The Kumquat Orange color is beautiful, and the perfect color for this jacket. I had a hard time deciding between the hooded jacket and the non-hooded jacket, but I'm very happy with my decision to get the one without a hood.

This was a jacket I had been eyeing for a while and had been waiting until the fall to invest. With a trip to Iceland coming up, I needed a lightweight jacket that was also flexible in the performance and weight as the temperature changed. The ventrix fit the bill in allowing me to move from hiking a glacier, exploring waterfalls, checking out the Black sand beaches, to hitting the Big Lewboski bar in downtown Reykjavik.

As all North Face Jackets the quality is exceptional, it will serve good for cold weather, however it said that it was designed for climbing and I find it too bulky, but overall a good purchase and I would definitively recommend it

I would give it a full 5 stars if it also came in a normal "classic" fit instead of just Slim. I'm 5'11" 180# and the large fits nice except up in the shoulders, trying to bring my arms together felt like I would rip it in half like on Tommy Boy! I wanted a jacket to throw over a tshirt on chilly mornings so this one is a little loose on me(probably will fit perfect later this fall with a hoodie)but for the price it's definitely worth it because, well, it is a NF.

Nice fabric, great clean fit easy to climb in on cold days. Bulky and doesn't pack down.

This jacket could have been the perfect rival to the Patagonia Nano-Air, but it failed majorly in the sizing aspect. While the the Nano-Air is true to size, which is small for me, the Ventrix runs very small. The size that you normally wear will be rather snug, restrictive of movement, and almost suffocating to wear. I ended up getting a size above my true size, which result in a slightly baggy jacket that cannot fit under an alpine hard shell comfortably.

I got this jacket because I'm starting to get into mountaineering and I loved it! Just had a couple hikes last week and the week before and it was absolutely great in cold weather, kept me warm and even protected against poisonous herbs and stuff along the way. Breathes very well and certainly regulates a bit when you start getting hotter. It also has a nice soft feel on the skin!

Use it constantly at home, work, hiking, biking, and anything else. It is so versatile and smooth. I pair it with an hard shell layer over it for rainy days and it keeps me nice and warm. Perfect addition to my active lifestyle (bike to work everyday, hiking, walking and everything in between).

Jacket cut favors Athletic, slim fit, so choose a size slightly larger than normal if you don’t have a true “athletic physique”. I’m between L and XL so I bought the XL and it fit perfectly. Warm and soft, great stand alone jacket for early Spring/late Fall temps. Will be a good “inner liner” for heavier, winter coats and severe cold.

Great jacket. Bought for skiing to layer under waterproof shell. Warm and light. This jacket also looks great for casual wear after you come off the slopes. I am normally a large but XL fits great to fit additional base layer underneath. Highly recommend.

Works great as a single outer layer for moderate temperatures, or layered over a fleece for colder weather. Breathes well and doesn't overheat too badly when moving. It's also pretty water resistant, but I haven't tested it out in anything more than a light rain.

Awesome jacket! Extremely lightweight and warm, very breathable, and has multiple uses (casual, active wear, etc.). It is slim fit so it can be a little snug at times but overall does not restrict movement to a high degree. Have 2 of these because of how great a jacket it is (conquer blue and disruptor camo).

Fits perfect, does not restrict your movement at all and is extremely warm. Just wish I got two of these when they were on sale.
