I bought these for my priest. I turned him onto SAS some years ago because his feet pained him and he has worn nothing but SAS since. He LOVES them. He wears them until they are completely spent so I got him 2 new pairs for Easter, one VTO and one Navigator. One happy customer.

I had purchased a pair of SAS Side Gore loafers and liked them so much that I then ordered these - practically identical except these have a more robust sole. Very good shoes but just a little heavier than the Side Gore - so for me slightly less comfortable, and anyway I don't really need the heavier sole. Thanks to Zappo's excellent return policy I was able to return these and ordered another pair of the Side Gore in a different color. Those are really great loafers, especially since they are available in narrow widths (which I need but rarely find) - and great service from Zappo's!

Like the non-skid bottoms of the shoes. However, these shoes do not have the longevity the slip on Penny loafer has.

I have worn SAS shoes for decades. However the soles on these looked like they would pickup small stones as I walked. Would have to take them off to enter the house or risk damaging the floor. I know some folks always take theri shoes offf in the house but I always forget. They have been returned.

It looks awful. This is grandpa geriatric all the way. But grandpa knows comfort and these are pretty good. The one exception being the toe box is a bit cramped for a shoe like this. The leather is ugly but buttery soft so it’s a shame the toe box isn’t a smidge wider.

These were very uncomfortable, and were much too wide, even in the narrow size ordered.

I buy a "loafer" because I want to slip it on easily, saving time over lace-up shoes. This shoe has a very non-rigid heel; even with a shoehorn it's a bit challenging to put them on, and even when they're on my feet the heel doesn't stand straight up until I manipulate it a bit. After that I realize that I could have saved time by wearing my lace-up shoes. Of course, like other SAS shoes, these will probably last me the rest of my life.

Elastic makes shoe too night on the upper part and it also makes it impossible to stretch the leather

I stand at a computer work station for about 7 Hrs a day. I have pain in my arch and heel. A coworker swares by these shoes but I have been wearing them for 2+ weeks now and I can't tell a difference from my Clark's shoes I wore previously.

The sole of the shoes is very uncomfortable. It is like a piece of rock under your heel. There is no way you would be able to stand in these shoes more than an hour without getting extreme pain in your heel. I had to stop work and go switch shoes. Also, the width of the shoes is too narrow. I bought an 11.5M. It felt like 11.5 narrow. may be the regular version of this shoe would be ok, but stay away from this non-slip one. Thanks Zappos for allowing me to return it!

The shoes are too big and the arch is too high, so much that it causes plantar fasciitis
