Definitely sticky outsole. The double tongue doesn't work if you have low-volume or narrow feet. Once you cinch down the laces, the double tongue reaches it's minimum and then starts to fold on itself — not comfortable. Probably fine for wider feet.

These rock! I use them for easy hiking, scrambling, short approaches, canyoneering, travel and generally rambling in the outdoors. They aren't super sensitive or precise on vertical rock, but they are super comfortable, and somewhat supportive (slightly more supportive than the Cruzer Psyche). If you want an approach shoe for burly, aggressive, technical approaches and adventures there are probably better options out there. However, if you're looking for something you can wear casually (and stylishly), but still sneak in some quick adventures--they rock! You can chase your kids, and then head out for a scrambling mission in the Flatirons in these. They're a very versatile outdoor lifestyle shoe, especially at the $100 price point. The Trax Enduro outsole rubber is pretty sticky; definitely on-par the rest of the approach shoes on the market.
I'd also recommend:
La Sportiva, Scarpa, Five Ten.

When I first put these on, i thought, "What a nice-looking and comfortable shoe. But after wearing them for a few minutes, the soles were incredibly stiff and uncomfortable. Not for me. I wear a women's 11, these men's 10 fit well, though were a tad wide.

These shoes look nice but aren't very comfortable. They fit poorly on the heels and rub. The soles are stiff, which is weird since I bought them from the "minimalist" section of zappos. Don't buy these.
