Unlike other reviewers of this rain boot, but consistent with reviewers of other Sorel boots, I sized up. I typically wear an 8.5, sometimes an 8 in dress shoes and rarely a 9. However, in this boot, I chose the 9.
When people say the boot runs "wide," they are not explaining carefully enough. Like many Sorel boots, the toe area is actually very narrow. My toes, in the 8.5, were at the edge. In rain boots, you generally need to wear socks, and if you plan on wearing these in the snow/cold, you'll need thick socks.
Another issue is one for women with high arches, which I have. Wedges position the foot at an angle, and in them, women with high arches will feel the top of the foot hitting the shoe. Wearing thin socks, this was annoying me and cutting off my circulation.
These boots are wide, but not all-around. They are annoyingly wide in the middle and heel areas.
I sized up because I knew that I could more easily fix the heel width by inserting a back-of-heel cushion than I could the tightness/narrowness at the heel.
These boots are so awesome, even with the issues. I got so many stares and compliments the first day I wore them!

Super stylish rain boot. First day wearing I walked all over Sac State and had no issues, they were actually very comfortable. The wedge is a perfect height, gives just the right about of boost. Also received quite a few compliments which is always nice. This is my first pair of Sorel’s and I will definitely be purchasing more!

These boots are great! I got them in blue and they are a great color. They are true to size and are much more comfortable than I expected. They give me some height and are so stylish compared to other versions of wedge rain boots I have seen. The first time I wore them out in the rain, a man stopped me on the street and asked me where I got them because he wanted to get a pair for his wife. I told him Zappos! Of course.

Great boots. Looking forward to owning many more. This is my second pair. The rain boots like this do tend to run about a 1/2 size bigger, all other types are true to size. You won't regret buying!

These boots are the most amazing boots I own to date. I recently developed Raynaud's Syndrome and suffer from extreme coldness in my fingers, hands and feet. These boots not only provide the warmth and comfort that I so desperately need right now, but they are so fashionable. I would recommend these to anyone. I would buy another pair if I thought it was not excessive.

I bought these boots in two sizes my normal size (8) and a half size up because I wasn't sure. The size 8 fit me, but was a little more snug than I wanted so they took some time to get off and on, on the other hand the 8.5 fit PERFECT! I ended up keeping the half size up because it was easier to slip on and off. Let me tell you though, these boots are AMAZING. I have worn them every day since I got them and my feet haven't hurt at all. The other day I wore them walking around the mall and had them on for 12 hours, and my feet felt like they were on clouds. I own multiple pairs of Sorel shoes and boots and these are my favorite by far, which is saying something because I love every pair I have. These are fashionable, fun, comfy, extremely well made (my foot doesn't sweat due to the make of the shoe), durable and easy to wear all day. I am very happy I snagged these in black before they sold out and I am contemplating purchasing them in green as well. WELL DONE SOREL!

It's winter in Colorado where, yes there's snow (in the mountains, but down in Denver, it's much wetter. Needed something cute to keep my feet dry. And these were a perfect choice! Seriously, so cute! These boots get so much attention. They are comfortable, well-made and true to size. Home run, Sorel!

I have a pair of high rain boots that get too warm /cumbersome to wear all day at work so I finally splurged on these on the black Friday deal after eyeballing my sister's similar pair. I love the! Hoping for New England rain ( not snow!) I usually wear a 10 but based on sisters recommendation went for9.5

I love these boots. They are high wedges which I wanted height, but with a platform so you dont feel pain, only comfort. The traction on the bottom is excellent. They are all manmade so rain and snow resistant/proof, but their is mesh inside and your foot seems to breath. They are super cushiony and comfortable. I must tell you that the rubber top boot by your shins can be rough so you should wear pants or socks or something cushiony in that area. At first I thought I'd return but but after I wore w jeans and socks they were tooo comfortable to return. They are easy on and off although with thicker sock they need a little tug.
And the design on the back heel thats ribbed and the small sorel name both makes them look chic.

This is my second pair of Sorel and I am still in love with the quality of the product. This boot feels a little bit loose but with thicker socks they did the trick. They are extremely comfortable and I could walk in them all day.

I debated over purchasing these boots for a while since it snows more then rains where I'm live but I couldn't get over how nice they looked. As soon as I got them, I was kicking myself for not buying them sooner! They keep my feet much more warmer then I expected and they go with everything!
