I received these boots yesterday and was very excited but unfortunately will be returning. I loved the look of these boots both online and in person but the sizing didn't work out. I ordered a 7 which is only slightly larger than my normal size of 6.5 knowing that I would probably be wearing slightly thicker socks since they're boots. While the 7 would have fit as far as the footbed these boots are extremely hard to get on and off, even without socks, which turned out to be a bad idea as there is a seam that runs alongside the inside of the boot that scraped the top of my foot. There is zero stretch to the body of these and while they might give a little over time I didn't want to run the risk of being wrong.

These boots are one for the win. Comfortable true to size. Had to shimmy on a bit but I have a wide foot and the fit with wiggle room. Heading to NYC soon so I’ll let you know if they really are warm and waterproof.

I love these boots! I typically wear a size 7 in most of my Sorels in addition to 99% of the other boots and shoes I wear, however, I chose a 7.5 in these. The 7 fit fine (I ordered both sizes to compare) but only with an average thin sock. I have cold feet and wanted to wear thicker socks. Definitely listen to the other reviewers and order 1/2 size up. End note: I didn’t think it was a huge struggle to get them on like some others have said. They are super comfortable with a slightly padded footbed, and I can’t wait to wear them to work!

After reading the reviews, I ordered these boots in a half size up (8.5). When I first went to put them on, I had the same experience as many other reviewers of not being able to get the boots over my arch and almost cutting myself on what I thought was a large seam. However, there is an extra cardboard piece stuck way under the arch of the boot that is really packed in there. If you reach in all the way, you will feel it and need to pull it out. Once I got the boots on, they were actually a half size too big. I own one other pair of Sorel boots in a size 8 and have just reordered these in that same size. The quality of the boot and the construction seem very high quality and I expect they will last a few years based on my experience with another pair from Sorel. Although I haven't worn them on the street, I am hoping that they are great for walking around the city in all types of autumn weather. I have attached a photo of the boot in the redwood color and a photo of all of the cardboard pieces inside the boot.

I love this boot. I purchased for practical use and style. They are great for both reasons. They do fit more snug then the average boot but not terrible. I've enjoyed them so far.

I ordered these boots in brick based on the reputation of Sorel and the other reviews. However, due to the design and my high arch I was not able to get them on my foot. Consequently, I cannot comment on comfort or sizing. I gave one star for comfort because Zappos review required something. I gave 2 stars for over all ebcause I like the look of the boots. I think are good looking, simple and stylish. I like the color. They appear to be well made and are light weight with a good tread. Unfortunately, if you have a high arch...don't bother. Sadly, they go back tomorrow.

Beware these boots are not red at all as the name 'redwood' and pics would imply. More like football color. Love the boots, hated the color so returned.

I’m so disappointed and mad about these boots. I have a lot of Sorel’s and absolutely love them. I had to get these in a crunch and then wore them to a barn so I couldn’t return them. These are IMPOSSIBLE to get on. Every time I spend at least 5+ minutes trying to get them on and then when on they are not comfortable. They’re cute, but that’s IT. I wish I could have returned them. Now I just threw away the money.

I bought this boot to wear through the mud and grass of Ireland. They made it back home looking just as good as the day I got them. Literally no worse for wear.

I am very pleased with these boots. I was looking for something that could be worn for hiking, walking my dog about town and general weekend wearing. I had these on walking around the house to see how they really fit when we got a last minute invitation to dinner with friends. I forgot I was still trialing these and when to dinner on a night that was pouring rain. They are so comfortable I forgot and went out in them, in the weather. They looked great, kept my feet dry and comfortable, even going through the puddles. Definitely a win for me.

LOVE these boots. They are stylish and cute while also being waterproof. They are super comfortable, but I would definitely recommend ordering a 1/2 size up. I normally wear a 9 and I am very happy with my 9.5.

These boots are fantastic, I have a pair of the brown ones in a size 9 which, to be honest, I wore through a rain storm and they kept my feat dry and also allowed them to stretch to their proper size. I probably should have ordered a 9.5 or 10 originally. I was a little worried the 10s would be too big but I'm glad I sized up and didn't have to go on a two mile walk in a rain storm to stretch/conform them to my feet. so basically, if you want happy feet, consider sizing up a half or full size from your normal so you won't have to slowly stretch them. but, on the other hand, I love both pairs and I basically lived in both of them this past winter in the PNW.

LOVE these boots! Only one problem, they are nearly impossible to get on :(. I have a narrow to normal foot and own lots of Sorel shoes, unfortunately these have to go back. There is elastic around the calf which doesn’t allow for a lot of give and after I wrestled one foot in they fit perfectly. Never could get the second one on. Bummed!!

I love how black the black is. I’m usually a size 8 and that’s what I bought. Hard to get on at first but once you do they feel great right away. Super comfortable. I’m guessing they will break in and be easier to put on.

Because of the other reviews, I ordered my usual 9 and a larger 9.5. I found that the 9 worked out well for me. I was swimming in the 9.5. Unlike others, I had no problem slipping my feet into the boots. Furthermore, I always use a shoe insert which also fits just fine in the 9. I do have slender feet so that may help my case though... Overall, they are soooo comfortable and are of solid quality. Another boot I love and highly recommend.

These boots are wonderful and are holding up to their waterproof claim. I was concerned after reading other reviews that they may run small and in a way they do. I have a narrow foot and my normal size fits great, but it fits like a shoe not a oversized rain-boot most of us know. I love that these can be worn to work on days its pouring instead of normal rain-boots. I would recommend if you have a normal width foot or wide you will most likely want a half size up or if you just want them to fit a little looser.

Many of the reviews say that they have a hard time getting their foot in these boots, but these fit perfectly for me. I have a rather "skinny" foot, so maybe that is why. They fit great on my instep and also have just enough room in the calf area, can probably fit my hand half way into the shaft. They are also super comfortable and have been my go to boot most days of this sloshy, wet Winter. No regrets whatsoever!

I have been looking for a mid calf boot for those mild winter, fall/spring wet times of the year and this is it! I did read other reviews before buying. I generally wear a 9 - 9.5 in shoes so I ordered size 10 and I am glad I did not go up to a 10.5 as they would have been way too big. I did set them aside to warm up because they were delivered on a 6 day and sat outside for a bit. The boots were a bit tight to put on the first time or two, especially with a thick sock. I did notice the cardboard inside the lower shaft but as others have mentioned it can be easily missed and boot will not go on properly with this in place so remember to remove all boot stuffing. Yesterday was warming up weather wise so a slushy mess here in MN. I wore these boots with thick socks all day wile out running my errands, they were great! Boots are very comfortable and I will be able to use while out walking in the slush and/or rain without having to wear a sloppy fitting, very cold "welly" boot. I have purchased a long shaft shoe horn to help put the boots on quick and because I don't want to ruin the heel insole over time and this works great. I have begun to use a small shoe horn with my low boots and shoes to help prolong the heel insole shoe life - they are inexpensive and so worth it!

These boots are great -- perfect shaft height, great color, waterproof and warm. I bought these to replace a similar pair made by Sorel that they no longer make. They felt snug in length (with thick socks) as soon as I put them on, but after wearing them around the house for a little bit of time they felt perfect. If you are between sizes, consider going up half size. They are a tiny bit narrow in the forefoot, for this type of boot, but nothing drastic. I find them easy to get on and off -- perhaps the manufacturer corrected the issue that several other reviewers have noted, or perhaps we just have different foot/ankle shapes. Recommended!
