Really well made, compares favorably to CG in quality and is CG Level 3-4 warmth. In NJ climate, this coat is absolutely perfect. Very solid quality materials and workmanship except for the zipper, which does need an upgrade at this price. I also don’t like the non-detachable hood (even using max adjustment) coming up 6” past my nose, which keeps my face very warm but inhibits visibility and hearing...a bad mix for walking around in big cities and obviously when driving (if your car’s heater is broken).
I wish every reviewer would provide a datapoint on sizing, cuz they’re often not comparable between vendors. I’m 5’-8”, 168 lb, muscular but not V-shaped, size 42R-short (L) in jackets, and this L fits, but it’s a generous fit. I needed to cinch the waist down and tighten the Velcro on sleeves which effectively shortens them, but tends to bunch ‘em up which slightly impedes movement, while the bottom covers my rear, as it’s designed to. For my body shape and preferences, L is the correct size because: 1) I like the option of layering under this coat, as there’s room for a base layer, plus a thick flannel shirt or sweater (or not if you cinch down), and 2) I hate tight jackets that affect my mobility, esp while driving.

I am returning this because unfortunately Medium would have been the correct size, and you're out of those. however, for others' reference, this seems like one of the warmest mens' parkas on Zappos. i could not find a North Face coat that seemed quite this warm. I'd say it runs TTS. My son is age 20 and 6'0, weighs about 165 but he did not like the fit of the Large. Young people don't like "baggy" clothing I guess. If we could get it in his size, this would be my/our choice for upstate NY winters. Instead we are going to decide between another one of this brand which has fiberfill not down. Another choice is going to be a down filled RL Polo puffer (again...young person resistant to the "puffer" thing). If it fits you and you are comfortable with the fit, this could be a good sturdy coat for a person who's gonna wear their parka hard. Best and enjoy

This parka is very warm and comfortable; which is the reason wanted one. I just wish they would have put a better zipper on it. Sometimes it can be a pain because they used a double zipper. One with larger teeth might have been more appropriate for this garment.
