Buyer Beware After trying on several pairs of heavier Sorel snow boots, I found these. I absolutely love the style but after reading review after review here and on the Sorel site that the fake wood comes off of the heel, the rubber cracks and the laces barely last a month without ripping, I have decided to return them. Sorel only guarantees them for a year and so many people got stuck with boots less than two years old that fell apart. The pair I got had a spot on the heel where the fake wood was already starting to separate. I won't spend that much money with a company with such poor customer service and poor quality. I ended up buying a similar pair from Lands End because they unconditionally guarantee their products and they were a third of the price. Also these are not meant for extreme cold.

I was hesitant to buy these based on some of the other reviews, but I absolutely love them! They are comfy and keep me warm and dry. I am 5'10" and wear a size 11. These fit perfectly. Haven't needed to adjust the laces at all but you could make them more loose or tighter depending on your calf size. So far I've been wearing them to the bus stop, soccer games, and to run errands around town. For 30% off I'd say go ahead and buy them, zappos is always great with their return policy if you aren't as happy as I am!

Got these for my wife. She loves the style. Not as warm as you would hope from a winter boat, she has to wear really thick socks to keep her feet warm. The laces broke on the second time she wore the boots and I had to replace those. Still a decent purchase because of how much she likes the style, but strange decisions by Sorel on the lack of insulation and weak laces.

Design wise these shoes are freaking amazing. I am so sad they don't fit. I have tiny feet and normal muscular calf size and they are just too tight in the calf. I thought with the laces I could make it work, but the inside liner is restrictive; they don't open up in the lace area as you might expect from the picture. Very disappointed I cannot make these work because they are super cute.

These are a little misleading when buying on line. They look like a heavy winter boot but they are more of a spring/fall season then winter. Not much insulation for winter. Returned these because my size is a true 12. These felt like an 11.5.

I desperately wanted to like these boots. I can't find a similar style with any other brand. Sadly I think Sorel's quality seems to drop drastically with every passing year. What is suppose to be leather on the boots, looks, feels and smells just like plastic. The rest of the boot looks like it won't last a year. I currently own the Sorel Slimpack boots and the faux wood heels started peeling after one year, revealing a hallow plastic heel. I just love the style of the Conquest so I was willing to give Sorel another try. These boots are even lower quality and I don't believe them to be leather. Cheap, made in China boots. There was even a large sticker on the inside of the boot with all Chinese writing. Not sure if they forgot to remove it. These almost look like what a knock off version would be. Very disappointed :(

Got Joan of arctic and these. "Joan" too bulky and either too small or large and bulky. At first I loved the conquest Carley II. The right boot has bruised the top of my foot where the rubber meets the laces-there is a hard seem that hurts. pay attention to the other review that commented on the same-spot on unless just ours are defective. Zappos as usual has awesome customer service and offered to send me another pair with a discount. i decided to cancel the order because I'm in so much pain.

I'm normally a 9.5 with other sorely boots. This boot I needed a 1/2 size larger. Love them!

Absolutely love these boots! My first pair of Sorel's and I couldn't be happier. They are so cute with leggings and just about any sweater. Treat yo'self!

Love these boots. Not “winter” boots for extreme conditions, but cute and stylish for those running errands. The only thing I wish was different was how hard to put them on/take off, otherwise very cute!

Gorgeous boots for every day winter. Not the warmest but perfect for every day running errands and not wanting to wear giant snow boots. I ordered a half size bigger still too small, I'm returning for a full size.

Buy these! Super comfy right out of the box, and super-sharp with jeans or ski pants. Since the quality of The North Face’s products, IMO, have gone drastically downhill, I decided to try these Sorel’s. LOVE! They have a new fan in me.

These are definitely waterproof. I parked over an icy puddle and had no choice but to wade through - my feet remained warm and dry. Not sufficiently insulated to just stand around in snow, though. Good traction. The laces will need replacing sooner rather than later. I did size up one full size in order to wear with thick socks.
