A very comfortable, supportive, durable running shoe for my 250 lb frame.

My feet, especially my heels, were in pain after wearing a particular cheap pair of athletic shoes for several weeks. Hope seemed lost... Would my feet, including my heels, feel the comfort once again of an exceptionally-cushioned pair of athletic shoes? Enter the Mizuno Wave Paradox 4 Running Shoes. My feet, including my heels, feel incredible with every step I take in these bad boys. Wearing these shoes makes me feel as if I am walking on clouds!

The headline says it all. If you want to run in a shoe that provides exceptional stability and comfort this is it. Some day there will probably be a better shoe but right now this is it. Unfortunately it is discontinued in the US. There is still stock online as I type this but it will not last forever. The next best I think is the Mizuno Inspire 14.

I loved the shoes referenced above. Unfortunately, I could not buy the Wave Paradox 4 because you decided not to make it in the 2E width. Bought the Wave Inspire and some other designs and brands that I found to be a poor substitute. Hopefully, when you make your next version of the Wave Paradox, you will decide to service all your customers.

I walk 40 miles a week and had been wearing the Wave Inspire. I left Mizuno and bought a pair of New Balance 1260's. Big mistake. Went back to Mizuno and upgrade to the Paradox. Amazing shoe with tons of support, I will never wear any brand.

My feet tend to pronate a little inwards and I have flat feet. These shoes really help me walk comfortably. I have worn the Paradox 2, 3 and now 4. Love these shoes. I really like the current blue/grey and orange color. I now own three pairs from Zappos! Treat yourself to a good walk. I am 5’ 10” and 238 lbs.

I haven't run many miles on these yet, however first impressions when wearing them felt, stiff, but stable, not a lot of cushion, after about 10 miles (different gradual runs) they have loosened up, they look very durable and hopefully as the break in they will feel better.

Like them..but i don't love them like I do the Wave Sky....good shoe to knock around in , but not the superior cushioning and support of the Skye.
Look cool tho....ok , but not for working out.

I put these on in my house and they felt very comfortable unfortunately when I went outside with them they started to aggravate a strained groin that was just about healed that is the only reason I gave them a lower rating in comfort and overall

Regretfully, this Wave Paradox (replacing discontinued Wave Alchemy) is not as stable when using my custom orthotic insert. Better alternative, a sports shoe expert introduced me to brand Hoka M Bondi 5 which feels much more stable and looks great, too.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka
