I’m female with flat feet and wide toes. This has a substantial toe box. Looks like a bulky sneaker. So comfy this brand for females doesn’t come wide enough. Love the stability and motion control. Energizing.

I love these shoes. Comfortable. Waterproof. Stylish enough to double as casual footwear on vacation. Last summer I hiked the Canadian Rockies in them. Last fall I walked more than 150 miles through the streets of five major cities in Spain. And in between I walked the streets of San Francisco as well as the coastal and mountain trails near my home. I finally wore them out so they are now retired to "yard shoe" status and I just purchased a new pair.

The fit and size are true, but I needed to order up a half size to get the width I needed (originally ordered 10W and returned for 10.5W). Shoes looked good and I wanted to keep them, however after walking on them around the house for a little while I noticed a small bump/ridge under my left heel. The heel configuration on the shoe's sole just hit me in the wrong place. Tried 2 pairs and this happened both times, so I returned both pairs of shoes. Customer service reps were great on the phone helping me out! Since each person is different this may not happen to you and I have other Merrell shoes that fit me fine. So I say try them out and see for yourself.

It was fine quality is poor Heel cup is worn through within six months and seems on one of the shoes split about two months ago after about 10 months

I found these at a store but they did not have my size so I had Zappos send me 2 sizes so I could compare. I chose the larger. Very happy with these for my upcoming London/Ireland tour.

The shoes were ok. Less than a year in and the heel lining is worn through on both pairs that I purchased. Left heel is worse so partial blame to my feet. One pair has a split seam from moderate usage. I will not purchase these again.

Fit right out of the box. Very comfortable. Have taken them out in the rain and do appear to be waterproof. Can’t go wrong with Merrill.

These shoes are for my work. They fit well and are perfectly comfortable. Waterproof and sturdy. These are my second pair - after two years of constant use they seams on the side have split. Unfortunately my job has now been eliminated because of COVID, so I'm returning these brand new pair.

Love, love, love these shoes! The closest I could find to an old pair of Merrells that they don't make anymore, but they are just as great!

Review update: Laces are the round nylon? kind that won't stay tied. Annoying. Bad choice, Merrill.

This would be my perfect dream shoe if not for one thing: the heel. I don't understand how no one noticed this problem when they were making the shoe, but the heel is extremely disproportionately high compared to the rest of the shoe, and feels odd, as if there's some kind of large lump under them. This is a problem with the shoe itself and not the removable insert. This problem changes the way I walk and causes significant pain in my feet, legs, and back. I'm not the only reviewer here who's noticed an issue with the heel.

These are almost everything they are advertised to be. Comfortable, lightweight and a more stylish than 90% of the hiking shoes available. So all that fit the bill and expectations. Where these shoes fall down is with respect to the claim that they are waterproof, which they are clearly not. My feet got wet simply walking the dogs on the nearby golf course with the grass laden with a heavy dew. So, i guess i will try again to find a decent looking pair of waterproof hikers with Gortex.

Disintegrated after one year.

Terrible waterproofing. These are my third pair of waterproof shoes from Merrell, and this is second one that has had noticeable problems with the waterproofing after I started using them. The first pair worked for a while but then had problems but these and the second pair had problems the first day of use. At this point there leaking almost as bad as my first pair that I wanted to replace. As for comfort there alright, there probably average in comfort for a waterproof shoe, and the style didn't seem that bad, but how fashionable do you expect a pair of water proof shoes to be? If you planning on using these shoes for a job where they're going to be exposed to a lot of water, please don't buy these shoes find another brand. I don't want to sound to harsh, but this is ridiculous that Merrell is selling water proof shoes that don't resist water.
