Always a pleasure to get a new pair of SAS shoes. These have a pebbled finish compared to the old penney loafers but still are elegant and suitable for casual and business wear. Very comfortable.

Penny loafers are the staple in my shoe wardrobe. I had a pair of the original "Penny's" that I have had for years. I think I may have had them resoled, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I shopped department stores, family shoe stores, men's specialty shoe stores, and couldn't find anything that I was comfortable with. I couldn't find the SAS shoe anywhere in south Florida. Finally, I decided to get on the SAS website and order a pair of black and brown. They arrived in 3 days, I put them on, and they felt great! No muss, no fuss, no break in, just put them on and go. Thank you, SAS, for your continued commitment to quality shoemaking.

I have a narrow foot with low instep in a longer size, but SAS has my exact size! I will definitely purchase again in the future.

Shoes returned to SAS for credit. Otherwise, these appear to be a shoe I would like. Wish they made it in a narrower last.

Have been wearing these loafers for over 20 years. I find the quality of the leather, the leather sole to be perfect.

I bought my black penny 40 about 15 years ago a cordovan about 10 years ago. They have been great ever day shoes for work and whatever. I'm retired now need to replace the cordovan.

Well made and true-to-size. Please make more styles in the "slim" width.

This shoe runs somewhat short and has a low instep as well as narrow in width. Because I normally, in a shoe with a substantial toe box, wear a 9.5B, I ordered a 10B, which I can wear without socks and fits like a glove. So, to be really happy with the well made shoe, adjust the size ordered to accommodate the snug fit.

I am a cobbler and I am immediately struck by the quality materials and craftsmanship of this shoe. And they are fun to work on. The fit and comfort is exceptional. There was no break in time. I put them on and wore them all day. For a shoe of this quality the price is great.

THANK YOU!!! I have a seven-year-old pair of SAS cordovan penny loafers. I ordered a new pair, in both cordovan and black, and they arrived today. And they are just as comfortable as the originals. The fit is perfect, the comfort keeps giving and giving. I wear them all day long, and am often on my feet throughout the day. Thank you for bringing them back for your 40th anniversary! Congratulations and here's to 40 more!

I made them ore comfortable by inserting a 1/8 foam shoe liner under the current insole. They need some consideration there.

Love the shoe for its classy looks and quality craftsmanship. I only wish it could be slightly less expensive.

I got these a fraction of the price on an auction site. These shoes are nice and simple. They are leather and I immediately put a penny in them. They wont fit a quarter like I want, but these shoes are stylish, smart and leather. Worth every penny!

The shoes are a great fit, but the leather quality and finishing is not of a high quality. The leather looks cheap, almost like faux-leather, and the stitching on the right shoe is very rough. There's a great deal of puckering and the edge isn't finished. For the money it's not good.
