I'm a little mixed on these for a few reasons; color and comfort mainly. I got them in Macaroon which is a little duller and more beige than what's pictured, so not quite as pretty in person as it appears above, and not great on my pale white skin (probably beautiful on darker skin tones). I got them in size 6 which fits perfectly and which I wear most often in sandals but sometimes I'm a 6.5. I have a slightly wider than average forefoot, and the toe strap fits me fine. However, I have the ankle strap on the last buckle hole (the loosest) so people with thick ankles may need to add a hole because my ankles are only slightly thicker than average. The ankle strap grips and tightens around your ankle as you walk so I'm not crazy about that. Also the heel is pretty hard. I love the low slope of these due to the platform but i'm just not sure I'm sold. I'll have to wear them around the house more to decide if I'll keep them.

Love them! I rarely wear heels anymore because I get all kinds of 49-year-old joint pains from them. But I've worn these awesome shoes to two dancing-into-the-wee hours parties already this summer and have had NO issues and never needed to switch to flats. So comfortable and lots of compliments.

I am SO happy with these shoes. I wore them for the first time at an outdoor event where I was on my feet for hours. There were stairs, lots of walking on different terrains... no problem! And this is coming from a woman who has plantar fasciitis and practically lives in clogs. Extremely comfortable. There is a certain... awareness of the ankle straps, but you get used to it quickly. Both the straps and the shoe bed feel padded and soft. (I will say, my ankles are average size... if you have thick ankles, it might be different.) The best part is, they also look great. Someone at the event asked me if my shoes were Prada! Best shoe money I ever spent.

Shockingly comfortable for the style. I'm not keeping, though, because I didnt' love the way it looked on my foot. It's a little aggressively fashion-forward i.e. it screams LOOK AT ME, and I don't know if that's what I wanted in a shoe, but when you look at it online, what did I think I was ordering? HOnestly I guess I was intrigued that everyone reviewed this shoe as so comfortable. I can verify this is, in fact, true.

I loved these shoes the moment I saw a picture of them on another website. I watched them on Zappos and jumped when they went on sale. They did not disappoint!!! I got the slate color which is a beautiful, soft gray. They are comfortable right out of the box and look fantastic. My only complaint is that they make a noisy clomping sound when you walk..or maybe I just have a clompy gait! I hope to get them in another color as well.

I am so freaking happy with these shoes! I'm 47, professional, and a person who likes classic styles. I have narrow-ish, low rise feet and a bunion on my right foot from years of having worn cute, pointy high heels I can no longer tolerate. I'm so happy to have (finally!) found a shoe that is very attractive and stylish, but also sturdy, comfortable, high quality and versatile! I wear these both for going out in the evening as well as with professional clothing, and feel like a million bucks -- even as a walker who spends a good amount of time speaking and training on her feet. These shoes are incredibly comfortable! I can't get over it. The suede is so soft, and nothing pinches or rubs at all. I've worn them out for three full nights (walking around all night), and I didn't even feel like I was wearing heels! The toe platform and the thick heel definitely add to the comfort. They don't slide either, thanks to the ankle strap (I do have thin ankles--other reviews say the strap is tight). The slate is a bit grayer than it looks online (I expected more beige), but they are still beautiful! I will buy them in black too!

These shoes are absolutely gorgeous! The fit is true to size, including the ankle strap. Quality and construction is top notch. I purchased them in the slate, which is a light grey color (I think the picture reflects that well). The style is like no other shoe I've seen recently. I plan to wear them dressed up or down. The black and macaroon colors will also be in my closet in the very near future. So worth the price. Happy customer :-)

These shoes are amazing! They are so beautiful, stylish and comfortable. I just LOVE them!

I now believe in love at first sight . . . I had just been disillusioned by another pair of chunky sandals that I thought would be the bomb, and reluctantly returned them. But good things come to those who wait! This shoe is A*MA*Z*I*N*G! Just arrived, and I am instantly in love. This is a gorgeous, and gorgeously-made shoe. The color, fyi, is actually a dove grey, not the more stone-y/taupe-y color that it appears in the photo. But for me, that's actually better. The amazing thing about this is that there is very little rise, which equals great comfort. But it LOOKS like a high-stack, platform shoe. Wizardry! The only thing I'm concerned about is that the rim of the sole is indeed the same grey suede - will have to take care about where these shoes go. But with that said, they are terrific! I hover between a 9-9 1/2, but ordered these in 8 1/2 as it seems sandals fit me better this way. But am ordering a 9 just for comparison. Either way, these are keepers! Have never heard of this brand before, but they feel very high-end. Merci, Louise et Cie!

Great shoes but the color macaron is not accurately represented in the photography here on Zappos at all. The shoe looks pink in the picture but it is beige. I wear a 9.5M or a 10M in most shoes -- usually a 10 -- and the 10 fits but with not a lot of wiggle room in either width or length. I'm returning them only because of the color issue.

This was the first time I've ordered products from this company. Although I'm not particularly a fan of nubuck or suede (always concerned that I will ruin them with scuffs or getting caught in the rain, etc.), I'm on the hunt for comfortable, black sandals that also have a heel for an upcoming trip. *What Worked: 1) The shoes appear to be made from high quality materials 2) The sizing was accurate *What Did Not Work: 1) The design on the ankle strap did not feel secure. Although the sizing was great, no matter how I finagled the strap, I still felt some "slippage". I have found that I prefer shoes like this that have support around and behind the ankle. *Details: I have a somewhat wide foot, I overpronate, and have the beginnings of a bunion (misalignment of the "big toe" joint) on one of my feet. I usually wear a 6 or 6.5 in quality dress shoes - I purchased both sizes and the 6 fit as expected.
