These used to be my favorite shoes ever. The reissue is very upsetting for two reasons. 1. The shoes feel smaller than the original version. I do not have enough space for my toes because the top is lower than they used to be. Ive been wearing these for a week hoping to break them in but every time I put them on they still feel too small. 2. The quality has dropped. It is obvious that the material is not the same and I have a feeling these will be more like the v2 which ripped within 4 months as opposed to the original v1, which lasted me a year and a half of every day use. I still love the look of these, but the leather aspects are also cheaper quality than the original shoe was and actually look kind of plasticy. I really wish NB would just issue the original Cruz v1 without branding it as a "reissue" and slightly changing them to make their logo more visible. They were such perfect, amazing, comfortable shoes that I could use for anything except business. These are slightly more sneakerish and frankly, not as good.

The fit and feel of this shoe was amazing, however, the lack of support around the heel made the shoe shift around when I would step. This made the motion as I walked a little uncomfortable. I had to send the shoe back, unfortunately.

I love NB, but these were a STRANGE fit. I normally wear a 6, and bought a 6.5 due to the tighter fitting knit style. I needed to go to a 7, that's how tight it was to get my foot in. On top of that, on the inside of the heel there is this very weird padded lip, I'm assuming to grip your back heel but wow was it odd feeling for me.
Back they go.

I really liked the color and way these shoes looked but the heel fit was too low and tight
The v2 style had a much better heel design but still felt small
I would say that both these styles run smaller

These shoes had a defect - one side of one shoe was sewn a little crooked - not so much that it looks or feels awful, but I definitely noticed it and wonder how it will effect how the shoes wear over time. Zappos awesome customer service had a new pair shipped next day, but unfortunately the next pair had the same issue so I assume it was a bad batch. I ultimately kept them because I needed them for a trip and didn't have time to return again or find something else. Bummer to have to keep defective shoes but I do appreciated Zappos great customer service. My advice to others is to check your pair to make sure they are sewn straight before wearing them!

I love NB shoes. Bought these for office use since i have a knee issue and am wearing athletic shores to work. I a returning these. Eve my OLD NB shoes provide more support AND my feet were cold all day. Mind you these were intended for light duty and could not even fit that bill. Would NEVER consider running in them.

Normally i wear a 7.5-8. I got an 8 and returned for an 8.5 and still too short. There are these pads in the heel so I'm not sure if that's pushing my foot more forward? I'm not sure. Also, because of the padding the shoes keep slipping out. Disappointed because i really like how these looked.

The design of the heel area shoves the foot forward into the toe area...very odd and uncomfortable.

I was really excited about these shoes especially bc of their affordability and design. I haven't worn new balances in years and usually wear Adidas and Nikes. I'm a nurse so I go through shoes quickly and am always looking for a new favorite line of shoes and unfortunately these didn't do it for me. The soles are thin and don't provide much comfort and causes my big toe to hurt for a whole day after. I've never had issues with any other shoes I've bought and were really disappointed. Short term casual wear was okay but I wouldn't recommend this shoe for long days of standing and walking.

Not a good fit for wide feet....even in the wide! Generally New Balance fits wide feet well but these fit more like a Nike.

There is no tongue in this shoe! It is sewn in. I have a very high arch, so could not even get my foot in the shoe. I ordered a wide, yet due to the tongue being sewn in, the foot opening is very small. Most colors in my size were sold out, so I purchased copper rose, which is rather boring. Since I could not get the shoe on, I cannot rate the arch support, so it is on the default rating.

I use orthotics and my regular new balance size for 990's is 8. These look good but we're just too tight.

I was so excited to get these shoes. After eyeing them for weeks I ordered them. I typically wear a size 7 so I sized up to 7 1/2. I put them on and my toe touched the front of the shoe so I decided to try an 8 (I don't own a single size 8 shoe). I got the 8's and they are STILL small. The 8's are soo similar fitting to the 7 1/2. Also the heel is pretty low which is an odd sensation. Really cute shoe, but not really functional... Really disappointed...

I was expecting these to be extremely cushiony but was disappointed. They are kind of ugly and I find the Asics Gel-Fit Sana to be much more comfortable.

I was so excited about these - I got them in the floral and white but when they arrived, they were too small. I usually get a 8.5 and will be returning the white ones. I wore the floral ones to try to stretch them out, and I felt heel pain the next day and my toes are so sore because my feet slide forward. They are also very narrow. Not good for high impact. I do not recommend for running or even walking. Cute though!!!

The inner lining on the heel of these sneakers have a very uncomfortable "ridge". Not sure why it's there?

I had extreme foot pain within 10 minutes of wearing these shoes. No issues with any previous NB shoes. Bought another pair of 574's

I have two other pairs of Foam Cruz that fit great. These new versions are WAY too narrow, despite being 2E. Back they go. Too bad because my older Foam Cruz shoes are the most comfortable ever, though the uppers got multiple holes in a relatively short period of time. And I only walk in them, no running. But I still wear them, holes and all. Anyway, I expected New Balance to do better with this "reissue" version.

I returned the shoe because it was very difficult to put on due to the no tongue design and tight fit. I wear New Balance 608 daily and love them. I have Plantar Fascia which causes pain at the toes and heel. Please recommend some shoes that would give some relief. Thank you, Frank

I had the originals, which I liked much better than these. For some unknown reason NB decided to put side cushion pads in which make the shoe very uncomfortable for me. I sent them back, not a fan.

As the headline says, the left shoe's sole came unglued after 7 weeks of light use. While I might have brushed this off as an anomaly, I was not offered a refund unless I paid to have the shoes returned (I bought them online) since the return fell outside of the 45 day return window. To be clear, I reported the issue just under 2 months of the date I purchased the shoes online. I still have a pair of the original Fresh Foams, now 3 years old. I'm very disappointed not only in what appears to be greatly diminished quality in the Fresh Foam Reissues (especially compared to the originals), but in the service I received in trying to get a fair refund for a clearly inferior and defective product. I won't be buying New Balance again.

I gave them 1 star because that is the lowest available. It should be 0.
As soon as I opened the box, these shoes had an awful smell.
I tried to put them on & couldn't even get my feet into them. The opening is so small!

Not sure why, but this style shoe is shorter than other size 12EE NB models I own. My toe hit the end of the shoe - not comfortable. I returned them.
