I have worn it in the rain but not skiing yet. So far I'm impressed

I can't really review this as I got it and got injured but it seems the same quality I expect from Arcteryx and I fully expect it to live up to the quality I've known and expect.

I just received my Rush jacket in med size. I am 5'9'' 160 lbs ans sizing is good. It's a long jacket which I think is perfect for skiing/snowboarding. I don't think the fit is large, it's just a little longer than a more versatile style like the Beta because of its intented use. It's light and the gore tex material looks and feel great. A lot of adjustments for the hood are possible. I'm sure I will like it!

I have logged 100+ days in my Rush and it is bombproof. Powder days, rain, and sub-zero, all taken in stride. I wear a M in everything (5'8" 170 lbs), including this jacket. It is a roomier fit, but great for layering, even with a Thorium AR on the coldest of days. A removable powder skirt would be my only recommendation. Pockets are terrific.

Favourite jacket, mainly used for backcountry snowboarding, but also for commuting in the rain and hiking. The length is perfect for snowboarding being slightly longer. Inside stash pockets are good for storing skin's in if heading back up for another round.

The Rush shell has come through for me as the best all round ski shell I've found yet.
With burly fabric, a fit that allows layering options and features that have a versatile use for resorts and backcountry.
While the jacket excels in wet stormy conditions that we get often in the PNW with its robust fabric and 3 layer goretex. I've found it very useful as a backcountry shell for cold dry conditions as it allows me to layer up. The new version has two internal stuff pockets that can fit skins, gloves or a couple of sandwiches.
Typically I'll wear the Rush in the resort over a wool baselayer and my Proton LT. A vest or fleece works well for colder conditions without feeling crammed into it.
My one gripe is that the powder skirt is a bit tight and could be removable. We don't get super light snow out the PNW so I never use it snapped together but will clip it to my Sabre AR pants if I remember

This jacket is great for outdoor sports. It has a very tough face fabric and has been waterproof just about every chance it can be. I have been snowboarding for years and have always had my Rush on hand for larger colder mountain days. The only drawback I have is that the jacket should be in the "relaxed" fit catfora instead of the "regular" as it is roomy. This is NOT an issue on the mountain when layering, but if it's a bit warmer out and I'm only wearing a fleece as a layer I'm switching over to my Beta in the same size for a bit more fit. All in all a very good outer shell, especially with the powder skirt. I am 5'11" at 145 Lbs and wear a small.

I got the jacket about a year ago and it has been incredible. I have used it tons for resort days and numerous times for touring and it's withstood everything I have thrown at it.
The breathability is great for the days when you're really working hard but it's also done exceptionally well in days up to -35c paired with other layers.
I would say just be careful of sizing and be sure before you by. I wear a lot of things in a medium at (5'10, 175lb) but the large has worked perfectly for me!

Just received my jacket and initial quality is absolute tops. I have tried many jackets trying to get one that fits right. I seem to be right between sizes right now so I was struggling. I have 34" waist. 44" chest. And fit large is most other jackets. Solano large fits perfect. Atom LT large fits perfect. I ordered the Sabre AR large and it was almost comically too big. Looked a bit ridiculous around chest and shoulders and I couldn't enjoy it. Quality was great and seems like a great jacket. But wasn't going to work for a winter shell unless I was ok with it being well oversize. The Micon fit very nice around the chest but the length was not my style at all. Beautiful jacket. If they make a short micon it will be another top pick. I got the Rush in shadow warrior which is a real nice colour scheme and the large fits absolutely perfect. Nice fit around the shoulders and arms and still allowing just enough movement. Fit is great without being too big.

As other reviews mention, this jacket is basically bombproof, and looks great while protecting you from the elements. I've owned both the Sabre AR and the Rush, and would say both honestly do the same thing. If you can't find your size/color in one model, but can in the other, they're interchangeable.
I'm 5'8" and 145lbs, and the size small fits pretty big, but for skiing I like that for proper layering in the upper New England area. I also wear it for severe conditions, but the size is a bit large for every day wear for me personally.

My previous Arc'teryx jacket had a defect that showed up after 11 years... let's just say, its many years of wearing it. Brought it back and was credited which allowed me to purchase this new model. Love it. Super well done and amazing quality as always.

I purchased this Rush jacket at the end of last snowboard season (March 2021) so I haven't had many opportunities to really test it out but from the short time I've had it seems to be rock solid. Can't wait for the upcoming season!!
I wear a men's medium throughout the Arc lineup of jackets and this Rush fits inline with enough room to layer a base layer and an Atom LT. On really cold days I can even layer a Thorium SV underneath.

Love this jacket. Great features and the Wildthang color is going to make me be seen on the ski slopes. Can hardly wait for the snow to fly and strap the boards on.

2nd Rush Jacket. Have used it for a few months now. Love the changes from prior models such as including a 2nd drop pocket. I take this touring, on the resort and even wear it around town. Performs above expectations always. Can always rely on it, have had it out in some downright nasty conditions and always come home dry. Note: I do find the current model a touch roomier than the prior models. Not enough to warrant sizing down but just something I've noticed.

Amazing fit, ample pockets, great coverage down my back and you can feel the quality. There is nothing to dislike about the Rush jacket. I really look forward to wearing it in the coming months. I am very happy with my purchase.

I am 175 cm, 65 kg and purchased the S size.
I bought an XS ALPHA and I found that was a bit too tight for snowboarding. And I decide to get this jacket which is design for alpine snow sport.
Fit is great, just long enough to prevent any snow from getting in but I can bend freely.
It is fully water-proof, I snowboarded on the west shore. Been on many powder days and rainy days. I am the one who is dry and laugh at the end of the day.
*One thing that I notice, the shell material is not as robust as the Alpha SV. And I think this can be an opportunity to improve.

Full disclosure, I have not yet used this jacket, but it is already clear that it's the best quality shell I've ever owned and has all the features you could ask for at this price point. The fit is perfect to use for snowboarding with a couple layers underneath.
