Ok the zipper - really honestly don’t know what the problem is. Lol. I’m loving the zipper, that can open top and bottom. Makes getting into the car and driving that much more comfortable. Wouldn’t have thought about it being a feature until I got in the car one day and realized the zipper opened from the bottom, and allowed the room needed to sit comfortably. Style wise - I think this is prob one of my fav jackets ever! Comfort wise - so comfortable, especially the neck line, doesn’t bother me at all. Some jackets you cannot not zip it all the way, either the zipper or the collar is scratchy. All in all, soooo in love with this jacket. One of my best purchases!

Finding a jacket for my long arms is a chore but this one fit the bill. Zipper is a pain in the butt, sent first jacket back thinking it was a defect but second was the same. I figured out how to zip it and get it on the first try so I will keep it but it’s definitely a bad design with the zipper. I’m 5’7 with a slim build and the small is perfect!

I like almost everything about this coat - It fits well and looks good and it's the perfect length. Did not wear it outside so can't comment on warmth. No zipper problems. BUT the magnets are completely useless. I specifically get coats with snaps so I don't have to zip up if I'm just running out to the car - but these magnets are so feeble they open if I even move my arm. Disappointed. Sending it back.

I bought both the Montreal jacket and this one. This was the winner. It’s warm without being bulky. The Montreal coat was bulky. Felt like the Stay Puft marshmallow (wo)man compared to this coat. ?

I really liked this jacket but the zipper was impossible to work without 4-5 tries. Not sure if it's just a defect in this one garment but it's going back.

This jacket is great. It's definitely lighter weight, I'd say for anything around 15 degrees and above. Anything colder than that and I have an Eddie Bauer parka that is a lot warmer.

This coat kept me warm and cozy during my trip to Iceland. Temperatures were around 18 to 20 F and did not feel the cold or the wind in it. The hoody is also very good in terms of staying in place and keeping the head warm. The zipper was easy to zip up and down. Even during the wind. I could zip it up without any problem. I liked that it could be undone at the bottom, too. I am so glad bought it. I am 5 feet 3 inches, 125 pounds, got a Small and it fits perfect.

I never write reviews, but for this coat, I relied heavily on them before purchasing. So I'm going to "give back" by focusing my comments on concerns I read in other people's posts. I'm 5'3", 132 lbs, muscular build with smallish shoulders. I typically wear size S, sometimes XS, in coats/jackets. I got a S this time, and while the sleeves are on the longer side, it otherwise fits perfectly. (In contrast, I bought a S Guides Down Marmot jacket before I bought this one, and I had to return it because it looked huge on me.) I've been wearing the coat daily for a week, and I've had absolutely no trouble with the zipper, which some previous reviewers complained about. I love the convenience of the magnetic closures. I live in Boston, and I would NOT call this a heavy-duty coat. It's perfect for ~25-45F weather. But I adore how lightweight and comfortable it feels to wear. (The fabric is somehow more pliable than some of my heavier coats.) The styling and navy color are flattering, as previous posters indicated.

Set my husband out with these parameters: the higher the down fill the better, hood, and mid-thigh length. There were some other wish list items but I didn't share them. Well, this jacket hits the mark and the extra items! For me, it's easier to cool down than warm upthe bi-directional zipper is stellar and can be used with gloves - when you loose heat easily, keeping gloves on is important. There are so many easily accessible pockets. The hood flaps took a minute to figure out and well worth the find! All around most excellent. Thank you Marmot!

Perfect down coat. Slimmer than the Montreal, so you don't look like a marshmallow (and longer sleeves), and probably slightly less warm, but for most of the winter I think it will be the the right combination warmth, length, width and and lightness. For me, it's only lacking in colors. I have enough dark coats and red doesn't suit. I wish the gray was more of a silver.

Absolutely loved the coat. Warm, non-constrictive. The only problem was that the hood is huge. When up, it came down on my face and I couldn't see. I hated to but I returned it for this reason.

I ordered this jacket during a summertime sale. So, my caveat is that it has not been cold weather tested yet. However, my major disappointment was that this was obviously a coat that someone had worn and then returned. Even though the jacket was packed as though it were brand new, upon unzipping the pockets, I found a USED face mask inside as well as loose change and a gum wrapper. Gross!!! The coat itself fit well and seem to be high quality, but, I was extremely disgusted to find those items in the pocketsespecially in a Covid era. How did that pass quality control/inspection.or is there maybe just obviously none?

Fit is a tad big but I don’t mind for layers however the double zipper is a pain and is not easy to work with. I think the jacket is stylish and comfy and will keep someone fairly warm. Not the warmest down jacket I’ve owned

Love this jacket! I put it on right after taking it out of the package and went for a walk outside. It is medium weight, nice fabric, well made, no issues with the zipper.

Very warm and style is not so big that you look like you're in a sleeping bag

This is the best jacket I ever had. It's very warm, perfect for Chicago winters. light weight, you never get that bulky feeling under arms as you do with most jackets. The hood is a perfect fit too and doesn't slip off. Another great feature is the fleece lined pockets and wrists. Great buy!!

I live in Minnesota and I love this jacket. I am 5'2", 110 lbs with an average build and the extra small fits perfectly. It's feels light but I can wear it in 20 degrees with just a long sleeve t-shirt. Add a sweater and it's good to -5. I like the hood since I can wear a hat and over-ear headphones underneath. The faux fur overhangs and shelters my face from the wind and snow. My favorite features are the secret pocket, which enables me to secure my phone and access it without unzipping my jacket; and the magnetic closures. I hate velcro and the magnets are a convenient alternative.

Love it super warm but lightweight had a north face parka B4 this one but marmot did not disapoint

I have been a regular Northface buyer but recently I could not find the right one that is very pleasing to my standard so I tried Marmot Strollbridge, read other reviews and took the chance and was very pleased that I bought not just 1 not 2 biy 3 Strollbridge! Sooo warm, length and hood are perfect for a short one like me.

The fit was true to size. The detail is cute and makes the jacket unique. Plenty warm for cold ice skating rinks and winter walks.

I was looking at the Strollbridge and the Montreal and ended up on the Strollbridge because of the fantastic sale price. I was nervous about my purchase after reading reviews that stated the Strollbridge wasn't very warm...but rest assured...it is! I've been wearing it in -20 degree weather here in Montana with just my scrub top and a long sleeve t-shirt underneath and am plenty warm! Haven't taken any long walks in the bitter cold...but so far this is exceeding my expectations. Such a flattering cut and beautiful color. Love the length even on my 5'2" frame.

This coat is fine fitting which I really like and yet there’s enough room for you to wear a sweater underneath. It has magnetic buttons if that’s important to you. The only thing is that it had a chemical smell when I opened the plastic packaging so I wasn’t thrilled about that because I am sensitive to chemicals and my skin became very irritated. I’ll be airing it out for a couple of days to see if that helps. Otherwise I’m going to return it. I wish clothing was made more sustainably and without so many chemicals ( so bad for us and our planet).

Great jacket! It's so warm and fits nicely on a petite person. Not too long.

I wore through my first Marmot jacket after numerous winters of dog walks. I was seeking a replacement and couldn't find a duplicate so I tried this one and it does not disappoint! Super warm on temps in the single digits even (and I get cold fast). Beautiful dark gray color and stylish for outings too. I am 5'5", 123 lbs and small fits me perfectly. Only thing I would love this jacket to have are the wrist and thumb hole parts added like in my old Marmot jacket.
