I was very excited to get these shoes in the mail, but to my dismay the canvas upper on both shoes started to come unglued from the rubber bottoms. I've had many pairs of Van's and have never run into this issue. Not sure if it has anything to do with the platform, or if they just weren't glued properly in the first place.

I bought these for my wife and they are the cutest Vans she's ever had. The color pops with jeans or shorts (she has tan legs!). She loves wearing these out for casual wear and gets lots of compliments. I bought her another pair in black too.

These are AWESOME! Been wearing Vans for 35+ years. Since I was little and BMX got popular where I lived. I have seen them change a LOT over the years. Good and bad. ;)
Love the platform on these. And I love that the "vans emblem" on the back of the shoe is back to being RED. These ones do run a little short, so I would half size up. I am a 9 and I got a 9.5 and they are perfect. I have very high arches so these have little support for me in that dept, but I still adore them. I have many styles of Vans and the only ones that actually had any arch support (to me) were the ones "built" in early 2000. Which I think is the style they are now calling "old skool." But inside, they are very different. And I have noticed mine falling apart a lot faster these days. Which makes me sad. Still a loyal fan though, because I love the style.

I’ve been an avid Vans wearer since the early 90s. On the platforms I had to size down from my usual 6.5 to a 6. I’ve got skinny feet, maybe that’s why, but saw other reviews with the same problem. I tried an orthotic in the 6.5 before returning then and my ankle just popped out the back of the shoe – the ankle opening on Authentics are larger than other models so if you are thicker footed you may not have this issue. Secret tip for keeping white rubber white – nail polish remover.

Oh my, these sneakers are absolutely adorable! I have been searching for a while for a casual sneaker that fits well and that I like and finally found it in these Vans. I had normally wear a size 7 but had to get a 7.5 and they fit very well. Good arch support and will look so cute with jeans and shorts. So happy I found these!

I unfortunately decided to return these.
I’ve been wearing vans for years, the same plain white style and just order new ones when I can no longer get them clean. I was excited because platform is so on-trend right now to get some platform vans. White goes with everything!
Unfortunately I decided to return them because the platform is white small and I was looking for more of a statement. The platform isn’t that tall and isn’t really that noticeable. I don’t think it’s quite 1.5 inches. I wish I could have gotten some vans with a 2 or 4 inch platform, to really stand out and make them noticeable. I know I'm not the only reviewer saying this but I have had these for a month and they are already coming apart :( the glue that attaches to the canvas is coming apart. I wear these religiously (every day to my 8-4pm job, avg 10k steps a day) but not to the point that they should be coming apart. My last pair did this too but I made them last for a year but also had to re-glue them once and they came apart again.
I love these shoes. They look great. They're comfortable (esp for my flat feet) but they aren't worth the price of coming apart in a month. I'm so sad to say this because I love the brand but if I'm paying for a well loved brand, I want them to live up to their quality. I feel like many brands fall into this trap of giving poorer and poorer quality products because they know we love them and will continue to pay the same price while they reduce the money they spend to make them.
I think this will be the last time I purchase :(

I'm really happy that Zappos is offering Vans platform styles in larger men's sizes. They are not really platforms when you get out to an 11.5 shoe size, but they are much more comfortable than normal Vans, which seem to have gotten thinner over the years and less padded. Overall the proportion of the length and height of the shoe looks much better.

These shoes just brought back memories from my youth A+ will be ordering more. Shipping was extremely quick 2 days they were here. I bought the weather/stain resistant spray, sprayed them down ket them dry 24 hours and 3 days later I was wearing my vans white lace up with a higher sole. Love them

Fit, size and material was good. I love the style but the shoes shipped to me had dirt marks inside the heel of each shoe. Shows that someone tried the shoe on with dirty feet. Yucky!!!! ZAPPOS, please make sure that inside of shoe is clean prior to re-shipping returns to your customers. I understand that there are returns due fit and sizing but hygiene checks are of utmost importance. I am returning shoes for a clean pair.
