I purchased this shoe for my 95-year-old mother. Everything I have tried for her is either too hard to get on, too short, bothers a toe problem, uncomfortable to walk in, etc. She tried these on and loved them immediately. After several weeks wear, she still loves them. They are the only shoes she wears. I guess I will have to get her another pair. And they do not look like "old lady" shoes.

For many years I have had multiple problems with my feet. I have no natural padding on my feet and as I have gotten older and my joints have enlarged, it has become more and more painful to walk in most shoes. However, this shoe is extremely comfortable, with a lot of good support. I ordered two sizes: 9.5N and 9.0N. My foot has indeed obecome slightly longer. I am keeping the 9.5N and plan to exchange the other shoe for 9.5M in another color. I highly recommend this shoe for problem feet.

I purchased these shoes for my little 88 year old mother. She was so excited when she opened the box she immediately put them on. She loved, loved, loved them! The shoes fit perfectly, comfortable and very stylish (not to mention very safe)for "senior" shoes. She's wearing them constantly now and enjoying every step.

LOVE MY NEW SAS SHOES! I read a review about the width being "not true to size." I took a chance. I wear a wide shoe. I ordered women's 11 W. Worked well for me. Have them on right now. Any other size would not have worked and a WW would have just been too wide. The shoe is a bit slippery...it is a boat shoe....I will need to rough them up on the bottom. I think that is something to consider. For me, I love the style and the fit...I will deal with it. The color is awesome, exactly like the photo. I do not know how I could be more pleased. I just had 4 surgeries on my feet in Noverber 2016. These are my summer shoes. The leather is so very soft and such a delicate color that will work with every aspect of my summer wardrobe, while my ankles and feet heal. Cozy.

My podiatrist insists I wear orthotics all the time, for a dropped metatarsal and cracked sesamoid. He also says I need to wear shoes with a closed back to prevent tendinitis. I complained that I wanted to wear sandals in the summer. He suggested two brands that might have something suitable: SAS and Orthofeet. I was SO glad to find these. The requirements: they have a removable insole, so my orthotics fit; not only is it a closed heel, but it's firm enough to hold my foot in place and cushioned really well-- no rubbing on the heel. They are comfortable, with soft leather. They're cool in the summer, just perfect since there are basically no actual sandals I can wear. I'm an 8 m, and these fit perfectly. The cushioning all around the top is really comfortable. I like the way they look, too. Basically fisherman sandals. I now have them in 2 colors--sage and linen. So glad to have something other than walking shoes that need socks in the summer. Can't praise these enough!

I really like the looks of this shoe. It it had fit me I think it would have been otherwise comfortable. I bought an 8.5 W (my normal size) but it was tight across the vamp; so, I ordered the 8.5 WW and had the same problem. The length was ok, and the width was ok except for the vamp. I'm giving it a 5 for comfort and style...it's my fat foot that's the problem. Good luck.

The only criticism I have is they don't help with my pronation. The arch support isn't strong enough.

I bought these shoes for my 92 year old mother, who has narrow and sensitive feet. She tells me that they are comfortable, do not hurt her toes, support her feet, and she does not have to shuffle her feet when she walks. She likes the style because they are dress enough to wear to church and out with friends as well as everyday wear. She is extremely picky about her shoes, so when she says she likes these, that is saying something.

I have a pair of these in black and decided to get another pair in the chestnut. I find them to be comfortable to wear all day in the office environment and even at conferences where I might do a lot of walking over a smooth indoor surfaces. I went to the SAS store to have the first black pair fitted so did not mind ordering a second pair of the same shoe in the same size online. I don't like them for taking walks outdoors and require a more supportive shoe such as a trail runner for that. My grandmother wore SAS shoes and as my feet age, now I know why. I just can't wear cute inexpensively made shoes without good support any more. Although these shoes do remind me of my grandmother's style, they are comfortable and look fine with slacks or office casual capris.

As a sale person told me, 'Ones you buy SAS, you never go back to other brands'. Very good quality, soft leather, well crafted insole. I've bought same pair for my mother a few years back and now we bought it again. The only bizarre situation - in order to buy the same size I had to purchase these shoes half size bigger. We measured soles of the pair she had and it turns out SAS changed its sizing. Didnt know its possible.

Fit was great. However, the soles are very smooth. This shoe is diebetic medicare approved, but someone with mobility probs couls slip and fall. Im attaching non-slip pads to soles of shoes so i will feel safe walking in them.

Very comfortable shoe. A bit wide ( I ordered Medium width) but it's good with a thicker sock which can be a problem with other shoes and I'd wear these in weather where I needed socks so it's a win. Good looking comfortable shoe,enough said??

I love the shoes but did not like the rounded toe box. Wish the style was slightly pointed. These look stubby on my feet. Sadly I will return them and keep looking. I had hoped the look would eventually appeal to be but that did not happen. The next time I find a pair that I love I will order a second pair immediately!

Ordered a larger size but still there was not enough toe room. I guess the toe box area runs shallow.

I wanted to like them - the dark pewter color is terrific, and would go with lots of things in my closet. They are well-made, were cushy, and a nice style. The size was small, though. I ordered my normal size (9.5B), and they were just a tad short. Also, because I had a high instep, the closure fastened only about half-way, leaving an unattractive patch of black velcro underneath. I returned them - so close, but not quite.

They look really cute in the picture but are really large in person. I bought my usual size but maybe shoes are just being made larger anymore? Honestly looked like Bozo the clown feet. I guess somewhat comfortable but again huge and bulky.

I really want a pair of comfortable shoes and I usually wear a 7 in Naot. In the sas, the 7 was too small and the 7.5 was too small. I am debating on whether to order a half size to a size 8.

Despite being a plastic/rubber material the soles seemed very slick. I decided to try wearing them around the house a bit to see if they were comfortable, and fell down the stairs. Fortunately, I’m shook up and have nasty bruises, but nothing more serious, I’m returning these and expect a FULL refund.

Absolutely NO support in this shoe. Felt cheap and flimsy. Completely unacceptable in a shoe costing $163.

The shoe was beautiful; I think my foot size has changed! :)
