This is almost a perfect trench coat. I love all my other Arc'teryx gear. But the sleeves are noticeably too long. They should either be adjustable or shorter. And you should have the option to use front snaps instead of or in addition to the zipper.

Wanted a long rain coat and this was exactly what I wanted. Great fit but oddly long sleeves. Very happy with the purchase overall

Full disclosure , I'm not a hiker , I don't hang out in the woods and I don't snowboard. I'm just a dude who likes tech fashion , with that said , this jacket has def exceeded my expectations. I live in Wisconsin so we get snow/winter 8 months out of the year and lately it's been raining/freezing raining a lot. And this jacket works amazingly , in fact just today I was out all morning in the rain and everything from my knees up was completely dry , try not to let the price tag scare you as you def get what you pay for with this jacket as far as functionality and overall style is concerned. Also getting constant compliments on it does hurt either, and it makes me feel like I'm in the movie blade runner , which for me is an added bonus. Arc'teryx y'all killed it !

The Keppel Trench Coat is an essential acquisition for a stylish weatherproof over coat. The sleek tailored design is perfect for business or urban life in today's world. The fabric is a step up from the typical gore-tex shell with a subtle texture that elevates this coat to a very sophisticated piece of clothing. It is everything that I have learned to expect from Arc'teryx. I completely endorse this product.

I bought this coat a few weeks ago (Griz). Absolutely love the design and engineering behind this coat to give it that stylist modern feel. The only complaint I have as most reviews is that the sleeves are way too long. I do have a long upper body however the sleeves did overlap my hands. When I clip the buttons it wasn't too bad, but overall an purchase

I cannot fault a jacket that i've secretly dreamt of. this gortex trench has no competition when covering a wool suit in a windstorm. i've never tolerated hoods, so this is great in a football stadium on a rainy day. too long to ski in, oh well.

I just received this trench coat and absolutely love it. It fits perfectly, is elegant and simple with great classic lines, and will work well for commuting in the rainy region I live in. I struggled with picking the right size online, and decided for the medium. I'm 6 feet 4 inches and weigh 190 pounds with an athletic build, and wondered about the large, but I wanted a trim cut, and since the sleeves run long, and my other Arc'Teryx coats fit best in medium, I ordered the medium and it could not fit better. Maybe they'll offer it with a subtle pattern, like herringbone some day.

I've always struggled with traveling and having one coat to fit all purposes. Historically, Gore-Tex jackets always looked too technical for nights out while traveling. This coat answers a lot of those needs. I appreciate that Arc Teryx designed something that would fit that bill. Shoulders fit nicely, very clean design.

Bought Large size 5'10", 190 lbs fit great but like other reviews, the sleeves were long. I actually have longer than average arms (according to my tailor) but the sleeves were long and didn't look too great when I tried to fold the sleeves. Material is waterproof but not too thick; it doesn't make sounds every time I move. I didn't read where it was manufactured so I was expecting 'Made in Canada' like my other jackets but it wasn't made in Canada, sad to say. I would rather pay more and have it made in Canada.

This jacket is bomb proof! I bought this jacket 8 months ago for work, and can say with out a doubt that it is worth every penny! This is my daily jacket, it goes everywhere with me, and I have put it through its paces from having things spilt on it, grease marks on the elbow, crammed into bags and overhead bins. It has held up in the snow, kept me dry in the rain, and received a ton of compliments on the colour "blue". I found the sizing to be exactly the same as my other arcteryx jackets. The double zipper on the front is a must for any longer jacket, and the cut in the seat area allows you to move with out bunching up the jacket. Great job arcteryx team!

Impressed with the perceived quality of this coat right out of the bag it was shipped in. I got the black color as I deemed it to be the most versatile. The Gtex fabric feels nice and not crinkly or overly noisy. When you look inside the coat you can see the terrific job done to seal the seams. I will mostly wear this as work wear. The fit is good and does not feel restrictive even with a suit jacket on underneath. I wear 42L suits and my size L trench had adequate room to accommodate. Some have mentioned that the sleeves are too long. In my experience it might be about half and inch longer than expected however when I adjusted the cuffs by way of the snap buttons I found that it was okay and with minimal bunching the sleeves became acceptable length. I am really not sure if this would be appropriate for its prescribe use as cycling gear, just seems a bit out of place and impractical to me. I purchased the black and I found a couple of things puzzling. 1/ when the collar is flipped up there is no reflective stripe, and 2/ Even after checking a few times i still can't seem to find the care label. I wonder if Arc'teryx might have an answer to these questions? Over all i am impressed an happy with the purchase and I look forward to wearing the coat when spring arrives.

Arcteryx should get a design price for that coat. I am 6.1 tall and 185lb and the large fits me perfectly. Slim and elegant silhouette, in particular if the collar is pushed up, with still large enough inside room to move comfortably around. Beats look- and comfort wise every fashion brand trench which costs four to five times as much. My wife loves it. Protection from wind and rain is superb, so far it kept me absolutely dry in evil downpours. Because of the high collar, you don't miss a hood in rain if you wear in addition, e.g, a baseball cap for rain protection on the head. I don't know why there are so many complaints about the long sleeves, they fit me perfectly. People forget also that a trench, because of the longer back line, must have some longer sleeves to look elegant, in particular if you wear it over a suit jacket (otherwise you look like a kindergartner!).

I've had long shell coats by Arcteryx in the past, however, they've always been the hooded styles. I'm 6 foot 5 inches and I ordered the double extra large. Please Arcteryx don't change this...the long sleeve length is perfect. I have read reviews that complain about the long sleeves but it appears perhaps the product description isn't read properly. The coat is a "nice coat" for bike riding. It's essentially a stylish black trench for bike riding. The sleeves are supposed to be longer because all sleeves pull up when riding a bike and doing other activities. That's the point of the the long sleeves. I'm a long armed tall guy as it is, please don't change the sleeve length. Standing, the size I have, the sleeves come to the knuckle. I don't mind it at all, even if not riding my bike. My watch is covered from the elements as is any wrist bling I have on. Riding my bike, the sleeves of course ride up shorter to wrist level. Can you imagine riding a bike in a coat that didn't have the extra sleeve length? It would be riding up toward your elbow. I really did a long search of shell/rain long length shell coats before buying this one again and it's the fit that got me to purchase. In addition to the great sizing and sleeve length, the coat itself is protective from the elements. I've been pelted with hard sideways rain in the north UK with harsh winds and I've stayed dry and warm only wearing a very light thin cashmere underneath. The dual zipper is also the huge bonus. I would not buy a coat without a dual zipper. When you sit down somewhere you can unzip from the bottom to give you more room and perfect for the bike. As a note, I tried the extra large on as well which fit fine for my height, however I took the double X in size to allow for more layer underneath during travel and bike rides. It also fits a suit underneath nicely. The one weird quirk with the coat is, that in addition to the water proof inner zip pocket, there is a weird long passage on one side of the coat. My last jacket had this as a long pocket. This one is just a just an open bottomed space. It would have been nice to have it stitched at the bottom for another deep pocket. I actually used the deep pocket on my other jacket for wallet and passport as it's hard to pick pocket. I would recommend this jacket for anyone that wants a minimalist stylish rain coat or a styled up bike coat. Thanks Arcteryx for another winner!

I am very happy with this product. My husband absolutely loves it. It fits true to size and is very stylish. The material is lightweight yet not flimsy and it provides a great stylish alternative to bulky rain jackets.

I really enjoy my new keppel jacket from Arc'teryx. The color blue is super beautiful and the goretex fabric is waterproof and breathable. In other reviews I see that people have a problem with the length of the sleeves. They would be too long? They are perfect for me. Especially if you spend a lot of time on the bike or in my case on the scooter. That extra length will come in handy. If the cuff of the jacket were with Velcro. Then the extra length would not stand out and no closure by buttons would not be necessary. Top coat!

This is a well made stylish jacket that can be worn year round with the approporiate layering: raincoat in summer, waterproof, wind proof shell in autum/winter. I bought it primarily as a city jacket and it has don the job well. I'm 180 cm tall and found the large to be an excellent fit, with the arms just a little long for walking around but just right when riding a bike. An added benefit is tha it is very stylish and works well for both formal (over a suit jacket) or casual occasions. It also packs very small and works well for traveling

I very much like the material. Ordered also another 'lifestyle' jacket, the Sawyer, which is unbearable noisy. If there would be a detachable hood it would be even more perfect. The sleeves are awesome when you ride your bicycle because they won't be too short like on other jackets.
