I purchased these boots to replace a pair of old Euro leather hiking boots. I wanted something much lighter that would lessen knee strain. My size 9.5 feet are narrow with a high arch and instep and these boots fit my feet very well. They provide excellent support and still flex through the super-grip sole, allowing me to be both stable and agile on and off trail as well as crossing snow field. I have used these to hike in both Colorado and in the Dolomites of NE Italy and I am very happy with them.

Thought this boot looked really stylish, but I found it to be too narrow in the middle of the boot, and the arches made my feet cramp just walking around in them. Toe box felt fine, but felt like a tighter fit without any room to spear for thick socks.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - so comfortable and cute! I've been searching quite some time for a replacement for my 'loved to death' Merrell Capra Mid-Sport and I finally found the pair. I normally wear a 6.5 - I think these might run a tad small because the 6.5 fit almost 'too perfectly' so if you really like a bit of room or prefer heavy heavy socks, perhaps size up. The 7 was too big, so I opted to stick with the 6.5 and am so happy I did. I agree with some of the other reviewers - they are a bit tough to get on, but once they are... wow! The best thing of all - no breaking in period was needed at all!

So pleased w/these boots. They are comfortable, waterproof, and very sporty. No breaking in period needed. I highly recommend them.

The shoe felt really good once I was able to get my foot inside the shoe. It was tight to push my foot in and the left side felt tight on top of my foot. Getting the laces loose did not help. I wished they would have fit, these would have been the ones I would have kept.

These felt rather comfortable, for about the first hour. Then my feet got incredibly hot - and I was only walking in the house. The description mentions a 'coated upper'. It feels like a cross between rubber and plastic and at closer inspection I'm not sure how the seams will hold up. Sorry Zappos - I'm still on the hunt for the hiking boot love of my life.
