose Timbuk2 for this gift purchase!

I wanted a laptop bag with a handle and a water bottle. My previous bag, which was excellent and also by Timbukt2, was great but the irritation of not being able to pick-up by handle versus the bag straps grew over time. This mostly came as I needed the bag to transition from being my commute bag, that I strap to my back to also be the bag that I carried from one meeting to the next. I've only had the new bag for a few weeks, but it has been great. The handle is strong and works well for picking up of the floor, pulling the bag around from my back or just a secondary hold if I'm using a single shoulder. I love the layout of the bag. As weird as it was to not put my laptop inside what I consider the main casing of the bag, I now love that it's totally separate and won't accidentally fall out if I leave the bag open. The only downside of the cushioned laptop space is that its a tight fit for my 15" MacBook Pro. I've taken to wrapping a ribbon around my laptop before sliding it in. This allows me to pull it out with more ease. Trying to fit your hand in to grab it just further tightens the space. It would be nice to have the ribbon sewn into the bag. That said, I'm not certain if it would work as well if it was sewn in, since those ribbons to exert force at an angle, while my wrapped ribbon allows me to pull straight out. The number of pockets is a bit insane but highly valued. I love the little side, hidden pocket and use it for snacks, cough drops, etc. The centered front pocket handles my pens and Field Note notebooks. Which allows me to put books, files, and folders in the other two internal areas, and still have a large pocket for cables- HDMI, USB, converters, power, etc. It's a workhorse.

This bag is great for carrying my office things, and the side bag is a perfect size for my coffee thermos. Everything looks and feels high quality, with the exception of the velcro straps, they feel like an afterthought. I already have 2 bags from Timbuk2, and will probably keep adding to the collection.

Love all the pockets, epecially the easy access laptop compartment, and the secure cable for storing keys. The outside side pocket is perfect for holding my umbrella

Great lightweight bag with hold a lot of stuff. If you are organized you can fit shoes and gym clothes in with your laptop, iPad, phone and keys

I have had my Closer Case for about three weeks, and I'm absolutely in love with it. I used to have an old Timbuk2 Alchemist bag, but it was way too bulky and shapeless for my needs. As a high school teacher, I needed something big enough for a lesson plan book, my laptop, a novel, and a couple of necessities like Post-Its, a small notebook, some pens, and my laptop charger. This bag fits everything comfortably and still manages to look great! Timbuk2 has always been my go-to for bags, but this one really fits the bill for my lifestyle. I couldn't be more satisfied!

Highly recommend. The bag has a coating that keeps dirt off and is light & stylish. Water bottle Pocket is deeper than most. I am a loyal Timbuk2 user and enjoy their product line.

Normally I only consider a bag if it has a zipper, I tend to drop my bag a lot and I'm usually that person running for the bus, so I like the security a zipper provides. This bag does not have a zipper over the main compartment, though it does have an easy access zipped computer pouch and a zipper pocket on the inside. There is also a small zipper compartment with side access for keys, which is probably my favorite feature. I was pleasantly surprised that the construction of the bag provides a level of security I was not expecting and in all my running late, clumsy glory I haven't once felt like I was going to lose or drop anything! It has a thin shape, but I'm shocked at how much it holds and I LOVE the second strap that wraps around preventing the awkward thumping of the bag if I have to run for the bus. The closer case is a nice blend of a standard messenger bag and a computer case. Messenger bags usually don't provide much protection for computers and computer bags can barely fit my computer and charger let alone a water bottle. This bag allows for a stylish mix of the two and the easy access pocket for the computer is a definite plus! The only downside I've found in my two weeks of using the closer case is that the water bottle pocket on the outside doesn't fit my stainless steel water bottle (it easily fits a standard plastic bottle though), but I don't mind leaving that in the main compartment (since it's nowhere near my computer) and I use the pocket for my umbrella. And I would have loved a second small side access zippered pocket on the other side of the bag since I carry my bag opposite of most people. All considered though, this bag is AMAZING and I am so glad that I got to try something outside my norm!

You know what it takes to carry all your things everyday? Bags! Well made bags.... This bag is perfect for the modern business hustler. A luggage pass through that doubles as a slash pocket for deal documents. Velcro silencers integrated in the bag to make openings silent, even in a crowded board room. Rear zipper access to a padded, suspended laptop compartment that doesn't give away the main compartment contents. Sadly there is no pen organizer area so you will have to produce the pen out of another pocket to make them sign on the line that is dotted. Inside main compartment has a zippered back pocket for storing sensitive documents, like closed deal contracts and background checks. Attached to the back wall are two slash pockets; one is tablet or planner sized, the other is smartphone or PDA sized. On the outside, there are three pockets. Two slash pockets, smaller one for quick access to business cards or the Glengarry leads, the larger one for ready to sign documents and advertisement folders for Florida oceanfront properties. The third pocket is the Timbuk2 classic napoleon zip pocket that comes with a key keeper for a set of keys to a Cadillac Eldorado. So next time someone tells you that "coffee's for closers only!", pick up this bag and pour yourself a cup.
