This bag was wonderful for my international flight. It worked well as my carryon and had enough room for all my essentials I needed close to me.

We travel a lot on weekend road trips and also travel a lot by air. I got the medium sized quest duffel bag in black. I couldn't be happier when I saw this new bag. It is not only sturdy but very classy and stylish. It is strongly made & rugged. The bag is made with high grade material. The bag is good size for a weekend trip or as a cabin baggage for air travel. It has 3 pockets of different sizes on the outside of the bag which can hold shoes & other toiletries and has 2 mesh wall pockets on the inside. It can accommodate good amount of stuff. Zippers and wheels are of great quality and runs smooth. I loved the feature that it can be used as a rolling duffel or wear it as a backpack or carried in hand by handle straps. And the roller handle can be hidden inside by zipping up when not required. With the quality material, I can assure it is going to be my long time partner. I would highly recommend this bag.

My favorite luggage so far. This was my luggage option for our honeymoon (2+ weeks) while my now wife picked a top of the line version from Samsonite. This duffel came out better and stronger than the other comparison luggage. It stands, rolls perfectly (regardless of the weight), great space and sections. Best of all, it has room to expand. Some airlines allowed us to use it as carry-on; others asked to check it in.

I have received a Quest rolling duffel, and it was my first time every knowing about this duffel bag. I travel a lot in use other different types of bags, but I like this quest rolling duffel bag a lot more than some of the other .It has a lot more space and department that I need. I think I want to buy another one for my shoes .This duffel bag is much easier to roll around. It isn't too heavy for me.It's easy to storage under my bed or in my closet . Sometimes my sister and I like to go on trips together in I know this would be a wonderful duffel bag for her . I recommended this to my sister and friends.

I received this bag as a replacement to an old one that I submitted for fixing. Can I just say that TimBuk2 has the BEST customer service?! I gave them my bag before the 2019 holiday season (not expecting it back until after d/t the holiday rush), & they kept in touch & kept me informed on what was happening throughout the 2019 holiday season & through the initial March 2020 COVID California lockdown period. In the end, my bag wasn't fixable (I had the Aviator Wheeled pack-I LOVED it), but they offered to send me this bag. When I received it, I could tell that it would function just like my last bag (with a couple more zip pockets added!). Granted, I haven't been able to use it to travel bc of COVID, but, nonetheless, am impressed with this comparable replacement & super impressed with the customer service. TimBuk2 user for life!

I have been looking a long time for a bag like this. It is super well constructed, stands on its own without falling over and durable. It can be used as a carry on as the handle is hidden and lower on the back with a zipper to hide it so it can seem 3 inches shorter than it can expand to be. The extra pockets are positioned right. The top quick grab pocket, "shoe" pocket and padded laptop pocket are great to have when you just want one bag travel and put in a day pack and packing cubes. It can hold a surprising 48 liters of stuff when needed and cinched down when not and only weighs 5 pounds empty. Most other bags are 7-8 pounds. The material is water shedding, but I have not submersed it but it will do good in the rain. The strap can double as a backpack straps if needed - but for me they would need to be a bit wider to fit me, so I doubt I will use it too much as a backpack but in a pinch it is great to have that option and the way it straps the wheels would not be on your back to get your clothes dirty. It is a roller with good wheels. I like the top U opening and quality zippers. If you pack it correctly most airlines will not give you problems with it as a carry on. It is technically 23.5" tall but can look smaller as the handle is lower. The only thing I would have liked is an Orange inner liner to see things easier. with the all black things can hide. Great bag!

This duffel was a gift for my husband. I found the description was very informative and helpful. Easy to narrow down my choices for which one to purchase. The duffel was shipped and delivered in a timely manner. He LOVES it. Perfect size and just enough compartments for other things.

I used this product daily. When I went to the gym I used it as my gym duffel. When I was carrying my kids belongings for trips I used it. Everywhere I went I brought it. The wheels are great to have they never great stuck! Which I' ve had issues with in the past with other products. It's lightweight yet durable.

This bag is so nice! Very lightweight and has a lot of compartments for various items. I was very impressed with how well it glides - quiet, seamless and wheely! This is also small enough to be considered a carry on bag and is perfect for any type of trip; short or long.

I was not aware of this particular brand before, now I don't think there is another brand that I would even consider! The quest rolling duffel is light weight, TONS of pockets for storage. And what I really liked was that the handle can be hidden. It blends seenlessly into the bag. I found that my frame was small enough to even utilize this duffle as a backpack. Which came in super handy. The hockey arena where my son plays gets extremely crowded and when your going up the stairs to get to the arena, the staircase is filled with people both up and down which makes pulling your bag behind you a bit hard. So being able to use the duffle as a backpack was a pleasant surprise. Let me clarify that I did not use the duffle for my son's hockey equipment. I used it for his changes of clothes, extra shoes, snacks and our personal belongings. And there was a ton of extra room! The quest duffle is truly spacious and convenient. My husband and I also just recently got back from a weekend getaway in which we used the duffle to pack for our trip in. The shoulder strap was nice and soft and provided comfort. The strap was not like other brands straps that, inconveniently dig into your shoulder and cause a bit of pain. With packing 2 days worth of clothes for both my husband and myself coupled with toiletries, extra shoes and things like our phone chargers I was amazed to find that not only was the duffle more than adequate but I had loads of extra room in the duffle! Which I absolutely loved! We were able to store our souvenirs in our bag for our return trip home. All the little extra pockets are amazing and so convenient. When we used the handle and roller feature again we were very happy with the ease of engaging the handle and how well the duffle reacted on its wheels. It was extremely easy to pull behind us and just maneuver in general. Overall, I'm thrilled with my Quest rolling duffle. If you are considering this product, I say go for it! You will not regret it!

I got this product as a sample and am loving it so far!! Lightweight. Looks like a duffle, yet upscale enough that I can use it for business travel. Lots of handles and wheels make it easy to get through the airport however you need to travel.

This bag is perfect for the no-nonsense traveler who moves from point A to point B quickly... a quick business trip or a weekend away. It also is ideal for heavy sports equipment where it may be easier for a youth to roll a bag as opposed to always carrying their heavy pads and helmet (hockey, lacrosse, football). The separate large pockets are perfect for the men in my life, but the only thing I'd change for myself is to additionally have one or two interior pockets as well to help me keep accessories organized while traveling.

I used this for a weekend getaway, but I'm an over-packer and this fit everything I needed. It's compact but fits a lot. The material is very high quality so even when I'm struggling to zip it it doesn't feel like anything is going to rip. Would recommend!

This bag fits just as much, if not more than my regular hard-shell carry-on. The quality of the bag is really nice. I love that you can use it as a rolling bag as well as a regular duffel bag that you can carry. I will definitely be giving away my carry-on bag as I will be using this exclusively.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my "young professional" son. He loved it. Good size, lightweight and he really liked the option of carrying it as a backpack. Home run on this gift!

This is a very well made and super-spacious bag. It rolls smoothly, and has handles at or towards each end for easy grabbing. It has a separate roomy zip compartment at the top, in case you are rolling through the airport and need to grab something easily and quickly, such as your toiletry bag in the TSA line. The cons of the bag are; if you want to use it as a backpack, you may need to be the right size and have the right physical frame to do that. I was thinking that maybe this bag had hidden backpack straps, but you are supposed to use the carrying straps as backpack straps. My husband is a bit bulky and broad-shouldered, so it didn't fit comfortably on him, and I unfortunately had to send it back. It would most likely be considered carry-on for airlines like Southwest or JetBlue, but many other airlines have become stricter with their carry-on sizing, so I'm not sure if it would work, but hopefully it would. This bag has lots of room, is very nice looking, and if you have the right physical frame to use it for a backpack, or only want to use it as a wheelie bag, then I would recommend it.

This Timbuk2 Quest Rolling Duffel is pretty slick. It has a variety of pockets and sections/pockets that may be used to separate shoes or toiletries or a lunch. If you don't fill it up, you can cinch it tighter with straps on the sides. If you do fill it, the straps help support the sides of this soft sided bag. It is not all soft sided though. The part I like the best is that the base has a plastic piece to avoid scrapes near the wheels and a bumper or plastic rest on the other side so that the actual bag never touches the ground when it is in an upright position. I think this is great in my wet climate as well as the material that sheds water. Furthermore, no matter how you lay it down, there is a handle you can grab, 6 actually, to scoot it or lift it or push it. The two strap, main handle has a snap to keep the handles from dragging while being wheeled. The wheels move really well and the handle to pull it seems to be a very comfortable length. It is a great size for a carry-on bag for a weekend trip or a efficient packer. I like to use it to bring teaching materials, books, notebooks, computer, as well as lunch since it has the space and is easy to roll. The bag is sturdy so it does have some weight to it. Rolling the bag is easy, but if you need to use a another handle to lift it, it will be heavy if full. The black color is modern and stylish and hides scuffs and dirt. Plus it can be wiped off with a damp rag.

I took this out for it's first flight. Once I got to the airport I tried to extend the hidden handle to convert to a roller. The handle was stuck. I pushed the release button and pulled as hard as I could (trying not to break it), with no luck. After 5 minutes of trying everything, I got Frustrated and carried it duffel-style through the terminal. I had very sore forearms afterward. I'll be returning it for what looks like bad quality control.

The smaller of the two sizes is just right for a 2-3 day trip. The telescoping handle is a good length and zips away when not needed. The "floating pocket" for shoes or dopp kit mentioned in the product description is accessible from the exterior, which is a feature I've appreciated in other bags like the Wingman and Co-Pilot roller. The external zip pocket on the flap is padded and happened to fit my 13" laptop easily; although not marketed as a laptop compartment, it could be temporarily used as one in a pinch. The grab handles around the perimeter make it easy to heft either from an overhead compartment or car trunk, but the primary duffel straps are pretty long and cannot be detached or stowed. All in all, the smaller of the two sizes makes a decent option for a short trip.

Let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of Timbuk2. I own multiple backpacks and love them all. However, this duffel is a letdown. When I travel, I always pack carry on bags or my backpack. I thought this bag would be a perfect middle ground. When it arrived the bag was larger than I expected but the inside was much smaller than the exterior. The hidden handle is extremely difficult to pull out of the bag. It is on the opposite side of the zipper that releases it and it's very hard to get it out of the actual bag. In addition to that, it does not extend far enough. I am 5'7 and would never be able to walk and pull this at the same time without crouching down 2 feet. I tried to wear it as a backpack as shown in the photos but the straps slide off making it uneasy to carry. I really wanted to love this duffel but I have to admit that I would not recommend this to a friend.
