Nice shoe but they fit a bit short and narrow, not as grippy on ice as I was hoping.

The shoes definitely keep your feet warm and the grip is great. Don't find them to be wide though.

I love these mocs for the easy shoe in the winter. Wear them all the time to go somewhere quickly or even to sporting events. I've had several versions of these same shoes for near on decades. But as I'm again, I find that I can no longer go on a casual walk with them as I slip. The pavement or path has to be completely clear of ice for these shoes to really work. Yesterday, snow covered ice brought me down hard. I finally had to admit that these Merrell mocs should not be worn beyond the quick trips on clear paths. Sad as the support, warmth and waterproof features are excellent. I have to replace them, as I'm not getting any younger. I'm confused because I have Bogs winters boots that have more traction than these.

I have thin size 5.5 feet. I have been buying merrell for work for about a decade. This is the first time this size feels super tight. I would recommend a wide shoe for regular feet and don't bother getting this if you have wide feet. Can't take them off at work, but they feel like they are cutting off circulation around cuneiform bones. Too much padding added to the shoe I guess.

I found the tag enclosed with the shoes intimidating as it warns not to wear them on indoor surfaces, that the soles are designed for use on "wet ice". Having not yet encountered that situation, I have yet to wear them.

Good traction. Order a size up in width. I'm always an 8.5M, but in these I am an 8.5W. My old pair (my 2nd pair) started to leak soon after I bought them. My 1st pair never leaked, so I'm hoping these won't either.

Very comfortable shoe! I’m a delivery driver and I’m constantly walking in all sorts of terrain. My only complaint is they didn’t hold up very long.

This used to be my go-to for winter wear. This year they extended the instep/tongue of the moc so it's way too hard to get my wide foot into the shoe, and I bought wide. Too bad. Not sure what I'll do now.

I've worn Jungle Mocs year round since 2015 but I didn't notice I'd worn the grip off and fell on ice. I bought these thinking they'd deliver a better grip than even a new Jungle Moc but I've slipped a few times this winter, despite barely going out, and the heels are quite low, in fact, so low that my right heel has slipped out. They're warm and keep me dry but I thought the Arctic ice grip would work better than the regular Jungle Mac grip.

Helps with icy surfaces - but be careful - I still have slipped. Comfy /warm /slip ons!

Well I have several pairs of Merrell mocs and wanted a pair that would help me with my daily walks on ice and snow and since these cold pack and ice claim to help in these conditions I ordered them, but to my great disappointment they didn't have any more grip than my regular Merrell Mocs. Very disappointing.

I first bought these shoes several years ago and at that time, only medium width was available; I went up a size in order to have room in the toe box, but they were still rather uncomfortable. So I was happy when I saw the same shoe finally available in wide width. Unfortunately it's still not very much wider in the toe box, but I continue to wear them in winter weather because of the positive attributes of being waterproof and providing traction on ice.
I'd also recommend:
Altra for its "footshape" toe box

I needed warm winter slip ons, with grip--so far so good! But I'd recommend sizing up. Size guidelines said to order usual size (9.5). These fit only with the thinnest sock; possibly 10 would be too big (and out of stock anyway by the time these arrived). Hence also just on the edge of being not warm enough. Still, comfortable, and I think they'll be good too for mud season.

I have had these shoes in 8W & they are great - on snow, ice and in rain. I like them so much I have an "extra" spare pair, but have been searching for them in another color for some time. I decided to try them in 8M, brown, but alas, even though the style is wider in front, the medium width is too tight (I have a bunion on one foot). Cannot wear them even with a thin sock. Too bad, it's a great shoe but I'm getting tired of black ones.

I bought these to walk in snow and ice. I had a similar pair of Merrells and my toes would get freezing in them. Bought these a size up, 2 pairs of socks and still my feet get cold. This isn't a common problem for me. These need better insulation. Period. Otherwise they fit great and have great grip

I bought it to prevent slipping on ice. But it does slip on ice when you're walking. It's a good slip on.

I wanted to love these and now that I've had them a month or more I find them to be just a tad wrong for my foot. I was ok with the extremely stiff footbed and the lack of insulation. These were meant to be used in sloppy parking lots and out running in the winter slop. But after 30 min of walking in them, my feet are screaming. The arch sits just a tad to far back toward my heel. Extremely painful. If the arch were a squish more forward they would be excellent for what I need. As they are... they must be replaced. Far too much pain.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I live in them for half the year as I live in Northern New England. They are really my go to shoes, warm and good soles for the ice. But, on both pairs the toe seam has come apart.

I bought these but had to return them. Quality is great and width was fine but these cut into my ankle in front above the arch. If 1 cm shorter they would have been perfect. Good sole. Disappointed.

I wear a narrow and was happy this stayed on my foot. They work better than most for icy conditions but don’t be fooled, they are not super powered. After two pairs and years of wear, I realize they are not as warm as I need them to be. Still searching for something warmer and a bit less menswear looking.

I was hoping that these would fit the same as Merrill's Icepack Guide Moc Polar Waterproof. Unfortunately, they were not nearly as comfortable. They were a tad narrower and there was not as much arch support.

They were comfortable right out of the box and looked great. I ended up returning them in favor of a lace-up pair of shoes. These felt snug and hard to pull on with the basic thin athletic socks I was wearing so I didn't even try a thicker pair of wool hiking socks. I need the versatility of laces. If I was looking for a handsome pair of walking shoes for treacherous conditions, these would've worked fine. But for the wide variety of hiking trails and seasons I need use them in, they weren't enough.

Great shoe until the upper rubber ripped on both shoes.

So many great features, but the wide size is way too narrow. Felt like it would have great arch support if it wasn't pinching on the sides.
