Love this jacket! The material is soft unlike some other jackets I’ve tried. It’s also lined which is a plus. The sleeves are nice and long and the pockets are deep. Haven’t tried it in the rain yet.

This is an awesome raincoat! I love the longer length, so I know my skirts will be protected from the rain. The adjustable side tabs are also great, as they allow for a sleek silhouette. The sleeves do run on the long side, and I needed mine shortened by once the hem. Some people have panned this raincoat because it lacks a double zipper. The zipper will NOT break if one orders the correct size for one's hip measurement. When I sit down, I have plenty of slack. I totally recommend purchasing this raincoat.

First, you need to know that I tried on THREE North Face coats before finding the perfect one. I felt like Goldilocks looking for the “just right” fit— and the winner was the LANEY II Trench Raincoat. For reference, I am 5‘ 8.5” tall. I weigh about 145 pounds, and my measurements are approximately 39/32/39. I typically wear a 10 or a 12 because I have somewhat large chest, broad shoulders, and long arms. Amazingly, the sleeves on this coat go all the way down my arms. That hardly ever happens. Also, it’s better for me to accentuate my waist than have a boxy-tent look in a coat, so the adjustable waist “cinch” straps on the Laney II are a detail I truly appreciate. In fact, the overall shape of the coat is very stylish—way more than typical raincoats. I’ve read other reviews about this raincoat by people who complain about not having the zipper release/zip up from the bottom, but that’s no problem for me. One more comment: I also liked the Gray (Heather?) color except that the gray material seemed much stiffer than the softer/lighter feel of the black material.

Sleek raincoat. Warm & stylish. Very fitted, size up if you want to layer. Unzip first if you want to sit. Narrow fit may bother some.

I ordered this jacket in both the XS & S in the New Taupe Green color. First, this color is a gorgeous olive green. It looks nothing like the color that is shown on the website...Zappos, you need to post a different photo...you are doing an injustice to this coat. For the fit, I typically range between XS & S in TNF products. The XS fit but I couldn't wear anything heavy underneath it. The S was a much better fit for what I wanted. I wanted a coat that would get me through Spring and late Fall. With a sweater underneath I can see wearing this into late November (I live in Cincinnati). The sleeves are long, however, the pattern underneath the coat is very cute so I don't mind having to roll them up a little. The BIG dilemma with this coat is the zipper. Given the length of the coat there should be a two way zipper (I'm 5'3"). I knew that going into the purchase because of all the reviews but I was so intrigued with this coat that I wanted to give it a try. Other then the zipper, this coat is exactly what I was looking for. Plus, the price is unbelievable...40% off. I haven't made my decision of whether to keep it or not. This coat is so beautiful, comfortable and the price is pretty good for TNF. If you are thinking about it I suggest you give it a try and see for yourself. The only time I can really see the zipper being an issue is when I'm driving...that's what I'm telling myself :)

Loved it...until the zipper broke. Very flattering coat and perfect for fall in New England. Until the zipper started splitting from the bottom every time I tried to zip it! Luckily I returned it and hope to try another North face coat with hopes that it was just one defective zipper!

Loved this coat! Great fit, very flattering, just the right length. (size XS - I'm 5'3, 104 lbs) Would have kept it but realized that I need a raincoat with light insulation to be able to wear it when it gets cold. I'll keep looking.

This is a great everyday raincoat for the Seattle drizzle! I had a different North Face which was nice, but this one is actually super cute :) Functional and stylish!

Very pretty

I was looking for a spring jacket and this jacket was perfect. It is lightweight and comfortable. It also is more fitted which gives it a stylish look.

This trench is perfect for rainy season. It's lightweight so fits in my bag easily and very stylish. It fits figure well and has great pockets. The hood is comfortable too, doesn't get into my face.

This jacket is great! I love the straps at the waist to really form it to your body and gives it a better look.

Recently wore this jacket to go walking around a track. It is so stylish and comfortable! I ordered this jacket specially for an upcoming trip to Italy because it is lightweight to pack and also a very stylish rain jacket. The way it cinches at the waist really adds a slimming effect and makes it much more fashionable then the average rain jacket. Love, love, love and would buy it in grey if and when they restock!!

Love all North Face jacket and coat and fit perfect

This rain jacket is more substantial than a lightweight rain jacket. It feels comfortable and is designed to keep rain from your face with its added hat bill extension. It is cut to wear over clothing and is full cut to allow moving room. The zipper and pockets are well thought out. I would recommend.

I like a longer jacket, with a hood option, longer sleeves, and a comfortable fit. I like that the waistline is adjustable. This is my new go to jacket. I absolutely love it! I have one in black as well.
