I’ve been ordering this shoe for a school uniform for my son from kindergarten through 4th grade. They hold up well and seem to be comfortable. The design is changed this year, but I think it’s an improvement. Great reliable school shoe. The laces are a little short is the only other thing I’m noticing.

This is the second pair of these exact shoes for my kiddo (4 XW). He has fairly flat, wide feet and loves these shoes. The first pair lasted almost exactly a year as his primary, daily shoes. We are very pleased!

Perfect school uniform shoes for my son with wide, flat feet. Needs the xw and this shoe is one of the few out there that works for him.

I purchased these for my daughter as she is rough on shoes, yet needs great support. They do help her walk correctly and have been great! They match most of her outfits and are durable especially with her keeping them tied and taking them on and off constantly. I'm glad that Zappos has these shoes available in big kid sizes so readily available. It has made it easy for me to take care of my kids' needs for walking for longer.

This is the second time I’ve purchased these shoes. I bought them last year for my daughter and they lasted the whole year. Very good quality.

We have bought three pairs of these shoes for our son. He is extremely picky about shoes and never complained about these. The only reason we had to keep buying more was because he grew out of them. These last at least 3 times longer than the typical payless shoes we have purchased in the past.

The fit seemed fine but after awhile they hurt. They were too narrow. Overall the shoe was good but a little stiff.

My son complained about the short tongue on the shoe and the stiffness that comes with the newness really dug into his ankle.

This shoe is a boy's shoe. The review is based on how it fits a girl. The shoe could be used for either a boy or girl that has wide feet or wear plastic support needing more width. I ordered for a girl and the shoes run wider and longer. Also, the shoe does not breathe well with man-made materials. Stride rite previously made shoes in leather. Depending on the child the leather and breathability of shoe may not be an issue. It has an extra toe guard which I think will increase the durability of the shoe.
