Shoe if fine but listed weight is grossly inaccurate. Asics specification lists the weight at 10 ounces. I purchased the shoes, placed the pair on my kitchen food scale and determined the actual weight to be 24 ounces for the pair. I'm climbing Mt Whitney this summer, about 22 miles and 10,000 paces. An extra half-pound per step means My legs are lifting 5000 extra pounds that day compared to the advertised weight.

Of the Gel-Venture line, the 6 is my favorite. They are getting harder to find, and I was so glad to find them here. They are great for walking/hiking, and don't have the break-in period that some shoes do.

I love these shoes and this is now my second pair. I use them to run on pavement, dirt, jetty rocks and the beach. They have great support and good looks. The price I got was excellent. I hope ASICS continues to produce this model.

Very comfortable shoe. I wear a 2E (wide) in most shoes and I got a 4E in these shoes. They are right on. I really wish more companies and more shoes were made in the larger wide sizes. I wear a 14wide in most shoes and finding them, and having them actually fit can be an issue.

Excellent shoes for the outdoor. Easily beats the Nikes and other brands with comfort alone. The fit this shoe provides and the ruggedness for outdoor is amazing

Asics has always been my go to running shoe but over the years they stop making the shoes I like so this time I stocked up on the Venture 6.It's a great shoe both in feel and in look.If you can still find some for sale you should go for it.

Very happy with this shoe; I bought a men's size 9.5 even though I wear a size 9 in women's; I was able to insert an orthotic and wear heavier socks which made this shoe perfect; the wide toe box is so comfortable. I'm a nurse and on my feet up to 12 hours a day. This shoe helps a lot with knee and back pain; plus the price was unbeatable through the website.

These are the best for my flat arch-- comfortable and very supportive. Been wearing Asics for years and definitely will continue.

I'm not a runner but I use these for working out on elliptical. Most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.

Horrible, asymmetric soles. Regret buying. The right side has a bump at the heal.

These Gel-Venture 6 shoes are the best fitting, made, and wearing Asics I've ever owned. Ideal for gym/walking/hiking/treadmill/bum around use. Better than all the subsequent Asics I've owned. Too bad i can't find Indigo Blue/Black/Energy Green in size 11 4E.

Not much cushioning. Good for walking but not much traction

I walk about 3-4 miles a day on streets and sidewalks and these provide great support and feel. Have had gel venture 6 before and they last.

perfect for AM dog walking and I own several pair to keep them dry between wearings

My first pair was amazing. That's why I ordered an identical pair online in the same size. I used the numbers right off the tongue of the original pair, so I knew I would be getting the same ones. However the left sneaker is not the same as the right sneaker. It felt different right out of the box, but I kept it hoping that as I wear them the left would become more comfortable. But I was wrong. So I will likely be looking for a new pair very soon.

Developed a sore heel. Podiatrist told me to get 2 pair (inside and outside) of Asics sneakers. Bought Gel 6 MX and less expensive pair. Replaced the less expensive pair with another Gel 6 MX. The first time I put them on pain was reduced at least 80%. I was truly amazed my heel could feel that much better that quickly. Only had one month and sneakers in good shape. Very glad I purchased these Asics sneakers.

This seemed like a low budget Asics shoe but it's fantastic for an everyday walker. I liked the style and it's got great cushion. Fit is as expected. I really like these shoes.

Great shoe at a great price! I've used these shoes so far on an 8-mile and a 11-mile hike. Grips well and is comfortable. The only thing that would make it 5 stars in a bit more support in the ankle. Possibly another eyelet for the shoe strings so I can do a runner's knot. Other than that, I am very pleased with the purchase
