These boots run a size larger than marked. I wear an 11 and shoes are rarely large on my feet. Yet these were 1/2 to a full size too big. Order down.

I wanted so badly to love these boots! They were the perfect mix of style and functionality, and had the best little details - right down to the rose gold gussets! I'm a 7 in my Chaco Sandals and went with the same in these boots. Though they were adorable and felt supportive, I found them to be stiff and ultimately too narrow through the toes. The overall length felt true to size. If only these were a bit wider!

Chacos you’ve done it again. It’s a glorious boot that’s lasted me through massive midwestern rain storms (dry socks after a 5-hr tailgate and football game that doubled as a monsoon), some light snow, as well as handled walking all day on campus and around town. Keep in mind that these aren’t quite as supportive as Chaco’s sandals, but they typically do the job. And there’s definitely room to add inserts if they’re needed. I got the caramel color, and I get compliments on them frequently. 10/10 would recommend.

I am not a hiking boot kind of girl, but I am not really a hiking kind of girl either, though when I do decide to take a trek I rely on Chacos. I have the sandals for summer, and these boots are perfect for when I need to hike up a muddy hill or even just walk across campus in the rain. I absolutely recommend them.

I love these shoes, but my feet are narrow and long (size 11 or 42/43) and these shoes were too wide and too long in size 11. I fear that the next size down will not fit either. They were super comfy, but just too roomy even with heavy socks. I am sad to have to return them.

LOVE these boots. I wear them constantly. They are a little big, but if I'm wearing a skirt I like to wear SmartWool tights and maybe colorful socks, and then the boots fit great. I also wear them on weekends, with jeans, with corduroy pants--they go with everything. Super comfortable. I can walk untrammeled and fast. They are terrific.

I ordered a half size down based on the reviews. I wear a 9 or 9.5 and the 9 fits well with room for thick socks. I wanted a pair of shoes to walk outdoors and take light hikes, and these are perfect.

For the most part I liked this boot. I wish I could get the top to lace a bit more snugly, as it seems to loosen with lots of walking. I haven't tried walking in a puddle but have worn them in the rain and they seem to be mostly waterproof. They aren't as warm as other "urban hiking" style shoes I have but leave enough room for a large sock.

I originally ordered an 8 because I wear an 8 in everything from my running shoes to my Frye boots, but these were too large. I ordered a 7.5 and they fit better, but are still a bit large. That is fine though because I'd like the option of wearing thick socks. The boot is a bit stiff and not very cushioned. I kept them though because again, I'll wear with thick socks. Feels like they will last a long time and I'm counting on them softening up over time.

These are so cute! I bought them for a trip to So. Africa and they were perfect! I love the color of the hooks, it’s a brushed pink gold color. I might order the gray one as well.

Seems to run just a little big in both length and width. Cute though. Will order in a smaller size.

Boot fit very comfortably around ankle and over top of foot/sides of tongue but was too large overall. Also did not like intrusive arch support though some may.

Fit was true to size and I like that these are fairly comfortable and waterproof. I was looking for a slightly more stylish boot and this isn't the cutest. If you are just going for a comfortable, practical boot this may be for you.

These boots are cute and the style would have worked for me but they were sooo stiff - probably from the waterproofing - that I couldn't walk 5 minutes in them without discomfort. The leather almost looks like a rubber rain boot which I didn't see in the pictures. I could have gotten over that had they felt good.

I ordered a half size up in these boots, but returned them because they were too long and narrow for me. The heel / ankle area was a bit baggy, even for my thick ankles with wool socks on, and I had trouble getting them tight enough with the laces to feel secure. These felt much more like a zero-drop shoe than advertised, which would be great for anyone looking for a more minimal winter boot (and not a hiking boot). The insole with arch support did feel great, but it hit a bit forward on my foot (maybe because they were too long) compared to my other shoes. The soft gray leather was great quality, and I have no doubt they'd last a long time if they found the right pair of feet.

These are exactly what I wanted, an everyday shoe that I could wear to the office but still trudge around the trails in on my lunch break. That's why the fit issue was so disappointing. The left shoe fit but the arch support was too far forward and hurt my foot, while the right shoe was way too narrow. This is not a problem I usually have with shoes, and I found it strange that each foot had a different problem. I sized up a half-size but those fit wrong in exactly the same ways, but were just longer.

I REALLY wanted to love these boots and I was anticipating on wearing them right out the box, but I ended up being super disasppointed. I read all the great reviews and not one of them mentioned how high and stiff the arch is in the boot. I do have fairly flat feet and I rarely have this issue with boots (which is why I was suprised no one else had mentioned it), but the arch was so high that it felt like I was standing on a sand bag where my (lack of an) arch would be. I wore these for ten minutes indoors to see if maybe I was just surprised by the support, but they didn't feel any better after, and even worse yet, my feet feel bruised in my arch area from standing on the arch support. Because I couldn't test them out, I can't comment on whether or not they're waterproof or how comfortable the rest of the boot was, but I can comment on a few things I noticed right off the bat - The color is beatiful and they do not look like clown shoes on your feet (I have a size 9 foot). The material feels nice, but you can tell they scuff easily - even just scratching your fingernail lightly on them causes a marr you really have to rub to get it out. I can't imagine these would hold up to actual hiking, but they would probably be nice for regular wear in crappy weather. The bottom of the boot is not really set up for much more than regular walks and casual groomed trail walking. There is also quite a bit of slop in the ankle and I would imagine that this could cause some blisters on the back of your heel after wearing them for a while. I really wanted to like this boot, but they just didn't work for me!

These boots were incredibly stiff for a casual shoe. I expect that out of hiking boots or work boots but I was definitely anticipating something more casual, relaxed and comfortable when I ordered these. Unfortunately, I am sending these back as they were incredibly uncomfortable.

I'm not surprised that reviews for this boot are all over the place in terms of sizing, width, etc. They fit really oddly--narrow across the arch of the foot, wide in the heel, long in the length, and with the arch in the wrong spot. Went with the Danner Mountain 600 boot instead and very pleased with my choice. These Chacos were an instant "no" for me!
