The toe-box of this model is at least a quarter-inch narrower than the pair of Sorel boots I owned 29-years ago. The toe-box of today's model is not so narrow that it hurt my feet, but was too narrow, so as to be 'not comfortable'; restricting and cramping my toes from spreading out just enough to not be comfortable. The upper is stiff; not painfully stiff, but makes the boot clunky to walk in and not comfortable to walk in. The sole of the boot is flexible up to the heel, which is good. I bought these boots for the snow. I did not test them in the snow or rain, because I am returning them. The guys running the Sorel company are putting fashion-look ahead of function by narrowing the toe-box. A boot needs to flex easily at the ankle to be comfortable when walking. This model with rubber up half the upper needs a very flexible; almost flimsy other half of the upper in order to flex at the ankle. I have been buying tennis-shoes with a wide toe-box; the Altra brand and other brands in 4E; double-wide. So most people will find the width of the toe-box of these Sorel boots to be normal. I wanted wide in the toes; the way Sorel's used to be.

I’m a woman who wanted these as an alternative to the Women’s Slimpacs. The Cheyannes are WAY more comfortable and better suited for my orthotics. Cozy warm. Unlike the Slimpac, the shaft of this boot doesn’t dig into my lower calf or feel like I’m walking on a brick. Awesome boots for sure!

WOW these boots are SO comfy. They’re my go to boots for the cold Buffalo winter, super warm and comfy. They don’t have great arch support, but given that they’re snow boots it’s not really needed. I love that they look stylish with any outfit even though they are quite functional.

The boots look fantastic. They’re stout as can be, and I have no doubt they’ll stand up to years of abuse. The rubber is extremely tough, but not stiff, and the suede material looks great. I also like the two-tone laces. They’re rated for -27° Fahrenheit, so surely they’ll keep my feet warm in any conditions I may encounter in an Oklahoma winter and more, as they’re incredibly warm with wool socks. Zappos did a fantastic job with my (free!) returns and helped me with any questions I had, and even price matched my second pair with the first pair, which I bought on clearance. My only complaints are regarding the sizing. I’m a pretty true 11, sometimes a 10.5 in boots. My foot is a bit narrow, but I had to order a 12, and they could still fit better. It seems like the back of the boot should be brought forward a bit, because my feet seem to spend more time against the toe box than the back. Basically, my foot sits farther forward in the boot than I expected. They’re still great for the clearance price I got.

I typically wear Red Wing work boots all winter but decided this year that I needed to get some decent looking winter boots. These keep my feet warm with one pair of socks and also look good if you're going anywhere in public. They're also pretty rugged so far and hold up during outside work. Just make sure to go a size up.

Purchased this to replace a well-worn pair of Sorel duck boots. A taller shaft height makes it more available for both snow and rain. My only complaint was the sizing guide, which placed me at a solid 10.5, although the Sorels I replaced were size 10. I purchased the 10, but that was a full size too low. The exchange went smoothly, but it was still a $12 addition to the sale price by the time it was complete.

Sorel's sizing is so wacky. The measuring table had my foot (27cm exactly) at a size 9. I have a pretty average foot for my 6' height. Not too wide or long or big or small in any way. I'm usually a 10 or 10.5 in shoes depending on brand so size 9 struck me as odd. Luckily there was a store near me that sold this boot so I can try them on for size. Not only was a size 9 not anywheres correct, but neither was was a 10. Both were way too small lengthwise. My toes jammed up against the front of the boot. The next size up the store had was 12 so I tried it on and it was just too big in both length and width. My foot was swimming in it and I looked like a clown. From this I concluded that I must be an 11 so I went home and ordered an 11. They came in today and low and behold, my toes hit the front of these too! I give up on Sorel. I will be returning these and I will look elsewhere for duck boots. I also will not be shopping or recommending this brand to anyone. Sorel, fix your fit and definitely fix your sizing table. It's WAY off

I'm pretty disappointed to say that they are not that durable and having wet cold toes by the end of a walk or trip to the grocery is extremely unpleasant. I've had these boots for 2 years only using them during the winter in a melted slush Colorado application walking the dog or running errands. 2 stars only because they are perfectly warm when they aren't letting in water.

Warm & waterproof! I wear a size 10.5 & ended up ordering a 11.5. Fit fine after sizing up.

I'm a size 12.5 and the size 13s fit perfectly. Exceptionally waterproof, comfortable, and quick drying. I never have to worry about my feet in the snow with these!

I just received my boots today. I must admit wearing and buying a size 11 was a snug fit. Maybe I will buy a size up next time. However, they broke in fairly quick. I am very pleased.

I got this for my husband's birthday and ordered size 1 1/2 up. When I received them, thought they are too big but they fit perfectly. He said they are very warm and comfortable.

They are comfortable boots but definitely run small. I am typically a size 9 and had to return the first order for a size 10.

I just bought a 2nd pair. The pair I bought two years ago are holding up GREAT but look worn. I'm hard on them around our 350 acre farm. Now I have a brand new pair to go to the farm store and my old pair for mud and snow!! I do wear Dr Scholes insoles in them for added padding. In the winter I wear "Hotties" wool insoles for extra warmth.

I have bought Sorel footwear for years due to consistent fit and quality. Once again, Sorel has fit my needs! I needed a boot to wear out around our place in the woods. The Cheyanne II is the perfect boot for all types of wear: snow, rain, and mud. If you are looking for a boot that remains comfortable all day, whether you are in snow or soggy ground, look no further.

Great boot, but runs really small! Had to size up one whole size and was still a bit snug, but seems to stretch out.

I original bought these in an 11.5, typically wearing an 11, sometimes a 11.5 but rarely if ever to memory a 12. In these I had to go with a 12. They are typical, perhaps a little longer to break in, especially on the chin area inside upper tongue fold; but they will break in. The caution is sizing, run crazy small... Killer all purpose warm boot for the money!
